  1. For the safety mark, dun have to wait till you're about to install then check/inspect, it'll be too late. U can always ask the salesperson whether is it safety tested wf safety mark or not... If there is safety mark the saleperson would gladly show you the safety mark. Unless it's a non safety tested, then it'll not bear the safety mark. The safety mark will be clearly displayed on the rating label or on the box itself. Hope this pal
  2. Hi pal, Thanks for your enquiry again... Glad i'm able to help you out....hee... Okie, the controlled item is the LED driver, bulbs are not controlled. My LED downlights have the Safety Mark, and it's also covered with warranty. Warranty card will be given to you as well... I've Pmed you the price tags, hope that u'll save some bucks n buy me kopi.... :dribble:  pal
  3. Hi pal, Okie just to share, there are dimmable downlights in the market. If you wan a good LED downlight, then go for those that bear the safety mark. At least you know that it's safety tested and it's more reliable. Hope this helps. pal
  4. Hi pal, Thanks for your enquiry... Hv PMed you liao.... Hope u save some bucks n buy me kopi ya hee.... :dribble:  pal
  5. Hi Pal, Thanks for your enquiry and also thanks for your inputs on my thread. Appreciate very much... The price tags that u got is abit high wor..... Okie, let me share some of my inputs on downlights ya... Maybe u can consider my sugg, hope it's useful to you. You can consider using mixture of downlights (LED plus Normal downlights) If you use all LED downlights it'll cost you a bomb.... As for normal downlight, why dun you consider using the 1x E27 bulb instead of using 2x tubes. Price tag is also cheaper as compare to using 2x tubes type. Maintanance wise is also easy, anybody can change the bulbs when its spoil, just need to unscrew/screw the bulb. Brightness is also as good. Recently, I've just replace 21 nos. of downlight using E27 bulbs for my customer.... The place turn out to be very bright after changing them. (you can read abt it on my previous thread) LED downlights are more for long hours operation. If you really need it, and u're willing to spend that kind of money. Then choose an area to add a few LED downlights instead, this way u'll save a bit on your pocket... hee.... hence you can use some of the saving to buy me kopi hahaha.... :dribble: Make sure you get those LED downlights that bear the safety mark there are many many LED downlight in the market that dun carry this safety mark. As i've mentioned before the LED driver is a control item and need to be safety tested. This is bcos the LED driver spoil easily, so when there is a safety mark, u'll know that it's safety tested n u'll have a piece of mind. At least when it's safety tested, the driver will be more realiable. Imgine if your LED spoil/faulty who to look for? will there be charges if they come and service yr LED downlight? The tubes/bulbs for downlights are quite costly as compare to those normal bulbs/tubes. So do consider this factor as well. Hope this sharing helps. pal
  6. Hi Matteo, Thanks for your enquiry... Okie, here's what i can share with you.... Both the ceiling fans and drivers use for LED are controlled items in SG. So both of the controlled items must be safety tested and bear the saftey mark. Of course, there are many many LED driver without the safety mark, which alot of ppl will not know/care much about bcos these safety tested products more costly as compared to those that r not safety tested..... Do consider the below factors if you wanna buy from abroad, since nowadays our home is so expensive, do you wanna take the risk? Authentic? Durable, reliable? Voltage compatiable? Any warranty? If so, will they support you if your item breakdown? Is it safety tested? If item breakdown who to go to for repair? replace the whole item? What happen if the new product is not working how to exchange? So it's up to individual whether to buy from abroad or buy from local.... Some will risk and some will rather be safe then sori.... At the end of the day, those item will be in your home whether will it be safe or not, reliable or not, durable or not nobody can tell hee.... Hope this sharing pal
  7. Hi pal, Thanks for your enquiry.... I'm impress that u're able to recall the model after 10 years... hee.. Normally, ppl will not recall/remember the ceiling fan model after a while.... Okie, whether to change to the same brand or not, it's up to individual. Some may want to but some would like to see if others are better off. There are many other make/model in the market to choose from. Whether u're comfortable with the current design from the same brand or you'll want to try other brands with different design. I've PMed you liao... Hope I'm able to help you out. pal

  13. Hi pal, Thks for your enquiry.... I dun know who told you that 6 inches downlights are more for condo and not HDB.... Basically, whether condo or HDB doesn't matter, the size of the unit is abt the same. So it's not true tat 6" downlight is for condo unit, more downlights will be needed if you intend to use smaller downlights. Bcos smaller has limited space to put higher wattage bulbs.... So whether to use bigger or smaller downlights it all depends on the desgin and also the space where the downlight is located. eg. if your L-box width is only 6 inches, u can't use a 6" downlight rite... kekeke... Just to share wf you, I've juz change one HDB unit downlights from 4 inches to 6 inches, as the 4 inches downlight can't lite up the area well. Initaily, my customer thought it was too big when i sugg the 6 inches downlight, but after installing it look just nice and bright.... Hope tis helps pal
  14. Hi pal, u're most welcome. Let me know if u need my help, PM me ya... pal
  15. Hi pal, The light kit will not wobble if the fan is balance, as mentioned the light kit is attached to the base of the ceiling fan. So if the light kit wobbles means that the ceiling fan is wobbling. There are many factor that contribute to the unbalance fan. Installer, fan blades, mounting...etc Hope this helps pal
  16. Hi pal, If the light kit is wobbling means the fan is not balance, bcos the light kit it attached together with the fan. Your installer didn't balance it for you. So it's best that you ask your installer to balance it for you. Hope this helps pal

  18. Hi Jerry, Thanks for your enquiry  FYI, the motor use for ceiling fan and standing fan is totally different... So don't relate them together... I've PMed you liao, I'll help you solve your confusion....so that you can save some bucks and buy me kopi..... :dribble:  pal
  19. Hi pal, Thanks for your enquiry... If u're using downlights only. That means yrs a false ceiling rite. Keke... U can install ceiling fan on false ceiling, provide that the ceiling fan is not install under the downlights, else u'll hv lots of shadow. And also if u dun mind tat the ceiling fan being too low. If u need my help do PM me, I'll try my best to help u out. pal
