hahaha keeper888, Are u thinking too much from my thread above? i'm just kicking a bit of fuss while keeping this thread alive nia. hahaha. Everyone have different level of HOPES. Wanting to win is also a kind of HOPES that keeps ppl going and moving. Without HOPES there are no motivation. If you see a guy winning a few times continuously and feeling motivated and hoping to win some more. Is that too much? (Thats normal) Of course when loses some HOPES, ppl tense to get dishearted/sad/frustated/kicking some fuss. It's part of life !! (Nothing to do with fengshui) To me i thinking kicking a bit of fuss after loses some HOPES is NOT too much, even winning a $30(last 3 digit) from Big Sweep is also a winning. Anyway if u see my previous post i did not mention anything abt my wishing elephant. What i meant by lack of luck here means i don't have such luck in Big Sweep nia.

So Sad, I didn't win in the Big Sweep this time round. Seems like i'm still lack of luck.

I thought there are ppl who put "PI CHIU" , "QILIN" , "Zhao Cai Mao" some put symbolic item "Fu Gui Wu Di Qian"

But i see the way their placing sample is design like an altar. I try not to make it like an altar, i wanna make it look like a decoration item. so it won't spolit the theme of my home.

Kari, i think your is a new flat ba. The switch outside the window ledge is isolator, can't do anything abt it then. If you electricity bill is not high then never mind la. If the switch is reachable then OFF it, if aircon is not in use. For window cleaning, just after renovation i use soap water to clean it. Wipe it 3-4 small pail of water then clean leh.

seems like the water meter only detect constant flow. If your total PUB bill for your 4rm flat doesn't exceed $100, should be OK ba.

My pub bill is about $70+ include electricity, water and gas for my 4rm flat. Maybe you guys should try it out also. Test 1 After turning off the aircon, if i kept the switch(for aircon) ON, i check the meter outside it is running fast. Test 2 then i tried turning off the switch but leaving the aircon plug there, the meter outside is running a bit slower but to me still quite fast. Test 3 then i tried turn off the switch and plug out the aircon plug, the meter outside is running significately slower than before.

Water Saving tips I've done some testing on the PUB water meter, found this loophole (already been known for ages) Method 1. Referring to those 2 knob tap use in bathroom. When u didn't turn off the tap fully, u will see the water dripping. The technique is let it drip(must not be constant flow, u must see droplet of water dripping) then put a pail below it. Let the droplet of water drip into the pail. If you are working 8am - 5pm. let say u leave home at 7am by the time u reach home it's already 6pm. Total hour is 11hour. 11hours of drip definitely enough to fill a pail with water with water. You could make use of the time you sleep and let it drip. If you can't stand the dripping noise just close the bathroom door or fill the pail with some water then the dripping sound won't be too obvious. How the test is carried out. Before I let it drip I went outside to write down the water meter reading, when i came back i check it again. the reading is the same as before i leave home. But when i go into my bathroom, my big pail is almost full of water. When is the best time to use it. Before you goes to work let it drip. by the time you come back it is already almost full or half full.(depend on the frequency of the dripping) You could use it that amount of water to wash clothes, mop your floor, wiping or pour into toilet bowl after urinating(you save 3litre of water everytime u do that).

I'm cleaning it once a week(for one month) but i think i would maintain that frequency. I afraid that it would accumulate dust if i bath it once a month. Somemore i got sensitive nose.

I found this cheap and good stuff to clean the solid surface or basin etc. From 3M. Have anyone of you try this out for cleaning your laminate? I ended up buying this while looking for sofix@offer price. But i test it out today, the feeling is not bad. Giving me a clean feeling.

Anyway my power drill with Hammer function brand is SKILL 550W bought at around $60. Went to suntec carrefour on sunday wanting to buy sofix @offer price but only left non offer one. So while having this dilemma, we run into this brand call Bona. Spray onto the floor then wipe it. Just try it out today, ok lah, giving a clean feeling to my feet.

I came across this method some years back( forgotten where) After cooking an egg. Don't throw away the eggshell. Crush it then place it over the burner then put some on the bottle cap. place it on the path of the ants. Then after 1-2 day, the ant would go away by itself. Never try it b4, so i never know whether does it works.

Hi DoubleJ, After smoke out using KAM BOON HIONG. Maybe u could get some reed diffuser and put it in your living room and other rooms. Comes in lavender, sandalwood... I'm using it at home too the smell is very pleasant, as good as air freshener. Yesterday saw it selling at suntec, near to carrefour. Maybe you should try it too(one bottle can last 3-4 month). I think they selling at $18.

I'm using non-inverter aircon (system 3) Sharp plasma cluster.

I would suspect (3) or (4). For (3) sofa, it would be good if you could thoroughly check if there is any dead rat or cockroaches in it. Sometimes during storage or delivery. Roaches or rat would hide in it after that they can't escape and due to no food and no drink, they died in it. As their body decompose the smell would goes up in the air. For (4) Paranormal, as u mentioned that your unit is vacant for 4 yrs, it would be surprised if any soul would take over it. But if you got pray the 4 corner before you move in to your house everything should be OK. If you didn't maybe you could try buy some "KAM BOON HIONG" and smoke your house (every corner of your house even in the toilet) Please Do that before going out unless you wanna suffocate in it (Close all the window) It would not only get rid of any pest, some said even spirit. But the bad point is the smell of KAM BOON HIONG would stick to your furniture, clothing instead. Maybe you should try it. You could buy it from any incense shop. CHEERS!!!

keeper888, Your wishing elephant seems like putting very high up on the shelf. If you wanna take it down to gave it a bath, wouldn't it be difficult?

Warped usually happen in plywood. Some contractor would just turn the wood upside down then after sometimes it would warp till staighten.

Actually after some thought i found that it is not so nice to put my wishing elephant on the dining table. So i thought of putting it on a shelf. Yesterday, i went to ikea to look for a shelf for my wishing elephant. Thought of buying a lack wall shelf at first but the length is too long. So after consulting the ikea helpdesk, they tell me the particular section where most of the shelf is kept. Bought it at $49.90 (with bracket). So Today i start to measure the length according to the fengshui length shown in the 8way website. Starts Drill holes and DIY everything myself..my wife help out too. Dunno how to describe it, it actually give our house a new look new feel. (Like an altar probably.. ) I think my wishing elephant likes his new home. Today I won the starter prize and consolation prize Hope for the better always.
