Hi pbtgal, yeah, you are right, he did a good job on the wardrobe indeed!
-
Hi preciousjam & guy77, thanks for the compliments, credit goes to my ID, as he suggested most of the colour schemes (as well as the wall tiles combination). I like the living room best, big and spacious feel... I will start to shift this weekend, and furnitures will start to come also next week. So tiring when it comes to shifting house, haha...

Hey mamaliz, a little late to congratulate, but anyway, Congratulations!! Just saw your blog as you "pushed" it up again since April, and realised that we shared the same ID, Mr K wor... Anyway, saw some "familiar" designs (you can drop by my blog to look-see-look-see) in your blog, and by the way, Mr K just handed over back the house to me yesterday (Saturday, but there is still need to do touch up), and personally, I feel that it is a job well done. Got to go now, I'm so sleepy already... See ya around!!

Congratulations on your purchase of the resale condo!! Welcome you to start this blog too, and awaiting to see your floorplan!! Cheers!!

End of Week 9 - Part 4 Common toilet view from outside, with mirror installed. Common toilet view from inside, with mirror installed. Tap used for the instant heater. Tap used for the basin in common toilet & master bathroom. Wash basin in the kitchen (and the type of tap used).
-
End of Week 9 - Part 3 Master Bathroom Views (3 views). View from shower screen, with mirror installed. View from front corner (near door), with mirror installed. Tap used for the instant heater.

End of Week 9 - Part 2 Bedroom 3 – take note that there was a little window by the right of the wall, now being concealed (compare with post #6 in this blog, page 1). Master Bedroom Views (3 views). This view is taken near the private balcony, noticed that the original door (on the right of photo) has been painted in the shade of two colours (originally was dark brown or bronze colour). The same goes to Bedroom 2 door colour. The view of Bedroom 2.

As mentioned 2 posts earlier, some photos would be a little blur, as I used my handphone's camera to take the shots... After the chemical wash, and the floor is clear of all the rubbish, this will be the update for week 9: End of Week 9 - Part 1 L-shaped living room – first view through the balcony area, the other view is TV console area. Looking through kitchen area - take note of the door to new study/games room on the right, the door is painted white to match wall colour. The other view is looking at the main door, which the main door is also re-painted white.

Yoz Angel81, You are right on that sink, from MN with that blue basket thing... Actually, what's the purpose of that blue basket? Or what did you use that for huh?? I also hope that the compressor won't be too noisy, crossing my fingers on that...

Hi people, Quite a few days away from this forum, lots of things to take care, and so-so-so tiring manz... Saturday, which now considered yesterday, was the handing over. Forgotten to bring along camera, so took some photos (will update later below) using handphone's camera, so a couple of photos are a little blur... Hi mrspiglet, so your contact will visit your place first or you visit his? Maybe you could pm me a little more of the procedure which you encountered, as well as his contacts? Thanks a million!

Oh WOW, mrspiglet, your recommendation on MaCe's blog has 32 pages!!! But it is very informative and I'm loving it! I am only at page 2 and I think I am going to take days to finish the whole 32 pages. Unbelievably good suggestions!! Thanks !! Cheers!!

Wow, great minds think alike eh, "super *hi-five*" lor, haha... Yes, the bedroom 3 door is really my favourite when my ID suggested it, I was still not sure if he meant it, but I said yes immediately when he proposed this idea, haha...
-
Hi hkching, first thing first - congratulations on your new house. Though you said you didn't read everything in detail, you are still good. I only selected a few blogs to read or new ones, as there are just too many, haha...
-
Hi preciousjam, I did think about it initially, but after discussion with myID as I was thinking of having more moving space, I decided eventually to do just the L-shaped wardrobe. Coz in any case, my bedroom 3 door acts as a "second door" to my master bedroom. For your information, please.

Hi poseidon_gal, do you mean this one below: If you are refer to the one above, sorry to say that I didn't buy it. I always thought it came with it originally from HDB when it was first built, no? Maybe other forumers can help to answer poseidon_gal on this matter??

