  1. You can check with the contractor that install your tile on how to remove the stain. My contractor use some kind of acid to help remove the stain on my tiles after he has completed the works.
  2. What distance would be considered far or near from MRT for landed houses, which are typically not so near MRT?
  3. Nice picture. Hope you have a smooth reno journey.
  4. Saw a lot of cabinet handles at Ikea. You may want to take a look there.
  5. There is an agency fee involved, there is a salary range for maids from the same country, insurance charges, different levies for different groups, tax rebates for working mum, etc... Hence, the cost of hiring a maid is not "fixed". You may want to check with a few maid agencies. Cheers!
  6. Yup, in the agreement, you are required to use the agent again if you decide to continue with the same tenant. Cheers!
  7. Thanks to Wd88 for initiating this group buy and for the hard work. I should need the locks in October and have changed my requests from F100 to F10. I would like to do something more unconventional (ie lock set without handles). Hope it is okay with you. Cheers! 1. Wd88, 9386 2658, F100 x 2 2. Leechaorui, F10 X 2 (Wd88 has my handphone number) 3. 8. Your house is well theme. Cheers!
  9. Probably got to go for white because I am using white AMP faceplate for my Cat6 cables (telephone and internet connection).
  10. Welcome to RT. Wish you a smooth reno journey ahead. Cheers!
  11. Just called Choo Chiang and was quoted (roughly) $11.80 for 1 gang, $21.80 for 2 gang, $30 for 3 gang and $40 for 4 gang before 7% GST. These are for white series and those who wish to have them in larger quantity needs to place an order with Choo Chiang. Cheers!
  12. I think they could come with LED. Anybody know the pricing?
  13. You could continue using them if you could design the house that matches with the tiles. If you want to restore the shine of your terrazzo, you can polish the tiles with a terrazzo grinder which is like a heavy floor polisher. After polishing, you can clean and seal the dry surface for a lustrous finish. Cheers!
  14. Hi Green Giraffe, Could you share on the tiles that you plan to use for your house and the reason for your choice? Exterior area is pebble wash. What about feature walls, living room tiles, kitchen and toilet wall and floor tiles?
  15. I saw the Clipsal Neo Matrix series. Look very impressive but not sure of the pricing. Has anyone use this series of switches from Clipsal before?
  16. There is warranty for F100 and if everything fails after the warranty period, you can buy a new one. I was told that the F100 is similar to the YDM4109. The cost of F100 is about 50% to 60% the cost of the YDM4109. I have made a group order and is awaiting for response on when to pay and collect the Gateman F100. If you are interested, you can also join in the group purchase. Given the price difference and similarities in function, it makes a lot of sense to get the F100 but it is your choice. Cheers!
  17. I think the workmanship is very important because I saw some pebble wash areas with cracks.
  18. Wow... I am impressed with the paintings. They are drawn from a pair of very talented hands and a serene mind.
  19. Hi Green Giraffe, I am also toying with the idea of doing pebble wash for my car porch. Are you doing everything pebble wash or a mix of tiles and pebble wash? Cheers!
  20. Do you know the model of the oven? I may want to get the same model as her.
  21. What is the brand of your oven? Looks nice.
  22. Hi Yoongf, The Palm Tree looks a bit constraint as there don't seem to have enough space for the tree. I think it will be better if the space is expanded. Do you think it is a bad idea to introduce a tree in the house?
  23. Thanks to forumers for the reply. I may consider planting a nice palm tree but will prefer a natural looking tree that don't produce too much leaves. The load bearing for the area is more than 1.5 tons because the area is supported by a pillar and a beam. I was told that as long as I don't attempt to build a Wisma Atrium type of big acquarium in that area, the area can easily take the load of three big pots of tree. Hence, there is no problem taking the load of one potted tree. For re-potting, I guess have to seek professional help from gardeners to do it every three to five years as suggested by Begof. Alternatively, I could re-plant the tree in my garden (exterior) and bring in a new tree after 3 to 5 years. Is there any type of tree that doesn't have a big crown? I am referring to those more petite medium size tree that grow up to 7 to 9 metres. I saw it in one reno magazine in the past where the decor involves putting a big pot with a tree in the living room which extends all the way to the second storey of the house. Looks very unique from the photo.
