  1. I think the seller's agent has got nothing to lose even if he does not get commission from you. The sale will still result in a good 2% from the seller to agent.
  2. Is it true that the installation of a 2nd water heater in HDB flat need HDB approval?
  3. Is it better to get new ones? Becos: 1. difficult to dismantle 2. after moving, difficult to assemble back Can share your experience? Thanks!
  4. Wat's WD-40? the sound indeed seem to come from the motor...it only started making noises after a few hrs and it does not go away after that until it is switched off
  5. yes. i agree. we should do buy/sell flat/private properties ourselves.
  6. Ceiling fan making noises - what can I do? So far, I checked with 1 shop that sell ceiling fan and they told me that the ceiling fans are life-time warranty but I have lost the receipts.
  7. Anyone repair ceiling cracks before? How do you do it?
  8. a side question...if they dismantle the wardrobe, who will be asssembling it back later?
  9. After reading all the posts, I am more terrified and I think it is better to get the professionalds to do it.

    Thanks for this good tip.
  13. Do you provide fixed line if u lease out whole HDB flat? Is this an incentive for would-be tenants? Would they need it?
  14. Just received brochures on it yesterday. Guess still many units unsold.
  15. Is it better to hold cash or property (2nd) now? This is referring to a 2nd property. Since we are heading for a deep recession (dunno how many years then can recover) and Citigroup predicting a 40% drop in properties prices. Rental income may also drop.
  16. If I buy the REITS now, it may also mean a 100% profits return when times are better. For properties, which has not really dropped (Citigroup is predicting a 40% drop), it will not give a 100% returns, but may correct up to 40%, if Citigroup prediction is correct.
  17. The amount used to buy a property could be used to buy Reits too. Reits may have potential to double or triple its value (present value) in the future compared to properties, which are still high. So which is better, buy property or Reits? What's your opinion?
  18. Economy heading for recession. Is it better to sell the 2nd property OR continue to lease it out? What's your opinion, GMC?
  19. Any one still believe HDB prices can still go up? Global recession is here.