Hi adrian_john, thanks for the compliments. By the way, my nick is skyblue, not skyway, but don't worry about it, no offence taken. More update of pictures are likely to be this Sunday, after handing over and when chemical wash done, so the place will be clear up of rubbish (now it is like everywhere) and the wall tiles are washed. Do stay tune!

Hihi mrspiglet, you are so informative. Yeah, I'm quite a lazy one when it comes to cleaning and such. Thus, I should do up roller blinds in bedroom 3, and possibly curtains at new study/games room. By the way, do you have any good recommendations on the shop/people who make good curtains/blinds?? Toilet roll, do you mean the whole roll? I suppose need to change it after some time right? Will go read up the blog you suggested, hopefully not too many pages, haha... Thanks, thanks, really appreciate your feedback.

Congratulations on your new house, m3lwan. A nice layout, and the carpentry and furnishing are nice!

Aiyo rolexboy, you and your roasted duck drumstick rice! Haha... Hi silver88, you've pm-ed me an ID list last year and I am currently using Mr K from Ideal House, same as rolexboy and yourself. Just want to check with you on your shoe cabinet, as rolexboy pointed in my blog. Your shoe cabinet do not have any opening for ventilation, right? So far, is there any funny smell after using it for months, since there is no air ventilation? Coz mine is also not ventilated. Haha...
-
You've made a good point, rolexboy. I didn't think about it. But then, I quite like the look of it as it is now, I might just put something inside the cabinet to rid any smell? Anyway, will check with Mr K on this matter too. Thanks.

Well, thanks for your input, ivy. Maybe I could also elaborate a little more on my ID selection. After knowing I would be buying the flat, I join this forum before my first appointment, and have been reading a lot since then. This year, I narrowed down to three main firms (not in any particular order): (1) Intradesign - Dave (2) Renozone - Ronney (3) Ideal House - Mr K There was a fourth one, whom I met by chance at the HDB hub, but I "failed" him immediately when I noticed his firm is not HDB-licenced, and I do not want to take that risk. His firm was also relatively new, so no one could provide feedback as yet. Back to the three of them, I am actually quite comfortable with all three. Intradesign - knowing how the quotation is going to be, I did not want to waste time on asking them to itemise the quotation. They did not "pass" because their quote was on a high side. Some of the you here also said that eventually the final quote maybe higher than original as the process started (add/change here & there), though they also did not regret it at the end. But since I cannot afford that "huge" budget (possibly over 50K at the end), hence I passed. Dave is actually a nice person to talk to. As for Renozone, did met up with them at least twice I believe (the same time as I met with Ideal House), to discuss about the plan and layout. Both quotations (RZ & IH) were competitive actually. But RZ "failed" on 3 main points: ( a ) IH has 8% discount on the grand total, which RZ do not have (you can choose other offer over at IH website if you don't take this 8% discount); ( b ) RZ could not do up a plan to my liking for Master bathroom, they also did not suggest hacking wall to make it bigger (or be more flexible); ( c ) RZ also could not suggest a better (or creative) idea that Mr K have for my bedroom 3 door (see above post #62). Hence, the end result will be IH. I did not want to "collect" too many quotations also, simply because this might cause more headache and making me more difficult to decide, thus I only selected the few main ones, after reading comments here in RT. Just thought of sharing the process that I went through. Cheers!

Congratulations on the new place you've got! Cheers!!

Looks like I am the first one to welcome you!! Welcome and congratulations on having a new place. Well, it is never too late to start, if you look at mine, I also started my blog towards the end of my renovation, "almost finished" already, haha... Cheers!
-
Alright, thanks rolexboy. Really appreciate your feedback. If you have the time, do browse through my latest update for week 8 at my blog. Take care! Cheers!

Hi pbtgal & ivy, thanks. Actually, it was all mainly my ID's suggestion as I am quite "nuts" on design. Good thing it turns out fine. Haha...
