It is stated on the magic clean floor detergent that it can be used to clean both parquet & marble floors but i just wanted to be sure. Think there is special floor detergent for these 2 floor types?

  10. Thanks for offering to check them out! Based on this website (& map): http://thailandforvisitors.com/central/ban...chak/index.html my understanding is that i can find the home deco shops in the sections surrounding the tower clock as well as the "home deco" area in blue? which one would u advise i head for 1st? pricewise. during my last trips i hv only been to the shops surrounding the tower clock. but this is the 1st time i would be looking out for home deco stuff at CTC. perhaps u can advice me on which section i should focus on if i am keen on small home accessories? wooden, ceramics, magazine folders & containers in natural materials (for my teak open bookshelf u see), floral/patchwork bedsheets, paintings...anything vaguely country style. i did quite a bit of research online & home deco shops seems pretty scattered all over the main market
  11. That is so nice of u! Do u travel to BKK often for work or something? u seemed to be very well versed in the deco shops there. I am looking either a cuckoo clock or an antique clock like this: https://ssl102.webhosting.optonline.net/ros...loads/33167.JPG But with numbers in 1,2,3 instead of the olden style numbering. teaching my girl time soon la Antique phone something like this: http://www.made-in-china.com/image/2f0j00O...e-CT-TF023-.jpg Do u know if it is true that the "Home decor" section of CTC is open all week? I read it on a website somewhere.

  17. Hi all, For those who have installed ceiling fans, would like your opinion on how effective is the coverage if we are not directly under the fan itself. Question: Can you feel any wind if you are not directly under the fan? If you are 1 metre away from the ceiling fan, is your ceiling fan still effective? If yes, pls help to indicate the brand/model you are using. If you are 2 metres away from the ceiling fan, is your ceiling fan still effective? If yes, pls help to indicate the brand/model you are using. Background: We are deciding between having standing fan vs ceiling fan for our dining/family area. As that area is rectangular in shape, we are worried that the ceiling fan might not be as effective since the designated point is not in the exact center of the area. The dining area is directly under the fan but my worry is that our kids will be using the family area for their playtime which is about 2 metres further away from the celiing fan. Thanks for your time.
  18. hihihi, pardon me, but why do we need the thinner? the raw pine furniture pieces is very smooth. except for the middle of ring part of the grains (dun know the wood terms to explain it right). so i was thinking just vanish without sanding dun know if advisable.
  19. can anyone recommend where i can buy cheaper wood vanish? a small can at Homefix cost $22!
  20. Anyone owns one of this instead of the usual standing fan? How does it work? What are the adv & disadv? If i place it next to my wooden queen size bed, would it be cooling enough? Any brands to recommend? Thanks in advance for any advise.
  21. when u recommend lacquer, is it the same thing as wood vanish? is it easy to paint the lacquer? can it be just applied over the raw pine or do we need to sand it down or something? totally sotong so hv lots of qns maybe i just vanish outside & leave the inside raw? kekeke. less work.
  22. I am keen to purchase some solid pine furniture for my girls' room. Wardrobe, chest of drawers, single bed. But I was told that they are raw pine. Not varnished. Anyone knows if it is ok to use them without varnishing it? Anyone have experience with using unpolished wood furniture? Pls share & advise. Thks!

  25. I see Thanks for explaining. My kids hv slight eczema. So am a bit more careful. I am still undecided betw fabric & leather. This time round, I am hoping to be able to create a more country style feel to my living room. I have been shopping around & can't seem to find something similar. Suede fabric seems to be so much more popular these days.
