He says it looks ok to him leh... and I am sure uncle not yet go up and see... Jason tried explaining it to me but aiyah.. I one ear in one ear out and still think that it looks a little fat.. Will see what uncle say when he did find time to go up. Not gonna rush him up to my place over this tiny issue. Leave him to spend more time for the few of you who urgently needs the flat. Today I called Jason hoping to make appoinment with him regarding my carpentry, eletrical and plumbing works. Who knows I majiam strike 4D! I called him at 515pm and he says he can meet me at 615pm. i shelved all my other plans and detour back home. Along the way at 525pm he called me again and say he can arrived in 15mins time. wahhhh make me kalang kaboh... I wanted to show him pictures of the carpenty works I wanna do, but he suddenly appear like that my pictures are all over the place and I am not prepared.. The meet up was a short one, it ended at 615pm. We just went through how to run the water pipes and what are the main carpentry works. I'll go up to draw on the wall where I want my power points to be tomorrow and arrange another more detailed session with him in the next few days. Good luck to me. I really don't wish to encounter Jason's self creativity and independence by deciding for me how my carpentry work should be. I don't mind him suggesting but I must agree. As usual poor Jason haven't got his lunch when he met me, but he said quite a number of house owner he met today fed him with bao. He even share with me 2 pieces of "lao po" biscuits whom a houseowner gave to him. Whoever gave it to him, don't mind ahhh he insisted I eat :x

mine is contractor price leh, so it will not be a fair comparison. I do have some ID's quote before but all dunno throw where le :x let me go and see whether i can dig them out and give u a rough idea of what is a more reasonable quote. before that u see, ur shoe cabinet and the box up cost u like more than $2k??? my god. my contractor price for a 4ft full height shoe cabinet is $700. which is about $175 per foot fun. Say if it is ID maybe they charge $200-$220, for 6.5ft is at most $1500. not sure how other forummers think. but in my view the calculation should be around there. there's another forummer who use blum and i think the runner ID quoted $200+ per set but blum charges contractor at contractor rate so contractor charge her around $90+ for 1 runner can save $100. Engaging contractor will be more cost effective in a way cos u need not pay for ID salary and ID firm's profit and they usually outsource to various sub contractors who will also need to make a profit. However the biggest problem with engaging contractor is u as home owner gotta play project manager and be your own ID.

Just came back from the new place. Tiling works completed, plastering also completed. After plastering, part of the skirting still looks bui bui but at some area I think it looks fine or maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me. All walls are smoothen Kitchen wall tiles up, no regrets topping up to get the exposed part of the kitchen wall tiled. Bin chute installed. I got some doubt over the kitchen cabinet base. There will be an area whereby my cabinets will be suspended. Need base meh?? Will have to clarify that with Uncle. This is where my mini WIW will be. Now that my mansory works are completed, it's my turn to hound Jason. I've yet selected my laminate floor. For those who did laminate flooring under uncle, may I know what is the thickness of laminate you choose? He gave me an ACE brand sample to choose and it states that it is 8.3mm. I think the basic should be 10mm and thicker ones are at 12mm. I am asking uncle to give me other brands to choose but so far, he's yet to pass me the samples.

yah loh...must ask uncle to put it thru some slimming programme...
