  1. This should silent all the critiques: http://www.squarefoot.com.sg/market-watch/shoebox-rental
  2. Any good brands that is highly recommended? Sun-X? Vkool? Huper Optik? 3M? I kind of like Huper Optik, but dont know the pricing. anyone got good deal to recommend? Thanks!
  3. Am staying in one now. Personally I dont quite like gardening, thats why i choose a penthouse with no open roof terrace. so i have 2 bedrooms on top instead. yes, privacy is great as no one above u jumping up and down.
  4. Looking at the above comments, it seems getting a Penthouse unit in a no-facilities (except carpark & lifts) condo would be a good compromise.
  5. the super big pipes in toilet can be changed? if i'm not wrong it is linked to the whole building, all the sh**, water will go down that pipe. how to change?
  6. Thanks! i supposed when they change door, they will change the hinges too, that's why not cheap.
  7. Personally I think now is a good time to look at older condo/apt units that has actual plot ratio of less than 1.0 (meaning each unit you purchase, e.g. a 1000sqft unit, your ownership of physical land is at least 1000sqft and above). As these units are usually older (at least 10 yrs old), and most are fully paid, it takes time like this to entice owners to sell to realise their gain. long term investment wise, this would be attractive as it is a fact that land (freehold somemore) is scarce esp near MRT. i am finalisng on a gated walkup apt with swimming pool. entitled ownership of the land is 1300sqft and minutes walk to kembangan mrt. without considering the building, just that piece of raw land ownership value, how much would you pay? freehold and 1.4 plot ratio. my purchase price, based on the physical land, is about $400psf per plot ratio. the built-in space apartment which could yield rent is an added bonus. just offering another perspective.
  8. Thanks! any idea how much it would cost? should approach cabinet professionals or any contractor will do? thanks!
  9. Bought a resale apt, as the kitchen cabinet design abit dated, was thinking if possible to just change the face? it is granite top, so wouldbe a waste to replace everything, also inside the cabinent, condition is fine too. wonder if it is possible and will it be much cheaper? Thanks!
  10. Bought a completed unit from the resale market and not sure where to get the floorplan to bring around to ID firms. Can any kind soul advise pls? thanks!
  11. Just like medicine in different ward of hospital cost differently. the same panadol in ward A is more expensive than the same panadol in ward C. Why not u ask for quotation for a 4 room flat, it will be much cheaper. when more or less confirm tell them its a condo.
  12. ahbeng driving volvo vs ah beng driving geely, the chances of survival in accident is greater for volvo.
  13. I repost this from another thread, hope professional could give insights, thanks! Hi friends, Just viewed an old 2 storey terrace house with attic newly installed. roof height remains the same. Just that the attic floor(slab) is wood instead of concrete. so when you walk about, can hear 'bom bom bom' sound. The roof structure is wood (timber i think). the owner says did not get bca approval as no extension or raising of roof. therefore, my question is, how safe is this attic? What is the maximum load it can carry? without BCA approval, who is there to ensure safety level is met, will the floor collapse towards the second storey? Is this norm? Thanks!
