Hi Charemme, I will have to get the exact measurement fm ID when the carpentary designs are out, then will go buy the Blum drawers. But I have work it out: 4pcs of I6 X $88.27= for Tall cabinet unit 3pcs of S4 X $63.48= for cabinet drawers 2pcs of Aventos X $80= for dish rack But may add more of S4 later, will have to discuss with ID on the cabinet design. charemme, I went today to the Blum dealer that New gave me the address, the one at Upper Thomason road. The guy there was very helpful and explain to me the measurement for each Blum drawers and price. I will be getting them for my Tall unit drawers and a few for my cabinets and also the Avento thingy for the dish rack. A few mths ago, I did went down to Blum showrm and play with the drawers, very cool and I like them

Hi Rondy bro, I feel paisei towards Yeak and inform him last nite my reno will be done by someone else. Assured him his wks is gd and I will recommend frds to him. He is a gd chap. Yes, Ideal hse have 3D but will takes abt 14 days for him to come with that and schedule for my reno. But I am still undecisive abt some carpentery, so along the way will be additional n $$$ No Gst fm Ideal Hse.

Charemme, My feng shui master told me for 财位, he will find the correct spot for u, then u can put either water feature/fish tank. Must have certain depth to contain water, and also he must advise u a gd date to ON yr water feature/ fish tank. The search of ID/ contractor to do up my place: The search started in July when I have found my unit and exercised OTP. Engaged Feng shui master to audit my unit (with seller's permission) and he advised floor plan amendments. So with my new feng shui audited floorplan, I went to call up to the below IDs/ contractors: 1) Yeak: As I have confidence in his works cos I went to Rondy's place to view. I was sure he will do my place nicely. Yeak is very accomodating and even dropped by my unit when I had the Feng shui master there. He took some measurement and left shortly. I met him the 2nd time at his shop with the updated feng shui audited floorplan. Yeak is a very sincere, nice chap and he advised what to and is necessary. In a week time, I got his quote. 2) Henry (fm Impress 21): He was busy, but manage to meet me the very next day I called him. He was the very first 1 to meet me to discuss my quote. He was very comfortable to discuss and injected suggestions. I received his quote in a few days. 3) Roy (fm Inzen): Called him last mth, it took him slightly longer than a week for his quote. Met him 2 weeks ago to discuss abt my reno. As usual, these fews IDs/ contractors were all the famous pple here in Renotalk and between our discussion, had pple calling him to ask him to quote. Roy was also giving suggestions and comfortable to chat with. 4) Kenneth (fm Ideal Hse): Called him last mth and it took him a week to emailed me with quote. I was away for almost 3 weeks and only meet him 2 wks ago when I got back. He proved to be confident and comes with ideas and his quote was clear and giving me design ideas he would do up my place. His quote is the most expensive among the 4. But I have to give him credit for his time spend on some basic drawing on my floor plan and suggesting ideas. With his famous good works and assuring me he can help me do my reno nice nice while I was not in Sin, I have confident my place will be in good hands. I told him when I was away and decison has to be make, I will leave it to him to decide. He told me he will snap pic and email me and ask for my permission. But I trust his taste and decison making. So last nite, I met with Kenneth and signed with him. He told me he will come back to me with the 3D designs and schedule in 14 days. N if everything is ok, reno will start on 12 Nov (date advised by feng shui master). So finally my biggest purchase is done

Hi New, tks so much for the detailed info on the Blum types of drawers and carpentery! tks tks tks I am finally back in SIN this morning, tired.... been working fm early morning to nite last few days. Kopi, u must have the Nespresso machine and the milk foam maker! The new red model I saw at the showrm has the milk foam maker joint as 1. I have the machine in the plane all this while (with a tube milk foam maker tats makes lousy foam and always burn my fingers), but only get the milk foam maker (which is so easy to use and produce quick foam) last week in Tokyo (cos the plane voltage is 110V) and the moment I bot it, I offer my boss the cuppucino, and eversince then, he always ask for it! His guest also say Charemme, I did tot of combining the 2 toilets but 1 contractor reminds me that not advisable cos big fat ugly pipes may be visible after knocking down the walls between. And also tik of bath tub too, hehehhe but realised I tik it may became a white elephant cos I stay in hotels often and nvr use it!

