I think after a few years, Giraffe may re-install the toilet bowls. As long as it can last a few years, probably good enough for her family. Once upon a time, I had a maid who threw small shampoo bottles into the WC, flush it and the toilet got stuck. In the end, the plumber had to dismantle the whole WC. Can't imagine the type of effort that would be needed for the wall hung WC.

Hope your problems have been settled.

You can get the Kuan Yin picture rather than a statute since budget is a constraint. Cheers!

Has anybody constructed a loft that has a picture to share? -
Hi Giraffe, very nice WC. Will repair/ maintenance be difficult for this type of WC should there be problems after some years of use?

I am helping Wd88 to do an update of the installation. I have helped to remove lonerwithaboner because he has opted out. If you have opted out and is not in this list, please update it. If you wish to be included, please check with wd88. My installation is in Oct. Hence Bro Grinders, it should be okay for you to install in Sep. The rule is Cash on Delivery and no charges/ fees will be levied if the installation of the lock is unsuccessful. If you have further questions, please check with wd88. You may want to re-laminate it. Not sure whether it will look good and whether the paint can stick on if you paint over it.

Thanks for the informative post. I am looking for rectangular table for eight persons (preferably hardwood with glass top) and the stand (aka leg) is at the centre so that there will be better leg space for the diners. Do you know whether they sell this in M'sia?

You may want to check with your painter whether he could help you to scrap off the paint and redo. I find that when there are a few layers of paints on the wall, the new paint don't stick very well. Quite often, the recommendation is to scrap off the existing paint and then re-paint the wall. After you scrap off the paint, I don't see any problem using masking tape to help you get the "stripes" you want.

I heard horror stories of electricians that try to smoke owners and over-charge for their services. To mitigate this problem, you will need to be clear what you want to get repaired/ replaced and roughly how much it will cost you in terms of materials. With that, you can evaluate if the labour charge is fair or excessive when the electrician quote you a lump sum figure to do the works. Cheers!

That's provided the buyer has agreed to pay for the service. If a service is rendered without your agreement and you could do on your own, I don't think it is fair for you to pay the agent the commission. Besides, the agent is hired by the seller and not by the buyer. Having said that, buying a flat is a happy thing. Since some service has been rendered by the agent for the buyer, the buyer could give a red packet to settle it. Cheers!

I know of an ID with electrician contact. If you wish for her to help you, you can pm me for her contact.

Welcome to RT. Wish you a smooth reno journey. Cheers! -
One house I saw did Chengai wood fencing at the back of their house and it look quite nice. As the wooden fencing is not dense, the occupants could enjoy the wind and at the same time, people behind could not see very clearly what is within the house. Something for you to consider provided it matches your theme. Cheers!

Giraffe, Are you planning to build a concrete boundary wall at the back of your house?
