  1. Hi jack, Haven't been around for while, though still reading occasionally, haha... Anyway, sent you a PM, check it out when you are free!
  2. Got it from IFC's Brighton Furniture at level 3 - nearer your place than mine. Was furniture shopping there (IFC) with friends when I saw a platform bed at King Furnishing (also at level 3) first. I asked the salegirl if there are other designs, which she then brought me to Brighton Furniture - just around the corner. That was where I saw my new bed and ordered it straight away. By the way, there are 24 colours to match to your desire. My bed frame is walnut colour.
  3. Sure why not, but hor, last year you also said want to organise MJ session - till now don't have wor... Haha... Yes, fully agree. Rondy's place is quite centralised, and he can cook too!! So, when-ah, when-ah??
  4. Sorry ah, asked-asked but didn't come in here to ask... Actually hor, that bed is only about 1-year old, since I moved in last June. The new bed cost $499 + $50 installation + 7% GST. Yes, I remembered, you busy mah - with kids to take care, so take your time, no need to hurry one. I quite current, so no more lagging behind like last year.
  5. Haha, Rondy always do the "incredible things" mah, so now you are "new and alive"!!
  6. Haha, yes-yes, I called your name and you indeed responded fast wor. And also you very 讲不听 hor, still anyhow call, haha... For the old bed frame, I did asked my friends and relative if anyone wanted it, but no one. So, I dismantled it the day before the new one came, and called the town council guy to clear it from the lift lobby - where the rubbish chute is. The old one has fabric surface, which collect dust/dirt easily (though can remove to wash, but too troublesome). Whereas the new one is of leather-like material, which is easier to clean. Hence, the old one "got to go" lor...
  7. Update 17 New Bed Frame (Replacement) Wow, it's been a long time since my last update, and the old friends are now less frequent here in Renotalk, except maybe Rondy and Newnyew... Anyway, saw this bed frame (see below), and I like it very much (personal preference) that I had to replace my old one. Nothing much to shout about, just thought of sharing it here with everyone. Cheers!!
  8. Hi, firehorse. Firstly, congrats to your completion on your house reno finally!! The end product looks good! By the way, your old thread is not deleted (but you've deleted most of the things in the thread though), it was just not shown on the main page. To see it, just click HERE. Cheers!!
  9. Just for info, from HDB website, Ideal House is registered until August 2011 - registered under Mr K's name. Cheers!!
  10. Pardon my interuption... Then you should like 宫心计, it is 古装的喔 ... Some more it was pretty exciting too... Other than this, the other one worth watching, which won Best Drama 2009, Best Actor (黎耀祥) & Best Actress (邓萃雯), was 巾帼枭雄 - 清朝 era... For me personally, most of TVB production I would like to watch, other than their 诙谐搞笑剧, don't find it that "entertaining", haha... Just my 2 cents worth of comments.
  11. Wah, so touched wor, for your invitation. I can make it that day, only for you!! Ehh... you are not inviting your "boss" ah?
  12. No leh, that day happened that I need to "work" lor... Aiyo, thanks ah, but I thought looks rather "kiddy". It happened that last minute, my printer broke down, so no choice must hand-write lor, haha...
  13. Hi tulips, first of all, thanks for the hospitality in holding this function, and it was great to see everyone again. PJ, no worries, you can also pass on the "sharing", but don't quote me, haha.
  14. Dear all forumers, *** For all completed house owners, hope everything has been great so far and do enjoy this festive season in your new house!! ## For house owners currently going through the renovation, hope everything has been smooth sailing with not too much hiccups. %% For house owners whom have experienced problems with contractors/IDs, take a break this festive season and most importantly, don't lose hope and move on with positive attitude!! Wish everyone a very Merry Christmas this holiday!! :yeah:
  15. Long time no see, tulips, and thanks for the invite. Ok, will try to rearrange my plans and make a trip down this second PPP on that day. Will finalise again sometime next week.
  16. Well, if you are not in Sg, then have fun overseas yeah. Cheers!
  17. Hi PJ, long time no see. Would you be going? I can only confirm next week...
  18. Ho rondy, I can't confirm yet, will try to confirm early next week. So, would you be going? How about catseyes2004sg, going too?
