  1. Been really busy recently with the travelling and reservist... my wife and I decided to stay put with my mums for the time being so we stopped our search and observe the market now. We decided that it prob not the right time to be committed to loans as now the economy is quite volatile. Also we lost quite abit in our investments.. haha Congrats to all who had gotten their dream homes. Mine will have to wait but I will pop in once awhile.

Hihi, morning all... so excited. went to view some at BB 125 and 121 125 14th storey.. 498K low cash.. but have to overhaul completely!!! 125 6th storey 485k expired .. low cash.. minimum reno needed. 121 4th storey corner unit 500k i think, high cash.. i think major reno.. We are considering the 125 6th.. waiting for the HLE to come back and do our maths.. haha hopefully everything within our budget. Nice, i like that dog! how old?
  3. I'm considering actually but i am working out my budget. It will be tight! Since this is only the first one i have seen so its too early to settle on it. Yeah.. am arranging to view those too once my agent gets the details.
  4. Haha, that was exactly what i was going to do. I am planning to rent it out since I am not in a hurry to shift in if i were get a house now. Can save abit and do a good reno. Anyways some updates: Viewing at BB 121, place is ok but the deco abit too old so if get must redo whole hse = spend $$ Value as of 29th Aug is 500k owner asking 40k BB 628.. no chance to see, owner not free. But value at 514k.. sooo expensive all.. Some more viewing this evening. update soon..

  6. Erm, it along the MRT tracks towards Clementi Station. Its the 2nd floor unit facing the main road. Is that yours? I was assuming yours to be at Sunset Way. Anyways 1st Oct coming soon.. quite fast hor... WAH! Even if it is 22X, if the place is ok and my wife likes it, i guess shouldnt be an issue. I din know there is another swimming pool in BB area. I thought mine was the only at St 22. Wow spend a year looking.. but i think if you found your dream place and what you want, its still worth it la.. I am taking my time but if the price and location is right.. why not.?? hehe Same, Initially I thought 4 room enough la. But I always like the idea of climbing stairs.. makes you feel like you owned a private house. hahahaha... Yeah I guess i should keep my options open. Go view until happy!
  7. No details from my agent, she only say its BB Central. I should call her and asked. Hopefully its the ones opp West Mall. Then i confirm grab!! haha.. but at that price i dun think so.. more updates by weekend after viewing..
  8. Hi Hi, just some info from my agent, COV prices expect to drop. I got viewing for a EM at BB Central, valued at 450k asking 485k.. u guys think worth it? Another 5rm at BB St24 #17, 120sqm, valued at 430k asking 455k.... will update again... BTW, i saw some reno going on at the Clementi EMs. Anybody here doing the reno at Clementi? hehe
  9. Wow, congrats in getting your EM. I will be having viewings in BB and BG area this few weeks. Hopefully it my turn to ask questions here soon. Crossing my fingers and hoping the price is right.

  11. Some good news for those on a lookout for EMs. I am not sure if this is accurate, but my agent say to wait abit, Oct '08 to Feb '09 is the critical period. Market may drop. If you buy now, the only worry is you buy high. I am playing the waiting game for now.
  12. I heard the Jurong area should be cheaper, am still hoping the market will come down. I still prefer BB if possible, then my mum wun have to travel far. I have 2 friend staying in BB's EMs. One is very nicer done and its near the West Mall. The other is the original set up nearer to Bt Gombak MRT, very noisy can hear the MRT. My agent advise me that if can get a move in condition EM at BB, even at 500k plus should be quite ok. I dunno, judging from what i read on this thread, even minimum reno would cost 40-50k Still waiting for my agent to arrange for some viewings, that's bcoz i had some specific requirements. I quite niao actually. hahahaha
  13. At the present moment, both of us are staying with my mum in Bt Batok. We have looked ard the EMs near to West Mall. They are pretty nice but very EXPENSIVE!! Hopefully my agent can help get a EM near to my mum's place otherwise, its a hassle for her to come and go to look after the coming baby.

  15. Hi, owning a EM has always been my dream. Whereabouts do EMs exist in the Western area? I only know Bt Batok and Clementi Sunset Way. Anybody got any idea what are the present valuation now for EMs? I have asked my housing agent fren to help source for a EM. Sorry for so many questions.
