OK, i've found answer and tried on trial basis and got it. Got myself, selly nail replacement glue and the fill all gaps to finish off the gap part.

My skirting of my laminate flooring came off... anyone knows how to fix it back? Like do i need to put glue inside then put those sealant? and which type? saw a few types of sealant in homefix. Thanks

More than 6 months into living, minor faults found after 3-4 months and she still respond to it and ask Contractor to come down to fix it. Like... lightning, False ceiling, walls (pitholes formed after a while) The one came told me it's maybe age / weather / poor worksmanship. Anyway it's quite minor, he patch it up and there's no more. I dun really expect zero defect so still acceptable to me. I'll be posting the pic after 7 months

Just checking with you guys if this is noral after 2 months of renovation. My old wall is rockstone type, so i plaster it and repaint it. 2 months later for no reason some dents and droplets like marks appear on the wall, at 1st i thought i knock something against it but later i found such marks at high area as well. Also some area are so obvious i could not have spotted it when i took over the house. Also some area seems blotted out Not sure if it's due to old house (about 25 years) that such thing cannot be avoided? or it's due to poor worksmanship when plastering/ painting(unlikely painting can cause this)?

Plan to get a sounbar as my thoughts are anything, even the $300+ Samsung one should produce much better sound than what the TV can give. However, i do not see any shop demo soundbar of such range so not sure if it's worth it to purchase. Anyone bought and regret or highly recommend certain brands, my budget is less than 1K?

Yes i believe you can though we've never asked ID about it. I've also seen 1 forumer hacking that wall away (need to search for it). His Master bedroom become real big for him and his wife, real beauty. He built the wardrobe beside the bathroom with bed on the other side.

Electrical worksmanship : 9 (Great guy, knows his job friendly and able to make good decisions for you but minor flaw for wrong positioning but no issue as it can be redone later) Overall good ID and company that can be trusted. Isn't the best out there I'm sure there's better ones but you can be almost worry free of mess up here and there and keep calling up ID without answer, halfway no do job linger for a week etc. My main concern when engaging is on time and worksmanship which they can deliver, ID super creative ideas, Super low price, etc are secondary hence my good review. Some of you might want areas of interest of your own. Please note all these are due to my own personnel experience when engaging this company. Do not throw shoe at me if your experience turns out otherwise. LOL.

I got mine at Geylang area but i saw it selling at Sim Siang Choon over at IMM as well. Price similar. Later on we actually explore idead from Ikea on those pullout type which looks fantastic as well with bigger volume but too late.

Dear all, FINALLY Finally and on time, i've finished renovation for my house and I'm very satisfied how it turned out. SO here are all the before and after pics. ENJOY With these i'll probably be ending this update maybe in future when things like painting, coffee table, rug, ornaments etc has arrived. Hope those who are watching these can get some ideas from it or at least know how it looks like for concepts like different material for living/dining etc. SO tired from house moving... ending and signing off

Ceiling fans yeah,,, do not actually provide good wind to you unless you're under the fan, it's more for circulation. ON a hot day, still crawl back to bedroom to switch on a/c. My suggestion is ceiling fan still and get another nice tower fan. I'd go for Option 1. Mainly it's cheaper. The most practical is wall fans.. Ugly but serves it's purpose best.

Mine is a small scale house moving just 2 blocks away from where i stay (parent's house) However, considering the furniture like bed, cupboard (not wardrobe) and plenty of stuffs, i figure it's not possible for myself and wife to handle. We need a reliable house moving company to assist us with it. We've no van, no big trolleys, no strength lol. Anyone has done such small scale moving and found them good can recommend us? I dun even think we need a lorry, even a van i think 2 trips may do (it's sooo near) SHifting around 25,26 Nov.

Laundry System Renovation is near ending. This is the new laundry system we've installed in our kitchen. We've gone over a few type and finally decided on this type. Well, it's cheaper and most importantly, there's a piece in the centre for us to hang our clothes using hanger instead of most types we've seen where they uses all 5 poles. We bought from KS. Cost around $400+ compared to those hydraulic type which cost almost 800. View of it hanging View of it extending out View of the design. it's a simple pull up and down design and note of centre piece where there's holes for the hanger.

