your kitchen is looking great. If u had tried and u feels comfy then no worries! that's good news, no need to change. ours was pretty extreme. sat and immediately feels like sooo cramp.

ehh thought urs is baron... I dun agree on the standard size thingy... standard size for the outlet in let maybe.. but the seat wise there is definitely difference cos we personally sat on it. The moment hubby sit on the Baron one, he jump up and complain he can't even fit on the seat. That is when I hop on and realise that ehhh I also dun feel comfy... I believe it is probably the seat cover that matters.

yup from Asia Excel IMM branch. I suggest you go back, then ask to try out the bowl. Sit on it and try. Initially I didn't sit on it then Fannie and family cue us and when I sat on it I found it really uncomfy. I guess after u try and you dun feel comfy it can still be changed.

i also like everything square square but too bad the Baron bowl was comfy... so i changed to a more rounded one and also other than my MBR basin which is round every other thing is squarish

Gaku, very well thought plan. I can volunteer for west side project since my place and office in the west. Really dun mind helping out so that other new house owners can still get the reno work done at a good price. cos I really think uncle's pricing and personality is hard to come back

I agree on the part that he should take jobs only within his means instead of trying to fulfill all the job requests that goes to him. It'll be better off for him, his reputation as well as all his customers. Pet, maybe hor u should pull uncle one side to teach him a little abt proper project and time management. He should set a quota. e.g. not more than 8 projects to start concurrently per month or something like that. He can't help nor satisfy all the referrals that goes to him but it's more important to make sure that whoever he takes, it is his responsibility to deliver a satisfactory job. Otherwise if this goes on, no one else will dare to appoint him with just a few satisfied customers singing praises but with many more customers expressing their displeasure. Being Mr Goody nice guy is one thing but the ability to deliver project with minimal hiccups is another. I'll try to speak to him as well.

uhmm actually i seldom call uncle. At most I call him once in 3-4 days to tell him things that I think needs his attention. Like my fat fat skirting which I mentioned in my T-blog. Uncle did says he will go up to see but he has yet find time. I also called him regarding my windows that don't looks too tinted. Other than that I just leave it to his workers to do the work while I go up everyday to look look see see. Yesterday he miss my call and did not return my call either. So really.. the treatment is homogenous. I can understand how uncle feels man, assuming each owner calls him once a day!! I am planning for office reno and hor my boss hor everyday call me a few times regarding the reno. Then hor he call me tell me 1 thing at a time... e.g ivy tell ID I want poster frames in consult room. next call Ivy tell ID I want signage and labelling for my room. next call, Ivy tell ID I want glass cabinets in blah blah room.... All these can be mentioned all in 1 shot in a meeting, which I think is more constructive and efficient.. and somethings ahhh are understood mah!! e.g signage and labelling... now when i see his number I'll start mumbling some curse with my face all screwed up hahahahha ohhh sorry for the rant.... got carried away... anyway growler I sympathise with you.. cos u have to live in such condition... I need to call uncle later to ask for my laminate samples.. he owe me very long le.. my tiling almost done but yet to select my laminate floor... will maximise the call and help to remind him of ur paint work. poor you.. i can't imagine living in a disrepair toilet... hi guyy77 u call boh geh uncle ahhh?? Ah Hock is right that from outside u see, it is much darker. Today afternoon, I went back to take a peek at the window from downstairs. The tiler open up the casement windows at the balcony area and from downstairs, I can see that it is actually darkish. If that is the case I am ok with it. Anyway Ah Hock was nice, he says if I do too dark the house will looks very dark when I close the windows and since I got curtains, this little tint will work just fine. He says if I still think that I want it much darker, he will do a solar film for me FOC.

i thought so too. But I can still see the white strip that they use to put at the corner to ensure that the wall is straight. So i think for my place they will be doing plastering after the tiles.

on the QC part got a simple solution. Host open house!! just like Smallboy. Visitors will help you spot the defects hahahah

The team at my place was held up due to the late delivery of my kitchen tiles.. suppose to complete mine on tuesday but we decided to add on wall tiles for kitchen, suppose to finish wall tiles by today but tiles not delivered.... so wherever this group is going to will be held up. hmmm I used to have 5 tilers, today only got 4, can he be the one that went over to your place?
