Hi Mookie, Not sure if this is helpful for you. Check out this link on powder coating. It mentioned that the finishing is tougher than conventional paint. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powder_coating

In general, for home use I think the sit type of toilet bowl is okay and comfortable. The squat type is more useful for public use and is not as beautiful as the sit type. Since there is no body contact with the WC bowl, it is more hygienic. I find that many of the younger children and older folks prefer the squat type of toilet bowl. However, it can be quite tiring on the legs if one squat for some time.

Congras. Your place looks much prettier now.

Downtown Line 3 Station Locations Unveiled
leechaorui replied to neubie's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
I think there will be more MRT stations open progressively. Even those who are going to buy flats at "faraway" places may find these places becoming very central some time after new infrastructure such as roads, MRT, shopping malls, schools, etc... are built there. Agree that the younger generation will have a harder time because the prices of flats have gone up by so much and is still going up. -
Welcome to RT. I think your flat is probably in S'goon North Ave 4

Looking For A Job Whilst Pregnant

Congras on your pregnancy. Depends on your skills. If you have highly marketable skill sets, employers probably wouldn't mind. -
Is it okay to place Guan Yin on the second floor of the house, behind a solid wall and facing the balcony?

Green Living
leechaorui replied to jaxter's topic in Moving House: Packing, Storing, Moving To Your New House
Agree with you. Either (1) trimming the plants, watering, loosening the soil, removing the dead leaves, etc... or (2) sipping tea on a comfortable seat and watching the insects, flowers, plants, etc... can also be a joy. I found that the mornings and evenings are the best time to enjoy the garden because the weather is not too hot. -
Good to see the transformation of your flat. Very nice

It may be better to hold on your reno plans and do what you feel is essential. This would help you save some money and you can still renovate when you are financially better off. Interest on reno loan is quite high. The following are some of my suggestions for your consideration. my wish list for renovation: - the basics (repainting+plastering+acid wash.....etc) You can just give the wall a new coat of paint. If you engage someone to help you paint, it is also not very costly. - change tiles for entire house - build updated kitchen cabinet You may want to keep the existing tiles and repair the kitchen cabinet, if it is defective rather than replace them. - build msbr build in waredrop You may want to buy wardrobe from Garage sale. Some of the offers are given at good discount. - overhaul the 2 toilets You may want to just change the WC or basin rather than everything in the toilet. - build up a store room (ex owner hacked it) - rewiring (do you guys think its needed? since it was last done 5 yrs ago) You may want to keep your items in shelfs rather than in a store room. Shelfs are a lot cheaper. As for rewiring, you may want to consider adding additional powerpoints or lighting points to the existing wiring system rather than change it.

Hi Linda, how is the progress of your construction? Seems like you have only started construction recently and now you are already choosing flooring tiles. That's very good progress. My place started construction in March and the contractor is only starting tiling work now. There are different quality of marbles, ranging from ordinary ones to the more exotic type which is very pricey. In general, marbles in stabs and cut to size is more expensive and when cutting to size, there will also be wastages. The pro is you will be able to get the size you want. Most importantly, you like the cutting and design of the marble and is able to maintain it. Cheers!

Dusk will not be throw out of the vaccum cleaner after it gets in. The dusk will get trapped in the water. Only setback is the need to change the water. Cheers!

Installed the film in the vehicle but can't feel any difference. I guess the advantage of having a film is that it can pull the glass together, should there be a breakage.
