when is the choosing of flats for Oct sale?... can't see much movement ...

soon, don't be offended i guess u must understand how or land arrangements have been working.since 1965 , when our ancestors pledged themselves to this country, they find a place to live.. ethnic communities stay together within themselves... which was called kampung.. thats when our government decided to demolished all the kampung for HDB... less land more higher building.. all live together... this decision was mad by the Govt. we have no choice but to abide by the laws. those times hdb introduced or forced the citizens in Singapore to buy or stay in hdb. thats when my near ancestors bought those $40,000 a unit or $25,000 units .those times units were cheap cos pay was low... now we have no choice... foreigners barging in Singapore everyday in custom... Philippines India china Indonesia and almost all countries representatives are residing in Singapore.thats for sure. currently we have no choice except to just "Go with the Flow" currently the no of original Singaporeans in Singapore are becoming extinct. this is the only nation in the world that accommodates a foreigner than their originals... that is why all people from all nation love Singapore and wanted to be in Singapore. as u say ...u live in bishan for locals is difficult... central area..Cov wld be very high but not for those Expats in Singapore..back in their hometown they own a land ...they cld afford it...how ? very simple..sell those land and buy it here... they can afford it... but we can't.. do u know recently if i am not mistaken... last year those clementi areas where houses sold for $500,00 ad not many bought those houses... my friend who is a Singaporean Chinese was offered the unit even though his queue no was kinda bad but he was called up for an appt because his pay was just closet under 8k where hdb belief that he cld grab this house...he wanted a 5 room unit in sengkang but what they offered was clementi..he took it with no choice... so i belief ,its time for us to fear the Expats than who have the more financial power to do anything in Singapore than the originals of Singapore...

i feel Resale is best for us... just save money till u stay in parents home. then get yourself a resale house of ur own choice... don't worry everyone wld get a home of their own one fine day... anyway good luck to u ....

i guess ur doing a major mistake here. i wld rather be u than me... for ur info...if u look at all groups - for example : total flats available : 40 Chinese : 40 Malay : 20 Indian/others - 7 so friend tell me now which one wld u prefer ? Chinese are the most populated race in Singapore. but be fair,most of them are locals who gets the unit. Malays are also another race that have the 2nd most population in Singapore. but no choice... birth rate is such... have to adjust and go... but if u look at Indians ,we are competing with the race called OTHERS and foreigners from India who get themselves a citizenship here which i feel is not fair at all... how cld they join a category called others in Indians when the units offered is so less... friend just cool it... certain things in life can't be changed.. even how much we try.. this is my countless tries in half year sales quarterly sales Sept balloting and may others with all failures in return ... i think i better go to hospital and change my birth name to tan ah soon...

ok cool it... now everything is beyond our hands... so no choice ..since we live in a land of foreigners.we have to adjust them .instead of them adjusting us.if the head is good.. then everything wld be fine...since the head is bad... no choice must keep quiet.

actually my baby plan was put on hold ..as i wanted to get a unit then later have a child.. but as age catches up... we decided that its time we shd have 1 as we feel we need a meaning to our lives... so there comes my baby in a few mths time...

yeah true must tough it out for the next few mths... what i suffer ... shd be within me... not reach out to my wife or my coming baby... thats why i am working it out for a unit asap... at least let the newborn gets his freedom of life ....

true.... no choice.once i get my unit.i don't intend to do Reno.wld do it when i have the cash.no bank loan for renovation.i don't like taking loan ...then in the end ...debt to follow... every mth will buy something for home... when i get unit just paint by myself... get a normal furniture... buy a fridge.. buy a bed first... thats all... TV will follow the following mth...then washing machine the next mth... then sofa ... continues... poor man like me.. musty really work hard for everything..

i guess ur pay shd be high.... my pay is not that high...i doubt they wld give 350 k as loan... no chance at all... most probably they wld give abt 190 k as loan +mcps grant of 40k shd be able to get me a unit... dad i am not sure he wld help.. doubts over there.... he is living on his cpf retirement as his lone survival. wld be unfair for me to ask... so no choice must save till feb ... then start looking for a unit...

why didn't u get a hdb loan ? no need to pay 5% cash down payment. why u take bank loan ? is this ur first house ?

spouse not working.... never worked as in a company but did business .. ... but that was 5 yrs back.. now she is a housewife.no cpf contribution from her. cpf comes only from me...

currently residing with dad... thought of getting a unit b4 i become a dad.. but looks likely it really can't be...actually can i know... how much is ur COV ? what is ur experiences in finding a unit in woodlands...as i wld be getting in woodlands too... is it too demanding ? or the unit is too expensive ?

my current HLE is not enough for me o buy a flat right now..so have to wait till end Feb for OTP to be done...hope i cld appeal for an early 1st appt ,then hope that the seller vacant his flat earlier.

any property websites to look through... since i plan to use mcps grant of 40k ..it wld be near my dad's place which is either admiralty or woodlands. kinda sad... wld be definitely signing the OTP this Feb end... then after that i am not sure when my first appt wld be... then 2nd appt don't know when... life is becoming a misery for me...

currently the next 1st appointment is march 2010. thats why i thought of looking for a flat now... then do Hle later cos Feb i wld be getting pay rise and promotion so that my loan wld be higher thats why i thought book 1st appointment first then just before the appointment do the HLE. is it confirm that i can't book 1st appointment without HLE ?

hi can u clear my doubt ? 1.decide on a unit... i sign option to purchase.lets say i sign on mid- Feb.2 2.End of Feb i would do my HLE. 3.must HLE be done so that agent cld Fix first appointment or without HLE the first appointment cld be fixed? 4.HLE could be done just before 1st appointment date . 5.check hdb website ,next earliest appointment is march ...so if i do my HLE end of Feb wld it be okie...? i would be happy if u cld clear my doubt. thanks alot ..... .

next plan is this... wld be saving abt 10k from now till Jan end... jan end wld start looking for a resale flat near dad house. too many flats on sale near dad's area.... so under mcps... wld get 40k grant. as my cpf is kinda low cos i am a lazy bum during my younger times... cpf less than 50k... so together with mcps wld be around 80k... wld be doing my HLE on Feb as promotion and pay increases... mid Feb wld confirm unit and book 1st appointment... 1st appointment wld be somewhere april or early may i guess... 2nd appt to be June end or July first week.. so till then save as much as possible .. need to pay agent fees,Cov then OTP fees... money need to be rolled... gonna be a dad coming may...so too much plans and need to work towards that... thats my plan for the time being... DEC...Jan...Feb...march ...april..may....June= hopefully by June wld settle everything...

same here... wanted a 4 room from balance unit... now since i am going for resale... wld have to digest myself with a 3 room unit.no choice..sian....is there any other sale except for bto coming soon ?

its not 255 ppl... there are 700 over ppl in front of me... i did check out the balance units... its in rubbish ... but what i need is just a shelter.. for me no matter how the unit is also ..i wld still grab... i am not choosy... for me only 19 units available ...mostly all repurchased units... i checked them out ... mostly in terrible condition...as usual... loansharks...could see alot of paint... but no point talking... unless a huge no of ppl reject the unit i do chance the chance... that is 700 of them...

total units = 19 my queue no= 735 out of 990 applicants. sickening.... that tells my story. what else to say... Resale i guess....

Time now is 4.30 pm still no result.... it was announced that end of Nov.. today is the end of the mth... so when will it be.... i am sure it is today.... but what time ? heart thumping moments... every moment keeping looking back at the hdb page for results... but all i get is disappointment.. no news yet....

4pm... oh yeah... i heard that too...

feeling tensed at work... but no choice.... whatever it is... have to accept...
