www.alphaconcepts.com.sg. This rubbish chute is suppose to be air-tight and cockroach proof. Anyone used it before? Is it really better than the regular $180 rubbish chute?

3 sets of Focus E2 shower set at $315 EACH right?
-
do they clean up everything very well, including the saw dust in the cabinets, cement dust from floor etc? the acid cleaning is not clean at all, from my personal experience.
-
yep, that's the same model package, but i was quoted $315 for one set. shop is called "Home & Bathroom" at Balestier. i don't need to have two sets since i only have one bathroom.

My Conclusion About Curtain Makers - Just Go For The Cheapest!
Honeygal replied to Newie-X's topic in Home Furnishings
i think can't go wrong with workmanship. it's just their selection of fabrics. -
Hansgrohe shower set + shower mixer + basin mixer = $315 (including gst). is this a good deal? is Hansgrohe overated? will other made-in-china shower accessories be just as good and reliable? any comments appreciated, as i have never invested in such high end bath accessories. Another Hansgrohe kitchen mixer going at $157. Reasonable? Can i get this even cheaper elsewhere? Thanks all!

hole size is dependent on size of your bucket. contractor will cut into the solid surface accordingly. i actually got this idea from BreadTalk.

Ho Bee
Honeygal replied to oasis's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
his prices are definitely on the medium to high side, but no hidden costs. every item is properly accounted for. and he is very reliable. i recently got another quote from a contractor who simply 'hantam' figures and quoted me up to 3x more than Patrick for many items. haulage $1000?? marble polish one living room $800?? hacking kitchen cabinet $800?? really out to rip me off. mine is not a bungalow! -
which market at toa payoh? i am sure we can locate her from there.

i gave my contractor a plastic garbage pail and asked him to cut a hole of that size and depth onto the counter top. very neat and cheap. i simply line the pail with plastic bag and in goes my garbage, completely concealed.

he quoted me $2400 for my little studio apartment......although i found it really steep, i couldn't bring myself to bargain with him as he seems such a trust worthy guy. hope i have not been fleeced.

Recommendations For Marble Floor Polishing
Honeygal replied to vinaip's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
my contractor is charging me $800 to polish marble flooring in my living room, which is a mere 25 sq metre area ! that's expensive right? -
thank you thank you for so kindly sharing the detailed recipe!! will definitely bake it once i get the new oven. my baking teacher used to recommend Baby Belling. i do not know in what way it is better than a regular oven, since it is rather small too. if you know, tell me! thanks for the oven tips too! will wait out for the Tangs sale.

Would you be able to share the recipe for the banana chocolate layered cake? THanks!
-
from your experience, how different are the results from the Tefal 26L and Delonghhi ovens? which would you recommend in terms of 'results'? does having the fan impact the quality of the cakes? i would go with your recommend coz just looking at your cakes, i now know i don't need a fancy $1k oven to get such beautiful cakes! thanks!!
-
if i were you, and since Mr Tong's solutions have proven to work well for you, i would just stick with him, rather than take a risk with another FSM. try not to 'play play test test'. the results can sometimes be disastrous.
-
You bake such amazing looking cakes i gotta know what oven you use! Let me know the brand and capacity please. Am planning to get one soon. Thanks!
-
when she audited my old place some 10 years ago, i found her knowledge very lacking. also can't really provide solutions and can't explain much. hopefully now after 10 years in the business she has improved?
-
what is the dimension? how much will you sell it for? how do you operate this? i can wait till mid June.
-
Pinkdot, gorgeous place you have, well done!! some questions: 1)i notice your kitchen lower cabinets are semi-hanging type, ie the back half touches the floor. since you did not build a floor platform, will the cabinett be damaged when you wash the floor? 2)for your kitchen sink & bathroom vanity top sink, did you use solid surface? 3)what is the type and name of your black kitchen sink? Thanks!
-
i like your common toilet wall tiles. what type are they? do you have model name?
-
i am open to having built-in and portable ovens, as long as the end results are consistently good. would appreciate any recommendations from fellow baking kakis. thank you.
-
pls advise what is a good (ie end result successful) oven for baking? am looking around for one, less than $550. from my experience, i find that the bigger capacity my oven, the better my pastries turn out. anyone tried baby belling before? the capacity is abit small though.

Ho Bee
Honeygal replied to oasis's topic in Renovation Contractors, Interior Designers & Suppliers Reviews
anyone here can recommend another contracter as good as Ho Bee, but cheaper? i am looking for one to reno my new place. i have used Ho Bee before. excellent workmanship (especially tiling), speedy and responsible. unfortunately, their pricing is steep and not easy to negotiate.
