when covered with full-length curtains, should be ok bah as for permit, tot only apply with HDB can le mah... ur ID or contractor will do it for u. think it is free. found some info in HDB website... Building work - Kitchen hope it helps

most of the lights are up, except chandeliers since we would nt want risk breaking them during carpentry work & repainting work. after lighting up e kitchen cabinets, feel there should b lights at the bottom of those top-hung cabinets... will there b too many lights then?? sigh... where to drill in more lighting points? our bad planning...

resort theme is usually abt dark wood, white cotton, daybed... correct if i'm wrong... just MHO mayb u should draft out ur budget but got to tell contractor/ID at least $5-10k less... (then can neg later mah. always got many extras to add on de ) from there get quotes, compared among the offers, then see which coy got better design/idea, then start 'juicing' the price from my own experience, get basic reno with one ID, then get another offer for separate items, like half/full height mirror, kitchen glass door, electric wiring svc, carpentry, lightings, kitchen/bathroom accessories... compare liao then u will noe if ur ID earn alot or nt... if the difference u can accept, then let contractor/ID handle all outsource, of course, this oso mean more work for u but e $$ saved is alot lor depend on wat u prefer lah. save $$ or less effort required when my ID brought us to shops for accessories shopping, me dont buy from the shops all. as me oredi do some homework (compare prices), if the shops can offer better then me buy. cos the ID sure got commission de mah, must b a win-win situation then me commit super cheapo hor, but bo bian, on very tight budget paisay, me too longwinded

Just snap this pic of our unhalf-done tv console... the dark glass panel & doors r nt up yet... me tot it is like over-tapered... but when compared to the floor tiles, e console is parallel leh... hmmm... think my eyes play tricks at least the cabinet does nt overcast on the tiny window & block out too much light

My kitchen cabinet is done by my ID as a standard package. other carpentry is not included so the prices r EX de lor!! no lah, all good design lah, just our pockets nt 'healthy enuff' so got to out-source another cheaper option. For these extra carpentry work, we just provide the designs we wanted and this cabinet maker offered. once cfm, then he provide these 3D pic. his contact, pm u liao... actually IS IT ok to mention his contact in t-blog... then me no need to pm everytime anyone can enlighten me, tks
