haiz, for us go all the way to JB just for BS is too troublesome liao lor. although we've car and can drive all the way there but also sianz. no lah, you aren't kiasu lah b'cos me also the same as you! haha. we booked our AD venue 1+ year before our AD and PS will be half a year before our AD. i don't like last min things.

haha. i was still guessing your AD date at another thread. i guessed correctly liao! haha. it's good to book the AD venue first before you sign up with any BS so that you're sure that you've secured a AD venue liao. usually, choosing the AD venue (a lot of details to look out) is the most stressful part. whereas choosing the BS is still ok.

i see. so, your wedding will not be this year or early next year lor. i guess should be later part of next year. you haven't booked a hotel yet?

initially, we also having hard time opening the balcony door but my hb used his then can be opened liao.

ya lor, that's why i also confused liao. initially, i thought he held it at oriental but my hb told me it was at marina mandarin lah. meritus and marina mandarin are under the same but i'm unsure about oriental leh.

erm, i think all the levels balcony can be opened. that time, we stayed at 52nd and the balcony can be opened. we also visited the bridal suite at 66th and think can open too leh. only the restaurants and bar no balcony, full height windows only.

btw, swissotel the stamford rooms are all fully booked liao. no chance.

have you been to city space? over there, they've live music. the cashew nuts are nice too. usually, my hb and i will go there for a bottle of red wine and enjoy the views at the same time.

yup, agreed. my hb's brother had his AD at marina mandarin (sorry, that time i mentioned at oriental. remember wrongly! haha!) so we don't intend to do it at marina mandarin again. sianz.

frankly speaking, it's all depend on the guests you invite lor. some really good guests and they'll give a lot of $$$.

no balcony??? erm, all the rooms at swissotel the stamford have a balcony attached. we ever checked with them about this. btw, that time we checked with them about rooms availability on national day and we was told that all the rooms at swissotel are fully booked liao! raffles the plaza is also under swissotel the stamford and there're rooms available over there but the tallest is only 19th floor at raffles the plaza. i heard that raffles hotel is somehow connected to swissotel the stamford and raffles the plaza. long story... yup! we love swissotel restaurants and bars! the views are suuuuuuper! my hb had brought me there several times liao.

it was formely known as westin hotel. you're right too but the problem is ritz carlton isn't as tall as swissotel. we prefer staying at taller hotel so that you can see the panoramic views! from swissotel, you can even see indonesia and parts of Malaysia. haha.

frankly speaking, i'll not spend so much $$$ on photographs b'cos i find it's a waste of $$$ as the photo album will be kept aside and it'll be after a long time then probably i'll take out to see. i rather spend $$$ on honeymoon. haha. if you think that marriott is good then you can go ahead to book. what for bother about what other people think or comment?? don't tell me a colleague held her/his AD at marriott then the rest of the colleagues can't hold there liao?

it's better to sell away the flat before hdb announces to enbloc so that you can earn more $$$. usually, enbloc doesn't pay so much $$$.

erm, consider quite cheap liao. on normal days, it's more expensive. eg, the deluxe room rate on normal days is $500 plus and now is around $306 nett. we saw this promotion and immediately went to book! haha. but hor, no complimentary carpark hor b'cos the carpark is under the shopping mall. that day, we went to stay for 4 days and the cost of the carpark was about $70. btw, marina bay is surrounded by mostly 5 star hotels so the prices are about the same.

you can try swissotel the stamford. they offer special packages for NDP preview and on actual NDP. see the link i attached. http://www.swissotel.com/singapore-stamfor...offers/home.htm recently, my hb and i just spent our weekends at swissotel the stamford b'cos they offer some hot deals on the room rates and it's much cheaper than usual. as swissotel the stamford is very tall (unblocked views) therefore you can see the NDP at marina bay very clearly! we ever stayed facing the harbour and city views. FANTASTIC VIEWS!

ya lor, not worth lor. but for people who drive company's van during working hrs and only need car on weekends then OPC will be good for them. this is why my hb's colleague bought an OPC. !!

"en ai" then !! ! haha. yup, holiday inn atrium isn't quite accessible b'cos at outram road. the nearest mrt will be at outram liao so still got to walk or take a bus to reach there. !! ya, both holiday inn atrium and holiday inn parkview are 4 star hotels.

wow, that's you and your hb "en ai" photo huh. holiday inn atrium is at outram road lor. you don't mix up with the hoilday inn parkview at orchard. yesterday, my hb and i walked past this peony jade restaurant b'cos we were hunting for our dinner around that areas. haha. my neighbour's son just had his wedding at peony jade too. my mum said that the food is not bad.

that's the problem. my hb doesn't go to office that early and he also doesn't leave late. normal working office hrs. i heard that on sat only can drive after 3pm.
