I wrote this post with disappointment on the floor lamination of my home using Power Dekor flooring and like to share my bad experience here.
I took a few pictures to show some defects of the flooring. There are actually more defects but I can’t show all of them as it’s not easy to capture them using my camera.
All the bedrooms are fine except for the living room with defects in various parts. Flooring was over 4 years old.
I’ve called Power Dekor to address the defects and a representive came to my place to look at the flooring.
After his assessment, I was informed that the defects were due to my improper maintenance and will not be covered by the 15 years manufacturer's warranty. I was then quoted a few hundred dollars to repair the flooring in various parts which comes with only 1 year warranty for the repairs.
My point is, why only the flooring in different parts of the the living room was affected and not in the bedrooms at all. I don’t see the defect was due to improper cleaning or maintenance rather than the material and workmanship of the flooring.
I felt that I cannot trust the product anymore. Now I just have to make do with the ugly flooring.
Anyone using floor lamination care to share their experiences and conditions of the flooring after years of usage?
