Hdb Architects Should Be Shot!
leechaorui replied to neubie's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Even then, I think there is no reason to build the building this way. -
Usually there is one or two "Gui Tao" (aka Ghost Heads) that are influencing people around. Once you are outside of their inner circle, very hard to break in. You can try to become friendlier to those colleagues who are not so against you. At least, you will have some neutrality rather than everybody say you this and you that. When they don't cooperate with you, you will look incompetent. This is an early sign of more dangers ahead. Either you nip the danger quickly and successfully, or you may have to find another playground like what Therat wrote. Good luck.

This is fast. Very nice 3D pic too.

There are some good reviews on Joven.

In life, we win some and lose some. As long as you have good health, gainfully employed and happy, everything else doesn't matter much. Cheers!

Hi ml08576, Welcome to RT. You are fast. Wish your dream come true. Cheers!

I find that quite often cost overrun in renovation. Hence, may be safer to put in a 20% buffer in budgeting.

Wtb Zojirushi / Tiger Fuzzy Logic Rice Cooker
leechaorui replied to titanax's topic in Electronics & Electricals
I think Goh Ah Bee carries Zoji products. You can contact the shop at Tel. 62888611 to make enquiries. Their prices are competitive. I think there is a 20% promotion for Tiger products at NTUC. Not sure if they have cookers. Cheers! -
Welcome to RT and wish you a smooth reno journey. I thought the tiles and louvre windows look good. In fact, I am planning to build louvre windows for my house.

Hi Pinktini and Samgalz, Thanks for the encouragement. After seeing so many tastefully designed and renovated units, I am not sure if can get into the idea of blogging about my Kachiam Puteh Hut. Will consider blogging about the construction of my house maybe later.

Hi Pinktini, my place is a simple humble abode. Paisey to share as a T/blog.

What To Do With Terrazo?
leechaorui replied to runmyhousehold's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Another alternative is to lay outdoor bamboo/ chengai wood strips above your terrazzo. If that doesn't work, you can try overlay tiles or pebbles on your existing terrazzo. Cheers! -
Pinktini's home is very well designed and decorated. Happy to see another successful reno journey at RT.

"minor Operation" @ Bedok

Very refreshing and practical wardrobe design. -
Not true. A lot of my neigbours rely on public transport - bus and mrt to travel. Car ownership is expensive and not green. I think increasingly, more people will travel using public transport rather than private cars. Hence, staying near the MRT is a plus not only for HDB but also for landed properties. Just my view.
-
Not everyone who stays in landed rely on car as a means of transport. Older children would also take the train to school or to go out with friends. Living near an MRT station has many advantages. My place is 600 metres from Serangoon MRT, bus stop is probably 150 metres or less. Found it quite a chore to walk.

Hi Griaffe, I am not an expert in plant. You can consider the elephant climber (Argyreia Nervosa). This creeper plant has big leaves and purple flowers. Under the big leaves look silvery which gives your place a classy look when it climb up and around your trellis and provide cover for your restroom. This plant is quite hardy and easy to maintain. You only need to water it regularly.
