  1. kronotex also got another range that's made from China (for those budget constraint). Its known as KLF. So, must be extra careful that your ID/contractor dun short change u on that. There are some ID/contractor out there who substitute the suppored made in Germany Kronotex with those made in China. Just ensure that u choose those made in Germany range, pay the $ for it and dun get those cheaper range from China.
  2. install over tiles? I boh lui to re-do reno but if strike one big one in TOTO, then I'll definitely consider either to re-renovate my EM or move to another EA but the EA must be those older flats which is bigger in terms of sqm So now, can only dream n build castles in the air
  3. i did laminates for staircase n bedrooms. Didnt do parquet as during that time, didnt calculate properly and also scare that parquet easily scratch. But thereafter then realised that parquet more value and lasting look. In fact, my 2nd contractor said the amount i spend for my kronotex AC5 can do burmese wooden flooring liao. Haiz
  4. yalor, wait long long but just dunno y all of them have the same cabinets.
  5. oh dear, I'm afraid u cant turn back the clock cos the blue bottle detergent is very strong. Btw, just for your info, I thought homo tiles cannot be polish but I've heard of ppl getting their contractor to polish it to make it shine again. Wonder how true is it
  6. oh, cos i saw some neighbouring units also had the same cabinets.
  7. wow, still got bathtub. U keeping it or removing it? wall tiles at balcony got mountain, water n tree somemore but overall the condition of the house not too bad leh. pink ceramic tiles? Hmmm.... really ah lian hor. So u hacking the tiles?
  8. ya, the condition is so much better. The ones left behind by my seller can really make u puke hey, is it true that such cabinets are done up by HDB 20 yrs ago? My seller had this and some of the neighbouring units still with 1st owner also had the same cabinets.
  9. glass railing very ex. I think prettibride did it but i think she no longer active in renotalk. I kept my original railings from HDB. some design ideas
  10. hey u managed to upload the pic liao. Not too bad la. The tiles looks ok so u can just change the doors to brighten up the grey tiles and re-do the internal shelvings. Just need to do new top cabinets.
  11. can i know how much u bought your dining table n chairs? Possible to give me the dimension cos my mum interested to get a marble top dining table? Thanks in advance.
  12. hmmm...if its made of tiles and finished with wooden cabinets then u might wanna consider keeping the tiles and just re-do the cabinet doors and internal wooden shelvings if the tiles are still good. I did the tiles with cabinets for stove and sink area for my old house. Really save alot. thanks. Its galvanised wrought iron...err dunno how much liao. Whole house grilles done up with wrought iron cos I super kiasi as staying in corridor unit. More ex than normal grilles.
  13. we got many IT experts here. I used to upload using imageshack but now using photobucket which is so much easier. This is how easy it goes for photobucket.
  14. ok, look forward to seeing your red silver kitchen. The featured wall was my hubby's idea. Mother Mary statue also bought by him as he had a 'calling' one day and suddenly just drove to Novena and bought it. I'm attending Nativity which is just opposite my place. Very near to the church right? But not direct facing. Our balcony is facing the church open field.
  15. What's the colour of the kitchen tiles? I think the chemicals wld be able to wash off the dirt and it'll really save u alot. Is the tiles done all the way or only half the wall? Cant really advise u on the kitchen cabinets but if its for me, I'll hack it away and do up new ones cos I dun really wanna take over others' kitchen cabinets. If u intend to do top and bottom then I think can budget around 3k (+ or -) depending on the length as well as the material u using. Dare not reveal the cost of my TAKARA kitchen (Enamel) over here otherwise many wld fall off the chairs The cabinets is very durable and can get the agent to shift to new house even if we intend to move next time which I did for my old house. here's a pic of my old house cabinets as for balcony tiles....my seller's balcony wall tiles also got hairline cracks and we hacked it away. Its already closed to 20yrs so we do up new wall tiles.
  16. cant wait to see your chilli (red) kitchen. U're Catholic too? This is my featured wall, near to the staircase.