Plus the milk foam maker, makes the perfecto cuppucino in the glass cup Yes, the master bedrm is smaller than the common bedrm, which I am also puzzled when I went to view the unit. And the fengshui master advised me to sleep in common bedrm. I also fine with it cos anyway I want to hack the wall of common bedrm to make a bigger rm. U shld see the master bedrm toilet, so tiny I always laugh whenever I see the blogs that have Rondy and New "poking" at each other

Does the drawers come with the runners, or do u call that tracks and soft close? Or I have to buy them seperately? I intend to get 4 for my tall unit for groceries, and a few for my cabinets. All in the kitchen. I did go to the showrm in Ubi to play with the drawers but cannot recall wat is S4 and S1. I will chk the broches at home cos they give me a whole bag of them! Yes, I am a FA but different fm commercial FA (SQ).... My boss bot his own private plane so I work for him and fly with him whenever he uses his plane. I am currently in Jakarta and will be flying daily fm tomoro, till sat at this point But he is a very nice boss, so I am ok, hehhhe....

I also very surprised when I went to view the unit and was told it is 82sqm! I was told by the seller each floor has got 1 unit of this size. The first thing that caught my eyes was it was spacious for a 3rm and I need the space to store all my barang barang, hehhe

Hi luckable, I do follow yr blog and must say yr reno is very nice. I have also approached Roy to quote for my place. He is 1 of my 3 shortlisted Ids. He is very approachable and contribute gd ideas. Yes, what attracted me to buy my unit is the big living hall, kanna conned liao, hehhehe But the real reason is cos this unit is next to my mum's blk, so can visit her everyday if I am in SIN and I don't have to travel to visit her. N not forgetting mum's home cooked food! But the MBR toilet really headache, super tiny! Ids have suggest to hack the toilet wall and 'eat' into my common bedrm space, which I am going to do that.

I have been lurking around since some time ago and very much enjoyed looking at the process of how everyone has transformed your house to beloved home. Like most in here, I have thousands and one questions in my head when it comes to renovation. But I must say the info that all forumers shared are very useful to me. And I always try to come in to Renotalk whenever I can afford the time. First of all, a very big thank you to "Rondy" for letting me view your house. It gives me some ideas of Yeak’s works. And not forgetting a lot of others like "Pinkpetter", “skyblue” and many others that shares with me where I can source for ideas. So here's my attempt at starting my very own t-blog. I am actually hesistant in starting a t-blog because I am not sure if I have the time to update it. I am hardly in SIN and as anyone could guess, I did not make it for my HDB 1st appt and in the end have to engage someone fm lawyer office to act on my behalf Just like most owners, I am currently going through the selection of IDs and contractors. Because of my many frequent flyings and not in SIN, it was very tough to meet and discuss the given quotes. It is very important for me to select or buy or arrange all things while I have days in SIN. And my ID must be someone very experienced, responsible and reliable person to manage my whole reno as I will not be around to check the process of the whole reno at all. We may be communcating via sms or emails most times and I may leave decision making to him on my behalf. Most important we must be on the same wavelength and he must know my taste, hehhehehe ….I have already started talking to several firms and is currently in the final stage of finalising 1 soon. Hummmm..... I may not be in SIN for the first appt. and I have got the Letter of Attorney fm the bank lawyer so that my mum can act for me. Does that means my mum has to bring a cheque to pay $ for 1. Payment for Stamp and Legal Fees 2. Lawyers Fee If thats the case, shld I call the bank lawyer before the 1st appt?

Hi, Hope some kind souls can enligtened me... I am a first time home buyer, bot a resale. Value $255K + COV $5K Total purchase $260K and taking the $11K (single grant) I have paid and exercise OPT , deposit and now I have paid a total of $5K to seller/ agent. Now waiting for agent to submit the form and wait for 1st appoint. When the 1st appoint come, what to I have to pay/ bring to HDB? 5% cash and can calculate for me the amount? I am kinda confused....Or what to pay for 2nd appoint. BTW, I am taking a bank loan. tks.
