So far City Gas offered Rinnai brand for the gas dryer. To consider the cost saving, you have to look into long term usage. Although the electric one is cheaper, the cost of electricity is definitely higher than the cost of gas. On average, I used gas dryer 2 times per week --> 8 times per months --> S$6.00 per month an addition gas cost. Each time gas used is 30mins per drying.

For condenser dryer, one of the promoter at Courts told me that the dryer can be plinside aced anywhere of your house even the store room. There is no hot air coming out of the dryer. All the lint and water will be collected by trays below of the dryer. While for other advantages I am not too sure. As for the vented gas dryer that presently I am using, so far so good. The instant heat build up from the gas dryer enable my clothing to dry up as fast as 35 mins. As for the specification of drying: max 6kg per 1 hour drying, I suspect my clothing weight is less than 6kg. Previously, I have mentioned this is a vented gas dryer, it is required to have windows outlet (refer to my posted photos) to allow the hot air to be pumped out, or otherwise, your kitchen will be filled up warm air. For the temperature of the warm air, it is likely to be the same as the air-con compressor. While for the maintenance, it requires least effort. There is a double filters inside which use for trapping the lint from the clothing. It is necessary to remove the lint from the filter on some occasion depends on how heavy usage are you for the gas dryer. For the size of the gas dryer, it is smaller than those condenser dryer and you have the options to wall mount the dryer or sit on the floor type. Hope the above information serve you with some purpose.

However, they have accidently damage my windows grills as you can see below. Because of this damage, they promised to replace it for me for FOC. Haiz., Don't know whether they suay or I suay.... Now my kitchen's windows became grill-less while waiting the specialist to come over next week for the grills installation.

Continue...... 6. They have extent the copper pipe from my existing gas heater. 7. The piping where it linked to the gas dryer. 8. The on/off valve was just next to the dryer where the copper is being linked. 9. The gas dryer was placed onto the rack and that's it! 10. The air ventilation was facing towards the open windows to prevent hot air built up inside my kitchen.

At Last! They have came down to my house for the installation. Below is my photo sharing: 1. I have removed the grills to allow the air ventilation to be pointed outwards. Notice that on the right side of my windows grills? I will tell you more about it. 2. The gas dryer was found outside of my house which they just open up the box and sitting right there. 3. The technicians from City Gas were doing marking on the rack before they started to drill 4 holes. 4. 4 holes were drilled and screwed within 5 minutes. It is a very simple rack installation! 5. They had cut off my existing gas pipe with the 3 ways pipe joint to extend the piping.

I believe my heater is the older version compare to your one. So far there is no issue for my heater. Used it for nearly 5 years and changed battery once. As mine is analog tuning, therefore there is no electrical wiring. As I do not have experience on the newer gas heater, thus I can't comment too much. It is advisable to check with the vendor or supplier of your problems.

As the technician came over today for the inspection, he mentioned that the will be extended from the gas heater. However, the window grill has to be removed so that it will not block the ventilation pipe. So I guess the installation of air dryer so be coming soon. Stay tune for the installation part.

Well, I have noticed not many people do a review on the Rinnai gas dryer. As I will install the gas dryer soon, I will do some write up on this 'oven'. As for now, I am waiting the technician to do site inspection. Below is my initial location of the dryer: My initial thought of extension of gas pipe starts from the gas heater

Basically, the house does not involved any overhaul such as drilling, hacking and etc. Due to budget constraint, we can only do minor touch up... Building a new kitchen cabinet, overlay floor tiles of 2 toilets and sanitary ware and polishing of marble floor = $8,000 pocket burnt. For replacement switches (Technician Charge: $700), it done through DIY ($150). This goes to painting (Professional Painter: $1,600) of wall by DIY ($150) as well. Therefore, it saved me some $2,000 for these 2 items. Overall Satisfaction: Priceless
