  1. Instead of fixed awning.. I have seen some EM owners who actually put a full height window at their balcony all the way up to the ceiling outside the window of the MBR window... It allow entrance of natural light as well.. Kinda nice too.. maintanence wise... i m still thinking of how they clean their window... where they put their a/c conpressor =D
  2. Hmm.. U can take a trip to Ikea and look out for out door seating ideas... They have new section for out door seatings... Currently I put a dining table there instead cos its erm.. nearer to the TV ... But most of the time, I mark my books there instead of eating there... Eating is always at the coffee table =p Hehhe...

  7. Hmmm.. There is a unit i called an enquire b4 which agree to sell a little below val..but the thing is: val = 400k report selling at 360k they wan under table of 30k so complicated...actually.. EM rather hard to sell away... as compared to other types
  8. That Unit has a val of 400k.. and wanted 25k cash... But that time when i viewed it.. the owner wanted some 'undertable' ... so we din buy lor... its sold le.. at 400kval + 20kcash... but its left empty... the owner is looking for quotes.. I asked her in.. but she din come in lehh... still waiting for her When I bought my unit... the Val shot up to 425k.. he already gotten what he wanted le... Paid him 425k + 10k ... He dao zhuan 10k bahhh the diff in val is too big ... but its good for us younger couple for cash in hand is very important =( 10k compared to 40k.. *sweat* Now i m still saving for reno... Haha... Actually my unit.. looks very different from the time of viewing and handing over.. I m still very satisfied with my extensive floor scrubbing.. HahaMy floor is Light blue instead of ermm.. brown..
  9. Chrono, I din its the difference in Location bah? i tried walking from my hubby's camp to the mrt.. nid about 15mins... hers is opp mrt.. so .. nearer.. cost more lor... BTW.. when u coming up to see the change in the house from the day u last saw it? Hahha.. we gave it a darnn good scrub.. the flooring from black (at least, brown), turn light blue.... =D btw wanna ask u.. that day when u saw my unit.. were u inform that another unit along the same level was on sale as welll ?

  11. YewTee... That time I view a unit at block 555... the valuation is about 360.. they ask for 40k cash... zzz den i didnt buy le ... Like that place cos.. its just opposite Kranji Camp.. my hubby work there...

  13. Btw guys... I went to several EMs these few days.. cos I was buying 2nd hand furniture for my tenants.. and coincidentally ... few of them are EMers... But I realise some thing... Even though the floor plan looks the same... I realise.. there are some EMs there are exceptionally Crampy... as in .. Cramp... The distance between the 1st flight of stair case.. to the entrance of the kitchen.. is very different... Meaning.. the whole stretch from dining to living... about 2feet width missing.. I m kindda astonished by the great difference in the flr area...

  19. Move in already.. =D But renting all my spare rooms out $_$ =D They didnt mind my dogs as well... Bring in some income for me to save for my reno lor... Kinda scary to dink of servicing the loan for a few years =(
  20. Awning is the most permanent option... It is also the most expensive one... However, some owners do not like having a roof at the balcony cos they like the natural light coming in.. It depends on u lor... =D
