  1. We had no plans and just let it happen as the moment we wanted to get married, we knew we were ready to start a family. Conceived my eldest during honeymoon and 2 weeks after our customary, we were going to be parents 9 months later. Since, We were not really into nightlife or hanging out so we didnt miss out much. Throughout all these years, the kids came first...we didnt mind wearing old clothes/old shoes for xmas or even CNY but the kids just have to have new clothes/new shoes for x'mas and CNY. Cant recall when was the last time we went for a decent movie cos it was only kids movies when we visited the cinema and we really dont mind. We enjoy watching Nemo, Happy Feet, Madagascar, etc with the kids.
  2. u still could return it even if its opened.
  3. not really la cos I didnt get to 'taste' natural birth as I cant do it naturally so all were pre-planned cesarean. 1st 2 was GA as C-section epidural only became popular these few years. Their age is P5, P2 and 2 yrs old. Hubby and me loved kids and if I get a windfall, I wont mind going for another one. Urs? both also cesarean?
  4. My gynae, Dr Lim Teck Chye is from Tow Yung Clinic located at Tanglin Shopping Ctr. For me, its 3 C-sections and 1 a 8-10cm scar.
  5. yes, if confirm its black grout like mine. Washing and mopping would gradually turn it to the original black from the current white. Of course, it'll take time as our normal washing and mopping cant be compared to the acid wash. I'll just have to bear with the white grouts for the time being.
  6. its ok to change but confirm with hdb or walk around your blk to see if hdb had changed fire rated doors for affected units. If ur blk is affected by upgrading, hdb might want u to change it to a fire rated door [note: u have to pay for it whereas hdb had done it FOC for those affected units years ago]. So unfair right?
  7. give it some time. Your black grout has become 'white' grout for the time being because during acid wash, they wash from wall tiles to floor tiles...the workers did not use enough water to thoroughly wash away the white powders accumulated on the tiles so its making your black grout turn 'white'. I have this problem now and my contractor got them to do another acid wash (after i moved in for 3 weeks). Kept telling the workers to wash with more water and now most of it has finally turned black except for a few areas so we'll just need to give it some time.
  8. think typo error. 12-mm AC 5 considered very solid already
  9. wow, 17 Jun still quite far away but good timing as u can still look around and shortlist more ID.
  10. its magic sponge. Original cost quite alot. U can get cheaper ones from those $2 shop like Daiso, Japan Home or neighborhood shops.
  11. ya, if got budget, go for either full marble or granite. A trustworthy contractor or ID would advise one to retain the marble even if there's some parts broken as it can be polished to make it natural again and the broken parts would not be visible. Need alot of work to mend the broken parts as that's what happened to my friend's place. Wow, the end results was amazing.
  12. it'll depend on your budget as well as your own preference. Scratches are pretty visible for either white or black solid surface. For those wif super tight budget, most would opt for just laminates. Can also last pretty long.
  13. not sure if those squarish magic blocks would do the trick. U can try with a small portion first
  14. is it the kitchen floor?
  15. u can read more about inner flame here http://www.appliancedesign.com/CDA/Archive...000f932a8c0____ its using Black Schott Ceran Glass. U can google for more info on Schott Ceran glass what i did previously was to make a trip down to citygas showroom and see see touch touch the hobs and hoods there. Then I zoom in on the one I like.
  16. after u submit a request for valuation, someone from the valuation company (there's quite a few) would be calling u in a few days time to make an appointment to take pics.
  17. buyer only gave the unit a new coat of paint and moved in. Some of the new cabinets were done up less than a year ago. Depends on the theme of your place and also whether u want the walls to be tiled or without. Hubby wanted it so we did it half way. One side with a curved and the other just straight.
  18. ya, took great care especially the laminated flooring and no food on 2nd floor STRICTLY.
  19. ya quite sad as it was the only flat that we did major overhaul (99% excluding staircase railings) and that's a great amount of $ to us. anyway, we have moved on and new place is less than 2 bus stops away so its still Hougang. Ha, its Hougang all the way for me and I do wonder whether I'll have a chance to move away from Hougang which I doubt so. Anyway, we like our new place with 4 bedrooms. The boz are happy without the staircase as everything is within 1 floor and they are happy with sleeping on beds same like me and hubby. Its been ages since we last owned a bed. My girl was still looking for the staircases when we first moved in

    Key Cabinet

we bought a magnetic notice board from Ikea, which is about the size of a drawing board. Had it mounted on the kitchen wall and bought a $2 magnet row with hooks from Toyogo and used it to hang all keys. The extra space we used it to stick memo and bills.
  21. my mum does cooking everyday and we have been using Rinnai glass hob for past few years. We just shifted to new place and I still get back the same glass hob from Rinnai which is the only model made in Japan. The inner flame burner makes cooking time shorter & faster, uses less gas and best is the cleaning part is so easy.
  22. ur wife? taking folic acid? still early as u just started trying this year. Just remember not to be stressed about the whole thing. God would announce good news soon
