  2. IC. U're also not eligible due to the 8k ceiling?
  3. oh, didnt know abt that too. How abt u? Did u apply HLE via HDB first? how come your colleague not eligible for HDB 2.6%? taken twice concessionary loan?
  4. can? i login to hdb website but it indicated that only those who are entited to concessionary loan can apply
  5. hahaha.....no la.... anyway, thanks. Can still apply HLE to test test water even if not eligible?
  6. oops, was ok this afternoon when i pm u. Anyway, I cleared my mailbox liao...waiting for your pm
  7. Hi chronograph, just send you a pm....
  8. ya, I also agree with u. No privacy at all....I would feel weird with 'strangers' around that's y I also didnt get confinement lady when I gave birth cos the confinement lady gotta stay in for 1 month. One month I also cant tahan....heeeeee.................
  9. so u havent got your 1st appt date? y not check the status of your resale application online?
  10. nice plan view u have for the MBR..think the contractor pretty pro on that. No need 3D. Do u have plan views for the bathrooms and kitchen?
  11. Hi all kakis, for those who had taken bank loan, how to go about getting the HLE? How does it work?
  12. maybe its just a coincident that they ended up with marriage problems and people link it to the 2 MBRs.
  13. hmmm....ever heard of it but dunno how true. I remembered my aunt told me years ago that her neighbour, a young couple did just that for their newly bought EM. They done up the EM with 2 MBRs upstairs to accommodate for the parents who stayed with them. Within a year, endless troubles with the marriage and the girl moved back to her parents place. Dunno what happened in the end but I think later they sold off the flat.
  14. ya, i'm aware of the website but not much postings
  15. ya, reasonable. Think generally less than $500 for WI gate. Btw, u can come up with your own designs for the WI gate or mix-n-match/combine 2 designs from the designs shown in the catalogue (i.e have a few more fishes on the gate or remove the fishes from the gate, etc) some ideas over here http://www.panggiap88.com.sg/wi_doorgates.html http://www.goodhill.com/2005/door_irongates_catalog.php http://www.metalfoundry.com.sg/cms/appn_pa...p?catType=Doors http://www.metalspecialist.com.sg/iron_gallery-gates03.htm colour codes over here http://www.metalspecialist.com.sg/iron%20g...-colorchart.htm http://www.linkmetalgate.com.sg/ http://www.goodhill.com/2005/door_irongates.php happy viewing....
  16. one of the unit in my block also got the same colour for their WI gate. It was originally in yellow/golden when they bought over from the seller. I saw the contractor use cans of spraypaints to make it black/silver. Effect very nice and makes it look like brand new!
  17. u definitely have enough room to even put a threadmill inside the room....hahaha....where would your wardrobe be? Near to the staircase wall?
  18. sorry to post this here but anyone can recommend a good property listing website (preferably one that's frequented & used by agents and with high hits). Thanks.
  19. yalor, sentimental stuff must keep for memory. I still have my primary school autograph book . Cannot bear to throw it away. I fully agree with u. Our MBR is really big even after having a WIW. Those who didnt built a WIW lagi big...can even put mahjong table and have mahjong session. Those opting for victorian theme can put a table, two chairs and a lamp at the corner for some cosy feel.
  20. yalor, very basic reno would involve changing the WC and sink too. U can move the sink everywhere, even outside the toilet as long as your plumber do the drainage pipes properly.
  21. haiz....women all the same right? Hee......memories for this and that so cant bear to throw
  22. ya, hopefully its still available. Good luck packing is stressful....unpacking is lagi stressful. All of u so lucky, I had more or less done with my reno the other time then stumbled upon this forum....so had to spent $ buying boxes from Shalom movers. only when we wanna move then we realised got plenty of 'rubbish' at home right? In fact, we were still not done with the packing on the actual day and I asked my hubby to take over and just throw whatever he deem ok....because no heartpain for me if I'm not around to see him throwing away the stuff like books, toys, etc
  23. one of the company is faithcoat right? Initially I also quite impressed with the effects and thought of doing it to my toilet in future if I have the $$. If u intend to stay for long, better hack and retile as I heard it doesnt last though the flyers stated it can last up to 7 years.
  24. quickly grab from here http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=16677
