remember to knock on the tiles and listen to see whether they are hollow. I am quite particular when it comes to hollow tiles. If u dun have the proper tool, just your key. Lightly knock around the tiles. They will sound a bit echoy if they are hollow. Good tiling work will have a solid sound and dun sound as echoy. For me, I'll accept a bit of hollow sounds here and there cos cannot expect a 100% perfect job but if majority are hollow I won't take it. Hollow tiles will have problem in the long run.

no need to buy too early. like hihihi said, it'll be good if you can find your contractor/ID first, cos some ID packages include free gifts like hood hob etc. having said that now is GSS, you can go window shopping and see whether anywhere having super good deals that you can ride on.

I had both my boys at Mt A. It's a cosy little hosp. If i ever get a 3rd one I will go back there still. Heng hor both my labour very fast one. Only during the first time, I experience the labour pain for a short while. My threshold for pain very low. I was like squirming around in pain and my gynae came in to mock at me lor. He say :" wahh like that only u cannot tahan liao ah?" ......@$!*)&%@! After I got my epidural, wahahah, everything was a breeze, no pain and can still laugh some more as I was pushing :x

booy regarding adding on of items ahhh, dun ask Jason. He everything also say must pay one. I told him my door I want long handle bar he tell me must top $200+. I told him uncle that time say included. Jason went on to say that handle expensive blah blah. So this morning I called uncle, uncle say mine already included (cos i did mention to him right from beginning), he say when it comes to dollar and cents dun ask jason, cos he "everything also dunno, only know how to say must add money" hahahah So just go and discuss with uncle and if jason is the executer just let him know u settle with uncle on the payment (or FOC) already.

if the current owner gives permission than it is ok. I did that for my place too. My sellers are very nice people and they allow us to bring the FSM up even before Handover. This is a forum to share all the goods and bads of our reno experience. As you may have realised, all uncle's customers are very real people, they express their true emotions. When they are upset, they post. When they met with hiccups, they post. When they are not happy with uncle's work standards, they also post. We don't hide uncle's flaws. It's all up in the threads for all to read and decide whether uncle is the person they wanna work with. We have also seen people taking opportunity when we post issues we encounter and jumping in to magnify mistakes that uncle make, however, there are still willing owners, who have met up with uncle, still willing to work with him. What does that show? Will we, pawn our biggest asset in life just bcos we "idolize" a pot belly, pretty poor in grooming uncle?? hahahhaha sorry for my poor manners :x There are always 2 side to a coin. you'll have to remind uncle to give u the quote. Uncle is illiterate so he needs more time to craft out the quote as he is the only one in his whole team to draft the quotes.

maybe u should ask the place where u bought ur tiles from whether ur tiles can go through acid wash. If can then u inform uncle urs can acid wash. if cannot then u must emphasize that yours cannot go thru acid washing. safer to check first.

Gaku some of the homo tiles cannot acid wash de. I selected my homo tiles from LSH, the sales person advice me not to use harsh detergent on the tiles as tehre is a protective layer on the tile. She also shared with me, cannot do acid wash.
