That is a more complicated way of telling them I totally got no idea what will be a nice height to fix certain things :x ask me this one how wide, I'll say "sui bian" ask me this can or not that can or not I'll reply :" so long as look nice and dun stand out like a sore thumb can already." no wonder uncle say my house very easy to do. hahahahha

I used a marker pen to label the location to be fixed on all the boxes. Prior to installation, the plumber also met met to confirm the location to fix the various items too.

mine more or less done. today the carpenters come and did some rectification on some minor workmanship issue. tomorrow polish floor. plumber needs to come to fix up my MBR basin and awaiting kitchen granite top

i dun think there is a standard guide, it very much decides on the individual. Maybe you can set aside an amount that u are comfortable with and try to work the addition within ur budget. in my case my VO total about $2.1K after some omission and additional. e.g of my VO is i upgraded aluminium gate to rod iron gate, I added L boxes in the rooms (which is the bulk of the VO) and can't remember what else liao hahah

remember to set aside some money for VO. cos during the process of reno, it's common to have additional works here and there.

Cos i have deep drawers, I wanted to add in the blum version of the cutlery drawer, but my dear cost conscious carpenter says no need to spend money on blum, he'll do a "drawer within drawer" for me to put my cutlery..... so that is the outcome loh
