Hi, we engaged Mr Ong ( HP: 98277269 ) to run the wiring work for our new house. he is recommended by our friend who has just completed his reno... Mr Ong is very friendly, reasonable priced and a fast worker. When we cfm his svc to run our wiring, 2 days in advance b4 e installation of our false ceiling, he did the 1st phase in less than half a day! Very surprising and glad to get this reliable svc. Shall update our T-blog with pictures of lightings soon... You may ask for a quote to check

Ya, after taking grant, considered this is ur 1st HDB purchase, mean next time u wanna buy HDB NEW flat is Upgrader liao, not 1st timer. And when take new flat next flat, u need to 'return' the grant as levy. think for 3 rm is 30K (nt too sure, mine was 4rm, paid 40k ) SUPER BO HUA!! Imagine u bought at mkt value liao leh, still kanna the levy. For those 1st timer bought HDB new flat, oso will kanna levy in their 2nd new flat purchase. BUT hor, ppl paid lower than mkt value price for the 1st flat leh, oredi got earn when sold, so levy is still not too siong... so u see lah... where got fair to those buy resales de... make ppl tot got grant, very happy but the real suffering sink in later... very angry ok. ok.. me cool down so, IMHO, if u can afford the monthly repayment for 130k, try NOT to take grant. else u will get 'penalised' in the next purchase. Buy resales now, abt 2.5 yrs can sell liao. (even u both r nt thinking to sell so fast) by then u can apply for new flats... ballot ballot ballot (take ur time, relax) until have lah. cos u will still consider as 1st timer. HIGHER chance leh (90%) Please, please dont b like me me that time no one advise me... even my parents oso blur blur de... sigh... now suffer.

Our 'mega' kitchen sink after using the usual 2-bowls sink for many years, we decide to get one big sink to meet our 'dish washing' pattern we got a chopping board to fit half the sink... think should be useful when handling raw foods... My hubby's fav: Brandt Induction Hob - 2 zones This is not our most fav model but due to limited budget... ok this one will do lah. coming up is the grilles installation...

wow!! U so fast spam liao... me still typing half way New flat... premium 5rm We signed up a basic package with an ID firm and outsourced other items like carpentry, electricity/cabling, grilles, glass door etc... So think the designer nt so happy lah.. not much to earn from us Till now, most of the basic r done. click on pic to start slides.. after this, waiting for grilles and carpentry to be Up, 2nd coating of paint can then be done. The lightings will then be up... wait until so late to put up lighting as worried my 2 chandeliers will be damaged if put up too early... see how... maybe put up basic downlights 1st... hmm Picture of my chandelier... meant for my dining area Picture of wallpaper at the altar area Picture of L-shape sofa

Hi folks... Hope to share the reno experience of our new flat unit: 5rm corridor though it is not our 1st home, it is our 1st sensible reno... the last one we were both too young & badly informed on many things don say le, else bring up that old fire... First of all, our floor plan... very familiar to some as we can find many neighbours in this forum Here's a slideshow of the pictures taken on the day of Open Door Ritual Click on picture to start slides We hv chosen a corridor unit for the cave-in space in the living area (just outside the bedrooms) It will be our altar area. Other than the corridor windows, another flaw is the super tiny kitchen... can't do much for built-in oven or wat so ever... only basic is possible... sigh...

I agree too! so spacious! Lots of potential!! If u hack & blend kitchen & dining together, U can afford to make the future room to b an actual room
