Hi belle, There are lots of filters in the market to choose from, as you mentioned the brand and independent testings are important. NSF certifications are important too as they define which type of chemical, heavy metal etc are removed..... I heard that there are 2 grades of NSF certification which is is really important to pure filter systems. Cheers!

We are now down to Intradesign and Renozone.... Want to finalize quotes + viewing id works... issue is 1 is quite exp but good, the other is cheaper but no consistent track record... Fringe benefits also a consideration which make this decision one of the most hard decision in my life..... Wish me luck..... haha (as if I believe in it.... haha)

Hi Bryan, Seems that you are competitor of Kemp? Based on 2 posting to say the Mavello system is bad just dun cut it. Being a Lecturer... you do know that what you say needs to be backed up... so if u think my statements are not true, do provide some pointers u feel strongly about. I am totally open about it. I am not totally pro kemp though... Kemp does not offer reseller programm as far as I know compared to H20. So if you business minded find H20, S$100k franchise anyone??? But I do agree with you on 1 point. Pls do your own research, find the truth and I believe the truth will set u free. There are tons of information in the web which is freely accessible... from clips to articles... etc Cheers brother....

Hi Bryan, Its surprising to hear such things about the Mavello system. I myself have the Mavello system since my parents purchased it and now with my own family, I have it as well. I have always been testing my water from the system using the ORP meter and it has been able to give me consistent results or -350 onwards. Being in the Lifescience field, I have a full arsenal of testers to measure the water. When the ionic water is collected, it will start to gradually get neutralized by the air. Based on your readings, either you have not allowed the plates to be washed daily or have let air react with the alkaline water for a while b4 testing. One of my friends who was a skeptic like me refused to believe Mavello was a good machine and went to test both KYK and Mavello... The result, alkaline water at pH 10 from the KYK 2500 lasted 3 days in a airtight container while the Mavello at pH 10 lasted 7 days. Much less can be said of the ORP from the KYK. As intellectual consumers, I think its is important to find the truth and do some homework ourselves What I am about to share is through some detailed web searches + friends from S.Korea during MFA gatherings 1) Pro. Dr. KYK (In his own company website, he is does not even claim to be a Dr. or PHD person.) I would like to know if you have information on his expertise? 2) If Dr. KYK have been in the industry for over 20 year..... then there should be lots of publication to his research works. I have found to date only 2, which are peer reviewed... meaning it was not even published in any authority scientific journals. 3) I am truly surprise when he is touted to be teaching in Seoul university and a professor. From my contacts in S.Korea ministry, he never taught nor holds any position in the University. 4) Now to the boss of H20, he mentioned he is a water specialist right? did you actually ask him which company he worked in for the numerous years of experience?? you would be surprise in his answer which I'll keep quiet for now. If you have further information that disputes this do post it here. It is important that the public should know the truth. Some food for thought.... would a NO.1 in Korea entrust its marketing efforts to a rookie company? H20 Lifesource is only in its infancy (approx 1 yr +). Its much like Samsung or LG giving SOLE DISTRIBUTORSHIP of its electronics products to say "abc" company which in only in the market for 1 year... would it? Any normal individual would say it is not possible. Lastly to address the SPH advertisement, upon checking with SPH marketing and sales division, SPH disputes that they are actually endorsing that KYK is no.1, either on TV, press or radio. They merely speak or write what was provided for them and I quote from them "honesty is on the advertiser and not on SPH to provide the truth of which actions may be brought to the advertiser's attention and this indemnifies SPH from any misunderstanding caused in the advertisement" So in short, do homework 1st before buying. Just like now I am doing renovations for my new home... If I do not do my homework and I believe an advert that states this particular ID is very good and its a flop... then its mine fault and not SPH.. Sure we can start legal proceedings like small claims... but is it worth the time which we are always lacking? Don't worry about being misled, its through experience which makes us more discerning in the future.... cheers

Did u ever considered Kemp Trading? They have been in the market for over 20 years selling the biggest brand Mavello and Jupiter range. Prices is from $1388. I got my Mavello at only $1388. I felt H20 is too expensive + the recurring cost of the filters is very expensive like $250 per year? I change my single 0.01 filter at $120. Sorry if I sounded harsh, but I felt they we trying to "hard sell" their system to me saying they are no.1. Being number 1 in Korea within 5 years is hard to believe especially selling only 2 models but in 1 mold. Jupiter by emcotech Emcotech has over 13 models to choose from..... so it more "believable" that Jupiter is the true no. 1. I have done some research in the net and dug up some "interesting" facts on KYK. Do see the clips I posted.... on you-tube.

