  1. Thanks I certainly need ur wishes. I'll be moving in next Friday. Shouldn't have more surprise I hope...
  2. Yeah u r not alone. We r in the same boat haha... Ur floor is herf or wooden laminate? Glad that u resolve the issue. Sometime I do wondering are the contractor first time working? If very experience then they can see whats the problem & won't need us the owner to tell them what's the problem ma... Right?
  3. 1 more discovery of the day, I realise the gas hob is a bit too close to the wall... If can shift 1 more inch to the front that would be better. Iquartz already installed!!! Don't think can shift anymore...
  4. 1 more thing to share: the wardrobe cabinet looks quite deep from the front view, but in actual case only the front panel is deep. The inside of drawer is not as deep as seen from the front cos need to cover the track at the bottom.
  5. Yesterday I called Evorich to enquire about the inter-flooring capping/trimming. His advice is to liase via ID & the sales person in charge & see what's was quoted in the price. If metal piece is proposed the pricing will be different. So for former who is going to install evorich herf, do ask ur ID/contractor/evorich what are your options beforehand. Don't be like me gong gong and assume things. Now door is up if I want to change to other trimming to level the floor the door gap will be larger so too late...
  6. Our MBR wardrobe after carpenter re-do the narrow drawers, nothing fanciful, centre cabinet is to place TV. The left most cabinet is to install Ikea L-shape clothes rail so that I have a small space to hang my long dresses.
  7. Yesterday we went to our place to see see look look. All the basin taps were installed, so we test it. The mbr toilet basin tap water was gushing out, so we take a look at the tap internal, it's like this: Where is the filter? There seems to be some mistake during installation and the plastic part (grey) broken. We found the broken pieces on the floor... Hope the plumber can give me an explanation why it become like this, and how he can replace the parts. The tap although is not that expensive but it cost $168 leh (it's a mixer tap).
  8. Swing slide door at the common toilet. Before Reno it was PD door. Wondering if PD door & swingslide door the same company? If there are the same then this time round the workmanship is much better. Last time the track is not that align & not smooth when sliding, & the lock also not align so every time when locking it was quite loud. This time is smooth & almost silent. The reason we didn't choose glass door - guest might not feel comfortable. Aluminium bi fold door - very loud every time open & close & got the bottom track. Wooden door - look nice but may not last long. Aluminium casement door - almost same w swingslide door, but when windy it might slam & very noisy unless we close the door. Swing slide still can close half & let the wind pass thru. Louvre door - smell awful when someone doing business inside lol... I had 4 PD door in my house b4 Reno & my 2 yrs old spoilt 2 of it but our ultimate choice still goes to swingslide door...
  9. Did u polish ur living room floor? So shiny!
  10. for shower area, there's no kerb but a drop down for the shower area. Is it more common to install the shower screen at the shower area (lowered flooring) or wc area (higher flooring)? Hmm dunno how to describe that... Below is the picture, at our mbr toilet, the shower screen is installed above the drop down. ( photo taken from inside of the shower area) But in our common toilet it's installed below the drop down. ( photo taken outside of the shower area) There seems to be a hole between the shower screen & the floor, due to the floor leveling for water drainage.
  11. Oven is installed. Love it love it love it!!! Note that there's no base/ kerb for our washing machine. The washing machine at our currently staying temporary house 'fell off' from the kerb twice in 6 weeks duration. Quite loud when it topple & frighten my kids! Lots of consideration when theres kids at home. Same for fridge - no base/kerb.
  12. Our mini cabinet at the recess area for the 2 common rooms are up. Will look better if the height is just below the window grill. But there will be protruding edges at the side coz its not the same, wall to wall like master bed room so we decided to leave it mini.
  13. Hehe we put warm tone elsewhere except toilet. Toilet need something slightly brighter so that can see pimple lol.
  14. Ya lor. I had actually asking around & comparing between different brands of laminates. Because i have kids at home so prefer to have whole house flooring to be level. What I understand is metal piece is not possible for laminates, only for engineering wood floor (I think is referring to parquet?) because need to leave space for expansion & contraction for laminate. Ended up vinyl also using the similar type of capping... Haiz...
  15. Oh u reminds me of my rabbit which went to heaven some time ago. Sob sob. I used to keep it in a large dog cage when I'm not around ( so that it won't chew my sofa), & let it out when I'm at home.
  16. Wow 179sqm is huge compared to the current new flats. Happy experimenting!
  17. I love ur master bedroom wardrobe. Nice color.
  18. My piping is about the same as urs. Initially we wanted to box up the pipe & put tiles, but later changed our mind to cabinet to conceal it. It does look better cos we have top & bottom cabinet next to the piping.
  19. 2 way lock at our mbr toilet, getting the same set for kitchen. Need to put this lock to prevent my 2 yr old going into the kitchen.
  20. Total 16 downlights in our living room. Philips 12cm. dunno whats the light bulb maybe 14w? Not bright enough... Cool white T5 at the mirror, cool white is the mid color between warm & daylight/white or something like that. In my opinion warm is too warm, daylight is too white. This cool white is still too white. If have a midrange between warm & cool white that would be the best. Fussy customer hehe...
  21. I'm getting iquartz. Not caeserstone la. Everything most high end I'll bankrupt. Will install by this week. Post photos after that
  22. Brand is not important if outcome is nice.
  23. Like ur house very much. U still remember what white paint u use for ur study room wall?I choose a white color from Nippon paint - cream white. That's the whitest white I see. Turn out to be quite yellow haha...
  24. The initial budget of 30k? Of course not... With Blum, quartz top etc... most of the thing I want something better, at least mid range, 30k won't be enough. I haven't sum up the total cost yet. Roughly i think close to 70k including air con, lightings, sofa, bed etc; exclude dining table, fridge & washing machine.
  25. Tv feature wall up Door is up. Love it
