Actually, since you already know the address, you can buy the floor plan at $5/copy. I remembered that I bought the softcopy through HDB website about 2 months before the first appointment, I know - I was just too anxious, haha... If I am not wrong, hardcopy (also $5/copy) is also available at HDB hub (but I don't know where), however, I think it would be good to buy softcopy over hardcopy as you can "reproduce" them easily when it is in softcopy. Cheers!

Hey, congratulations on the new flat! Despite all the problems, hope everything would be smoothly carried out on your new flat. Cheers!

You are indeed right in this case, however, there are other people who knows about the market of course. To give you a "little" clue, my new place is (I believe so) the only flat that is so "young", the surrounding flats easily at least 20 over, 20 years old.
-
I see, yeah, I do agree that it is still a good buy, since the flat is relatively "young" and has the potential to up its value in the future. Hence, I selected this block over the point blocks.

Wow, mrspiglet, I'm impressed. Like you also can tell that I am currently staying near there (though I believe other areas' residents would also know this famous market) - but at the other end nearer to Sheng Shiong/Kakit Bukit CC.

Wow, bigcat, you've got a very nice place. The picture updates really show good progress in your renovation! Cheers!
-
Totally agree with you!! Now that you mentioned it, I'm like feeling hungry already, haha...

Smart, smart mrspiglet. Your second guess is good, it is about 5/10 minutes walk away from the market. Yes, my bad for not clear in my first post. =)

Hi sohck, I just edited my first post, this resale flat I bought is not a point block, I initially wanted to buy point block but too expensive and "old", thus went for other options like this one. Hope this clarifies the doubt, and mine cost < $450 for this 11 year-old flat (last year was 10 year-old).
-
Oops, I guess I should edit my first post, this new resale flat I bought is not a point block. You do know that Bedok has North and South yeah?

Thanks, Smallboy. Right now, I am so eager to see the carpentry by end of this week.
-
Thanks. You are right, I also like them very much.

Thanks blue, actually I didn't expect that it could turn out that well. Initially I thought the private balcony's door is transparent glass door, and I was thinking what kind of curtain I should be getting at the door or windows (for privacy), but I now, I am not getting which would save me some cost. But the master bathroom door, I did indicate that I would prefer a normal size door than a bi-fold door, I was picturing those condo style bathroom door in my head, but this frosted glass door (with inwards or outwards opening) is definitely great for me too! I guess Mr K should have all the experiences to know how to cater to my likings, haha...

Good guess mrspiglet, but incorrect. TJ is in one zone, but mine is at the opposite zone, if you get what I mean? Haha...

Hello again people, thanks for all the welcome messages. This week is currently week 8 of renovation (mainly carpentry, basin, toilet & WC works), hence photos will be taken this Sunday, so that I will not hinder the work progress and I can take my own sweet time to look around & not obstructing the workers. Haha... Too many questions, so if I missed out any of your questions, do ask again yeah. Metalsubzero Bedroom 3 will be my study/work room, you got to wait till the door is installed (can close at 2 different ends) which I can't explain it here, so I will let the photo "talk" to you. Haha... The private balcony, I will let one side of the windows open when I turn on the air con. The other study room near the main balcony will be guest room or "game" room (like mahjong!!) Bedroom lights were suggested by my ID, as I quite "nuts" in such matters of designing/decorating, likewise for the glass door or frosted glass door. But the see-through kitchen was my idea, because in that way, my mother can keep an eye on my nieces, which she is looking after during the day. Now, my ID is the popular Mr K from Ideal House. =) Cost is $40K + a bit, which will finish by next weekend latest (told Mr K that I'm not in the hurry, so do nice-nice), hence will move in after next week. Pinklady See last paragraph above. =) Will be going out for dinner, will check back with guys later. Cheers! =)