Hard to determine cost for kitchen as it's broken up to pieces all over the quotation. Electrical works around 4k. I'm doing re-wiring for whole unit though, changing even the DB box etc and having lots of sockets (like 8-10 in a room) with 20 downlights in living and dining area. For 4K i'd say it's not a cheap price, but it's not too expensive as well i think, considering it's recommended by my ID and so far, doing a decent job. For kitchen, 1 ft of cabinet cost around $140. Floor Tiling 1800 Wall tiling 3900 Hacking, plumbing etc.. i didn't include. too messy. Out kitchen quite big so wall tiles amount a bit 'siong' s i mentioned before, beware with quotation which wall tiles seems cheaper etc, they may not tile up area behind your cabinet, saying, it's hidden etc, no use to put when asked. It's not good for long term when moist etc comes it.

Been asking and it seems no one has contact in singapore for alumimium frame with arcylic panel in centre. I loved these type as well for sliding. end up using open concept.

Does anyone of you install these? as the laundry system actually makes closing of window grilles not possible, anyone has good design of such grilles. I've asked my contractor and he says no. Either you leaves grilles open when you put out laundry or u dun install such grilles.

Remember to make them include " no hidden cost" and ask about gst.

SOme bad experience i've yesterday so might want to note and confirmed with your ID before commiting. WHen i presented my accessories yesterday, the carpenter says due to addtional wood worksmanship etc, he need additional top up. In my mind i was like wtf, if i've some screws and things i can easily install myself, it is an easy job. It's a minor modification. Then i realised this contractor quite money minded, everything a bit out of norm he wants top up one. Fearing things do not turn out well i agreed to the minor top up of around 100. ID didn't say anything. Well, i guess it all depends, SInce he's so calculating i guess i'l be more professional during inspecting when he'd finished his job. Best to have it pen down in contract etc in black and white.

End of Week 4 - Carpentry Meeting Carpentry meeting today, most of the works has been done, plumbing, painting, tiling, wood floor laminate, L-box, ceiling, wiring. Some hiccup, some error in tiling and planning, resulting in our original plan in color co-ordination cannot be done or it'll have some tiny flaw. Debating a lot whether to fix the issue, make do with issue, patch the issue etc. Finally decided to change the color to match the flaw, doesn't turn out too bad either. (i hope). Carpentry works - Kitchen cabinets - Feature wall - MBR Wardrobe - MBR toilet vanity - Dining shoe cabinet Overall today quite a minor minus point here due to the hiccup in designing and planning. I think it could be done better. However, the best was made out of it. Dining room Living room Kitchen Installation will be completed in another 2 weeks or so. Will update again when carpentry up.

Really in a rush that time and didn't browse through the forum. Was a victim of this poor company. In the expo, didn't really find them helpful already but was lazy to run around, so just ask for quotation, looks ok and sign on 1 door, 7 window panes and whole house of window grilles. Mistake... 1) Poor worksmanship, so far only did main door and window. The window lock is out of alignment one, took some effort to close and is like can almost on the breaking point, but currently we're too fed up to ask ask them. One of the side got damage during installation and we called them up, they ask for picture, we sent, end up nothing done also. Call them always say never received. 2) Not on time.. Scheduled timing always didn't appear or appear leow never ask properly went away. C'mon it's a new flat, we already told them to call us before coming down so that we can discuss when taking measurement. They come , got problem, then went back... the next day when we called them they claims, no one was there and they tried calling us but we never picked up. DElayed.... 3) Scheduld time of installation also never appear, call them up never picked up. 4) Poor customer service . My wife called them as it delayed our renovation process. it was replied.. why wait for our door, you pay so much for renovation already why so stingy ask them saw off the old main door 1st lah. We are like wtf. Why should we pay for service we dun need if your door can deliver on time. Blood boiling.
