Hi, just want to check how you guys check that the builders you appoint are financially sound? Even if you get their financial statements, you cannot tell how many jobs they currently are doing. Especially during these C-19 times, there could be delays in the construction eg due to manpower and hence the risk to your project stretches longer. Is there insurance for protection against the builders going bankrupt?

I googled but can’t seem to find many options. Saw the endless one and checked out the astral website. Also saw a SwimEx one but not sure if it is spa or for Swimming. Astral one seems to be not a add-on. There are not many reviews for these things.... how long have you had your astral one and what’s the warranty period?

Hi pete, is yours built-in or can it just be added onto an existing pool. Also, does it allow you to do breaststroke comfortably ... i read these machines blow bubbles straight into your face and may not be good for breaststroke.

Hi, I have a small pool about 5x5 m. To make the pool more useful, I was wondering if I should enlarge it (now that I’m doing reconstruction) or get a counter current system. If I extend, I can only do it along the boundary wall (which is 1.8 m wide) so that the longest stretch of the pool will be 10 m. Not so familiar with counter current systems. Any one has any experience with it? Reliable?

Guys, do you connect your CCTVs to some kind of alarm? or just pure surveillance? I dont intend to get an ongoing security company subscription and am looking at alternatives.

Thanks Snoozee. Btw, instead of installing a ceiling fan, what if I just rely on the fan function of my air con unit. Ie. switch off the air con function and just use fan function. Do you think that is feasible?

Hi If I intend to replace the aircon units during the reconstruction of my house, can I sell them away? Anyone done this beforehand? Or you just leave it to the Builders to take away?

What kind of defects should we look out for in a project like that?

Are there companies who help to set up these server racks for LAN points, wifi and CCTVs? Suspect i will need help.... How much do they charge? Any recommendations?

If i have a room (on the top floor) with 5 metre height to the underside of the roof and just want to add a loft, can i just call these loft builders such as Mezzaninessingapore to construct or do i need regulatory approvals?

Why didn’t you just use cordless phones with additional handsets? I’m thinking of just doing that with one handset per floor. Would that suffice?

Is there anything special about a server rack? compared to any shelf? Eg. cooling fan. just wondering if I can simply put the switch etc into an existing cabinet without getting a rack.

Also, roughly how much space does your server rack occupy. Would like to see if I can fit something like this into one of my cabinets.

Sounds complex. Is there any system/ brand I should look into for such a set up? In the first place, it is possible to have digital lock in a people gate that is cut out from the main gate?

I Will likely get a trackless bifold gate with integrated people gate. If I want to be able to let someone enter remotely (when I’m not at home), is it possible? What digital lock do I need?

Was told that marble gum can be used for the gaps between the homogeneous tiles so the gaps can hardly been seen. Anyone seen that before? Would tiles be more like to pop in a landed house ground floor? Many condos use tiles and I think are ok?

Still planning but intending to do a recon. How can I find out the actual water table measurement?

I have been told my place has a high water table. So I’m thinking of alternatives to marble for the first floor since marble is more porous... I’m considering those tiles that look like marble but are not. Think they are just homogeneous tiles... that should deal with the high water table issue, I hope. For my patio and car park porch, I was considering the grey tiles in the photo of the car porch above. But with a high water table, I don’t know... any suggestions?
