Bekind, where's yr EM? Initially, we wanted to have the altar nr to e staircase either facing balcony or side facing balcony cos we wanted to seal up e void area at staircase for safety reasons but eventually dropped the idea. Then,fsm said ok to hv the altar nr staircase facing dining table so we built a featured wall with tiles & got contractor to install 2 simple shelves. Anyway,aft some bad experience wif 2 fsm,we quit & trust ourselves now & continue to pray to Mother Mary for her blessings. we Believe in ourselves now POsting this on my E61 at KKH now

Hougang Ave 8 or Central as u paid 80K COV. Why not keep the marble flooring cos they can polish the marbles even though there's cracks. Wasted to hack away marble flooring. This is my corridor windows ....tinted so totally cannot see through so I also save $ on having the need to install curtains. Anyway, I seldom open the windows cos the wind flow is very strong from my balcony as well as my main door. We usually only open either one or two panels of the windows during weekends to invite 4D luck...hahahaha.

ya, levy wld come into the pic once u apply for a new flat from HDB. for instance, here's the scenario - 1st resale flat, took grant & eligible for HDB housing loan 2nd resale flat, no more grant but still eligible for HDB housing loan if u're upgrading Years later, u might decide to apply for a new flat from HDB, then u need to pay the Cash Levy from that 1st resale flat u sold PLUS the interest accummulated from the year u sold your 1st flat to the year u apply for the new flat 1st flat from HDB (already subsidised rate) & eligible for HDB housing loan 2nd flat, a resale but still eligible for HDB housing loan if u're upgrading 1st flat from HDB (already subsidised rate) & eligible for HDB housing loan 2nd flat also from HDB flat & eligible for HDB housing loan if its bigger flat BUT U NEED TO PAY CASH LEVY AFTER U SELL OFF YOUR FIRST FLAT

the bulk of reno damage comes from wall tiles of kitchen and toilets. Carpentry is also another huge culprit. If u merely doing overhaul, i.e wall and floor tiles, painting, kitchen cabinets then sure can cut down. For instance, a custom made shoe rack can easily add into your reno cost by between $450-900+- depending on length whereas a off the shelve shoe rack can easily cost a mere $50 to $500+-. The same goes to feature TV wall and TV cabinet for your LCD/plasma. Don't forget u also need to budget for your furnishing unless u can get those FOC from relatives. If u're like me, everything gotta change from wall to floor tiles, to windows to grilles, all bedroom doors to main door, expensive kitchen cabinets then boh pian. I eating grass now. Very siong!

ya, some Bishan EM have those open-concept gardens. i.e the so called squarish balcony whereby its accessible via living room as well as kitchen. U can sun tan as well as sit in the rain type.