Hi Seashell, which system you bought? the 2500 or 3000? how much it cost? My guess is 2.2k for 2500 and 2.9k for 3000?
-
Some update.. Just went to Impress21, Felt the person was not really open in discussion on the possible extra cost that might be incurred. As for renozone, they have not got back to be yet after saying that they will come back this week. So far, We have placed therefore Intradesign (1) Renozone (2) Impress21 (3)

Hi Goobii, Its been a while... how is everything?? Just a query, how was your installation of your cleansui??? Any pictures of the Cleansui installation?? Interested to see if cleansui has an ionizer that is undersink which uses platinium plates. Cheers
-
hi, u also at pinnacle? which block? currently, IDs that are on top of my list are Renozone, Intradesign and Henry from Impress. still got others too
-
have some in mind... will update after we short listed the final 2-3 id...
-
lets hope its not so happening.. i got a baby girl.....
-
Er I was saying about your cleansui installation as well. want to know they do it under the sink... then I can compare too pic pls?
-
Hi Goobii, Just went to Kemp Trading, asked about the cleansui ionizer, apparently cleansui has no undersink ionizer. It is basically using minerals and ceramic stones to produce the weak ionization. The big box u see is a transformer or a pump to bring up the water to the top or something. If its still an ionizer, the system is using 3 plates which is already obsolete. Please check if the system is using plates to give u the ionizations, if not its not an ionizer which they claimed to be. If its true do post some pics so everyone can have a look and understand it better. Thanks The company btbtrading is just a supplier and is just a few years in the market, while similar can be said of H20 Life source., Kemp trading has been around for 21 years. Supplying the latest and functioning system. Do let us how u installed the system through pictures.... thanks!

hi hi, hope someone is around to answer my query. I am looking for a glass hob. Cos it looks nice and easy to clean. Went to Harvey Norman and the SA said the only glass hob which has life time warranty for the glass is Tecno. Seems like she misrepresent cos there were a lot of comments here abt glass hobs with life time warranty. Anyway, anyone has feedback re Tecno hobs or any glass hobs? My MIL used one before. glass hob one and it cracked after a few yrs of heavy cooking. How does Tecno fare in terms of Rinnai or Ellane. Which one is more ex? thanks

Hi newnyew, went to their website, cant seem to see how it actually benefits the body... no info and literature... heated water is not good for the body as if water is consistantly heated.. it will not be able to bring in nutrients to the body or remove toxins effectively.. Hot + cold water system downside is also the cost price.. i will run a $ cost an see how much it cost to keep it on 24/7.
-
Hi newnyew, Seems fuss free if you like a hot & cold system. This is something Alkaline ionized water is unable to give at this point of time, so I guess its a tradeoff.. However I still think a water technology that is endorsed by the ministry of health in Japan and S.Korea would be bear much heavier weight especially for health reasons. This was the reason why I choose alkaline water. will post some of my findings here later...
-
Thks for the information. Will read it through 1st b4 deciding cabinates colour.....
-
Thks Goobii for the update. Seem Cleansui has an undersink as well. But the installation is "super" complicated with all the numbers... If I am not wrong they still require an external transformer to convert the power from Japan to Singapore which is very inconvenient... Not as chio as Delphi... for the price... might as well spend a bit more.... but thats me. Will update on the pricing when i go pick up my filters at Kemp
-
but i only have 1 roof over my head... so cant sell... plus i need 5 years in order to sell it... so use it 1st loh....
-
hihi, Thanks for the information. Do keep me in the loop as I will be needing a system soon... preferbly a non inverter system 4. I dun mind pooling to get cheaper pricing... have to include installations (all in is a must as I am worried people might "chop" on the installation side.
-
not dirty as dirty.... but I am worried that the sunlight might caused it to become yellowish.... thats the main concern...
-
hi panjang yes there is new flats in Tanjong Pagar haha... Hi Feimei, I think we are keeping the budget tight... below 20k I guess..
-
er I check cleansui before buying kemp, cleansui is only a 3 plate system + u need an external transformer to manage the power source... very troublesome. The only one that is the ionizer would be the 1st picture. The undersink unit is not an ionizer... I personally prefer getting a system from a factory which specilaized in it rather than a group making all kinds of stuff... KYK3000 is $2799 if I am not wrong...

Hi all, thinking of getting a white kitchen.. but the elders are saying the white cabinets will turn yellow very fast? true or not
