Every one has a favourable position. So if the bedroom is in his/her favourable position, he/she will do well. I have never heard that size of room matters.

Hmm.....I thought this has to do with the global economic crisis. Yen strengthened which make Japanese cars expensive, and Korean won crashed which make Korean cars cheaper. Kia Cerato Forte was rightly timed to launch during this period and Sporeans flocked to buy this model (waiting time is 3 months). Plus COE during this period also fell to around $5K. So I wonder how much influence did this FSM have on the sales?

Condos: Buy Now Or Wait?
twolambs replied to Misc100's topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
Many people buying condos in developed estates like Simei, Jurong, etc at around $600psf. But I don't think prices have come down yet. $600psf is not cheap ... I bought mine at $500psf back in 2005 when private properties were on the uptrend after the downturn in 2004. -
There is no such thing as guaranteed success from fengshui. A shop may have good fengshui, but the owner is lazy or provides bad customer service or even tries to rip the customers like some of the Sim Lim Square shops. Fengshui will not work for that owner. Same goes for homes.

You should not hang it above your bed, as it is like a grave. Then again, some say marriage is the grave of love. You can hang it on the wall at either side of the bed instead.

Master Tan is quite expensive and I heard from people who have used his services he is very commercial. He comes into to do a scan of your house's fengshui, and leaves in about 30 min. After that, 2 weeks later you will get a report from his staff. I can recommend you my FSM Master Zhang. He will spend about 4 hours at your place to draw out the fengshui charts so that you know what colours to use for your house, where to place the furniture, and how to amplify the good fengshui (locations of prosperity etc) and how to nullify the bad fengshui. He will walk you through every room and explain to you clearly and you can ask as many questions as you want. I have engaged Master Zhang twice, and also recommended him to many friends -- all gave good reviews. I have PMed you his number and charges.

i don't think it is so easy to just buy a compass, buy a fengshui book and perform DIY fengshui for your home. Cos the book is dead, and fengshui is very much alive. The books often give you a simple example but when you look at your own house, you cant find it in the book. So only a seasoned FSM will know how to apply the fengshui concepts to analyse the fengshui of your house, according to your layout. Just my 2 cents' worth

My humble observations. But I am no FSM, and you should consult one for more advice. 1. Stove should not face Fridge, but it can be next to fridge. You may want to put the fridge in your orignal proposed position. How often is someone standing there and opening the fridge to cause obstruction? 2. Kitchen door should not face bedroom 2 door. You may want to add a partition wall to block the line of sight. Mebbe it can be a feature wall with storage facilities. 3. TV should not face the master bed directly. TV is like a piece of mirror and should never face the bed directly. 4. Bedroom 2 - the wall is shorter than the bed, and so when some one sleeping, the feet is "exposed" by the door. It can affect the health, and also if a couple is sleeping on the bed, they may have quarrels. Better to turn the bed 90 degrees with the windows at the back of the bed. 5. Dining Mirror - Having a mirror next to the dining table is taboo. In fengshui, we believe this can cause extra-marital affairs, as the spouse is likened to have meals at another house because of the mirror reflection.

A FSM would be able to help you determine who is more suitable for a bedroom. I can't remember whether it is based on the animal sign or the element.

Rectifiying Bad Fengshui In A Rented Flat.
twolambs replied to latitude's topic in Geomancy/Fengshui
For point 2, you can conceal the toilet by hanging curtains (if possible). Otherwise, time to look for another apartment as you can't really do much since it is not your house. -
Stove opposite sink is a structural design and it will be difficult to solve. In today's property market, you should have more choices. So maybe you want to continue to look around ?

My FSM gave me a checklist but I have misplaced it. It had pictures with English and Chinese explanation so it was quite easy to follow. I vaguely remember: - stepping over a charcoal stove - bring in a pot of cooked rice - rolling a pineapple in (Ong Lai) - prayer ritual - throw coins in every corner of the house and shout 发(huat) - put the oranges in the corners of the living room

It should be NS facing, but I am no FSM. The door direction is only used to determine house direction if the layout of the house is too complicated to properly determine the direction. So that your house will be in alignment with the magnetic field of the the North & South Poles. The Earth is one big magnet. Something about polarisation.
