Hmm thats what i also thought..... but already burst budget big time liao.... Now is work in progress....Thats why now that i chanced upon this blog which is so wonderful with you all people around, sharing so much valuable experiences etc... i am regreting hahaha... should have work even harder so i can meet this site earlier to save myself from lots of lessons and hardwork.... For my place... a very original unit, i have to destroy almost everytin ... sigh.... My main contractor in particular, i feel rip off.... Just feel not they are not that honest. somemore i have to get my own other contractors for things like window when he quote me 6K for the entire place so in the end i got my own n spend about $4K... Likewise for painting etc.... So any Em owners there like Virgo, Jessie etc... can i visit your unit to kpo n learn?? kekeke

Hi All, Yupe shifting again... bought a resale EM & now is going thru the works.... The 5i was about 8 years back(110sq/m) while the pictures were taken a few months after I shifted in. Quite small overall considering a 5rm but with total 4 rooms! The pics are quite bare showing little in furnishing still at that time. I feel the pics/ place was then still quite "cold" and hard in terms of the feel still it was quite raw look. Plus at that time, without my 2 precious "monsters", things was a lot different in furnishing considerations. But luckily I manage to upkeep almost the same condition except with more new fitting & carpentary additions after i shift in along that 7-8 years. Cost me about S$40K then for the reno as I wanted the location opp the MRT so with the althought with e unit being an design & Build, i torn down few walls, Hack all the flooring, redoing the tiles into marbles and had a almost black Parquet flooring for the 3 rooms flooring etc. did a false ceiling thru out. Furnitures are copied that time back and fabricated by my own contacts. Thanks for your comments.

Hi Virgo... Just got an EM too but slightly different Config from yours i realise after following your thread ... Can u advise or PM in private (if sensitive) how much is ur total renovation cost jus for my reference n guide? Appreciate that even if its ball park figures... I am doing all by myself from space planning to id n all e plans/ drawing.... Hope to learn sometin as well as share if i can contribute... Thanks a lot.. Byron
