  1. that's very reasonable. They're the 2nd owner? so how u zoom down to your ID/contractor?
  2. thought only neighbours in those newer estates kept to themselves....even older estates? Hahaha....maybe older estates are invaded by the younger generation nowadays. i dislike my new neighbour and have tolerated with their slamming of their main door plus the gate for the past 6 months+....must tahan for another 3 more months. Each time they go out or come home, they'll slam the door and gate so hard as if they'll really unhappy with the **** door/gate. The slamming start as early as 6am during school terms. 3 kids leaving the house with the maid at different timing from 6am onwards so that's 3 slamming X 2 and when the maid returns home after sending each kid to the bus stop, then thats another 3 more slamming X 2 from her. So from 6-7am = 6 slammings X 2 (i.e 6 from main door/6 from gate)
  3. wow, very nice marbles....envy envy. even the toilets are quite well kept. Can save quite alot if u decide not to re-do the tiling. congrats on getting your dream house after a long search. Btw, what's the valuation & how much COV u paid for it?
  4. i bought it as a package back in 2005 together with my RH90 hood. RB-3CG is retailing at around $925 now.
  5. bought a Hitachi bagless. 2000w.
  6. yup, SOLD! 'downgrading' due to some reasons. So Sad! yup, sometimes people have the eerie feel especially when the house is new and big. For me, I'm ok as long as 'they' dont come disturb me. So far, have seen 'them' along the corridor and getting into neighbour's house.
  7. rinnai katana hood is the hood that's angled at 45degree right? Which glass hob is included in your $1199 package? I've been using RB-3CG for the past 3 years and really love it as its easy to clean. My family had used stainless steel hob and enamel hob before but so far this is the easiest to clean. The hob is made from Japan and comes with inner burner built in hob. The price has gone up since.
  8. not too sure if I'm right abt this. If your buyer is getting a HDB loan, then COV would be paid to u during 1st appointment as HDB is acting for them. If your buyer is getting a bank loan, then COV would be paid to u in between 1st and 2nd appointment.
  9. mind telling us where's this flat located? Anyway, I found it very fishy and would never endorse my signature w/o the purchase price of the flat.
  10. Berry Christmas to all!!! Best Wishes to the coming 2009!!! Celebrating my last Xmas in my childhood dream house (EM)
  11. ya, nowadays all stainless. U definitely can get it fixed for less than $200.
  12. yup, already used singpass to check and computed the drawn out cpf + accrued interest that we need to put back when we sell our EM (nothing tied up with the 4-room I sold back in 2005) + the outstanding loan from HDB...all together = to the loan taken for my EM. The episode for my 4-room over according to HDB.
  13. should be less than $200 inclusive of labour. U can check out hardware shops around your estate...they should be able to do it
  14. yup, upgrade from 4rm to EM but the negative sales difference not computed inside the loan for EM. Merely took loan after deducting what's left in CPF for my EM. The website did stated that one has to put back into CPF whatever taken out plus accrued interest but we checked, double checked, countercheck over and over again with HDB and CPF and was told its not required since already negative sales for us. Hmm....maybe for downgrades and bank loans then gotta put back into CPF.
  15. nope, we confirm again and again that we didnt have to top up. Bought my 4 room 220k+ and sold at 190k+ in 2005. The deposit and exercise fees all go back to cpf and I didnt get a single cent.

  17. y need to top up to CPF? Sold my 1st flat at a lost but didnt have to top up. Made several trips to HDB and CPF to confirm that I dont have to top up otherwise I dont think I'll sell in the first place.
  18. currently using AC 5 from Kronotex for my 3 bedrooms. Was thinking its still very fake since the feeling and knowledge that its not parquet really dont go down well with many people. Many people still feel that laminated flooring is cheapo. I'm considering to do parquet for my next place as just sold my current flat. No problems with AC 5 from Kronotex now....really unlike other houses we visited as dont have the pop pop feeling when walking around. During the midst of my house searching, we been to 2 flats, done up with laminated flooring and gaps here and there. Really looks so badly maintained. So far mine dont have such problems and I cant imagine having such problems.
  19. Hi, thinking of having parquet flooring but existing flooring is ceramic and no intention to hack away. Anyone did it, please share your experience and how's the level of the flooring as I think the parquet flooring would be slightly higher and bottom of the door gotta be saw away.
  20. u can apply for your HLE first and see how much is your approved loan then work out from there and zoom in the flat. Even if HLE expired, u can always apply for another one.
  21. u should be able to get some limited selections from those HDB shops. Nowadays they also have some modern type of study desk with shelves.