  19. Hi catseyes2004sg, I think they have delivery once a month - for those imported furnitures, "our coffee tables" I believe has to be imported, so need to wait for their next month delivery lor... Mine also got to wait almost 2 months wor...
  20. Hi doremon2009, Well, to be frank, I am a first timer too. The grand total is $22625 ? If so, I thought it is quite ok. Maybe, some of the other experts could also chip in for you, like rondy? Haha... However, I see supply material and lay floor tiles, but there is no hacking? Or did I missed reading it?
  21. Hey catseyes2004sg, Yeah, still reading but less active in posting, quite busy lor, haha... Agree also on the aircon matter, just one person to call, for "multiple problems"... For the coffee table, the bottom part is not attached to the top part, it can be moved totally out, as in they are 2 separate items altogether. The cost is $280, not sure if it is cheap, but I kind of like it, so it was bought, haha... Yes, should at least visit S&C even if you don't buy anything from them, to me, their service is really good. Enjoy your shopping!!
  22. Update 16 After-renovation service update from my ID Part I A little background story first – my kitchen window was not replaced (using existing one), I only did a new window grilles as there wasn't any previously. If you guys remembered the Bukit Timah flood 2 weeks ago, my kitchen floor also had a little "flood". Apparently, one of the window's screw on top was leaking in rain water, and it eventually flow to a small portion of the kitchen floor. I forgotten to take photos as I was too busy cleaning up, haha... So I quickly text my ID to get one of his guys to come take a look, and within half an hour, someone called to identify as my ID's guy and asked about the condition and arranged a date to come and take a look before deciding what to do. He came the following Tue and examine the condition and told me the window is an older version which is not commonly seen nowadays. He suggested to fix some silicon to the screw area and see how it goes first, if it doesn't work I would need to replace the windows altogether. He proceeded to take measurement first, just in case I need to replace them. Finally, the following Tue (which was this week), the workers came and get it done in less than 10 minutes. Now, I have got to wait for heavy downpour before I know if the "flood" still persists. Verdict (strictly personal opinion): Service is good!! :good: *********************************** Part II 一波未平, 一波又起... Last weekend, I found out that 2 out of 5 antenna sockets was not working, as the TV showed snowy picture and there was no sound. Therefore, I had to text my ID again regarding this matter, and he gets his guys to come and take a look today (between 1530 to 1730). I came back at about 1410 today to see a guy outside my door, he was early but I wasn't complaining. He took out a socket and screwed something and commented that the cable was loose. Then, we tested both sockets, and they now work. :good: catseyes2004sg, if you are reading this, you are in good hands wor.
  23. Update 15 It has been quite a long while since I last updated. The last item to be updated would be the coffee table (long overdue) bought from S&C. It arrived on 3 Oct (Sat). My new coffee table The bottom tray comes with 4 wheels, so it can be moved Some update on S&C service at the same time. The coffee table was actually scheduled to arrive on 29 Sep (Tue), but I won't be in. So, the Sunday before Tuesday, I made a second trip down to S&C to rearrange the delivery date and source for any good storage cabinet. As it was almost 2 months since my first trip, I don't expect them to remember me. When I arrived, the husband was with a customer, so the wife served me again. She didn't seem to remember me so I told her I was looking for a storage cabinet, and she asked me to take a seat. Just when I was about to sit, she remembered that I ordered a coffee table from them and asked if it was delivered. Before I could said anything, her husband replied that it would be delivered on 29 Sep (I suppose he overheard her question and responded). I was surprised by their memory, as I only ordered a coffee table and they actually can recall such details. I was very impressed indeed, my conclusion is – I will patronize them again. :good:
  24. Though I am not too sure about the corner unit, I am pretty sure the master bedroom should have a window/balcony corner. From my observation, odd unit levels (#03, 05, 07, etc.) have a small balcony (look at the design from far). So even unit levels seem to have window, if there is no balcony. I won't say it is a fantastic design, but I am not complaining - I am staying in this block.
  25. Wah, long time no visit, 4 pages already wor... So I see you have signed with Mr K, I believe your reno journey should be a rather smooth one. Do update whenever possible, though I know it is quite tough due to your travelling, just "slowly" do. But hor, your "boss R" will "scream" at you to upload photos (he used to do that), haha... Oops...
