  1. Will this piece itself create a mark on the decking from your experience?
  2. What do you mean ... the chengal wood even without the flower pots (for eg, the rest of the balcony) will stain? Is it discolouration due to sunlight?
  3. Hi Does any one place flower pots directly on their wooden decking of their balcony? Does the rain/ soil/ dirt cause stains on the wooden decking? How do I prevent that? Any ideas?
  4. I'm looking for a rack system to install in my household shelter. Can across some in Ikea over the weekend. There are wooden ones and metallic ones. Any one has them? Are they durable? I have heard about Ikea products being not durable and am concerned. Where as can I get rack systems from?
  5. Don't you need a player?
  6. laminates are not waterproof?
  7. I have heard people say that laminates for bay windows can look really nice, especially since there are so many types, even leather lookalikes! Yet some people say laminates cannot withstand the sun, so should not be placed on bay windows... any truth to this? Anyone have laminates on their bay window?
  8. I have living/ dining room which is about 6m x 4.5m. Yet it has 2 air con units which i feel is overkill for the small space. Do you think it save more electricity if i just switch one on, or that will be worse than switching both on, or no diff?
  9. thanks. is it also called comex? i know earlier in the year there is one called IT fair...
  10. There's a Comex fair coming in Sep. Does anyone know if there is usually an IT fair in Dec too? Thought there would be one every few months...
  11. hi david my ID is also scouting for me but i guess i would also like to take a look at some samples. Where can i take a look?
  12. I have the same problem with afternoon sun. Why is laminate out though? My ID suggested laminate.
  13. Hmm, look like if I was something to reduce heat, it will be reflective? Sigh... isn't there something that can reduce heat and yet be approved by condo? I also have afternoon sun issues.
  14. Hi I have a small service balcony in my yard/ kitchen area, which has a planter. Trying to find a cheap way to cover up the planter ... what do you guys suggest? Dun intend to deck it since it is too small to be enjoyed ...
  15. for some reason, psb is not widely used in singapore? i think the one you saw is probably the entry level one. same with the jamo. I'm not sure how good these entry levels are? perhaps can consider a higher end bookshelf speaker?
  16. Thanks. What do you mean by final connections? What are not-so-final connections? I'm so clueless i don;t even know what cables/ wires are required... i guess i will need winson's help. Steamrz, if i engage KEC, must i buy the equipment from them or they can just do installation on its own. Just concerned about their pricing of their equipment...
  17. I'm doing the ID for the new place soon and about to buy my hi fi equipment. Unfortunately, I'm not good with wires. Would the electrician engaged by my ID be able to help with hooking up my hi fi system or should i get the hi fi shop to install?
  18. Thanks a lot! Can these be purchased in Singapore? Any idea where?
  19. i know. that's why i would only do it if i can find some "smokeless" bbq set ...
  20. they do but its more cosy to do in upstairs ... is it against the fire regulations or something?
  21. i googled and found wireless speakers sold (like through Amazon) but not really sure about sound quality..
  22. Hi Looking to buy a washer/dryer (1st time using combined) and have shortlisted these two models (LG WD14331AD & Electrolux EWW 1292)? Which is a better machine? The EWW 1292 is pricier I believe but it is Italian-branded (vs Korean...). I have some concerns about washer/dryers: - is it true that the drying time periods can be very long and the clothes would still be damp? - would i be able to operate the washing function and drying function independently? for eg. if i just want to dry some wet cloth ... can i just start the dryer without having to wash the cloth with the washing function first?
