the white one is 531... the art clock is from Living Instinct at IFC, $300++ they have a whole wall of art clocks of various design and size
-
it's cambio, $148nett each, actually we get all the colors, the other two are in our bedrooms the bench is $531 after 10% off can, check pm
-
my ID did the table for me.. i dont quite get what you mean by integrated basin, basically, i have seen one of the unit done by my ID use caesarstone for all their kitchen top, but the basin is those stainless steel one. if you want the basin/top to be in one piece, i doubt so, even yes, there will be merging gaps like granite... very soft pu leather with stainless steel legs
-
no view but noise only, haha.....but at least not blocked from living from MBR is this suitable for deco above the sofa? good to have an additional matching laminate frame?
-
the chairs ($100+ each, choice of four colors, black, white, red, orange) & the bench($500+) are from mondi, standard list price @ 10% off, didn't manage to bargain any further the dining table ($1000++) is custom built one, caesarstone top (supposingly the best that combines the beauty of solid surface top --easy to maintain-- and granite --very hard n durable--), wooden bottom with mirror (thought of using stainless steel in the beginning but that will be even more expensive...)

1. Search for the ID We started search for an ID since we exercise the OTP in August 08. Too early right? Well, it turned out to be just nice. After staring at the floor layout for a few days and reading some deco magazines, we came out our own design. Then we proceeded to talk to the ID firms at IMM. Day1: weiken, Gplan, u-home (as they are most mentioned here and they are at IMM), 30mins to just explain what i want and then followed by some sort of discussion. GPlan was immediately out as the guy appeared to be extremely new and it took me considerably longer time to explain my own design to him. whatever it is, we just cant communicate effectively. u-home seems not interested and said will get back to me in Sep, just one month b4 collecting the keys. We may seem too kan qiong to them... weiken, on both occasions, no designers were available to entertain us As you can see, we were extremely disappointed on the day. Day2: some other IDs at IMM nothing much in the end, just that we were almost desperate. I was tired of spending 30mins or so every time just to explain our design. Day3: Then we met with Ken from Gracious Design. Our conversation went smoothly and so did the following 10+ sessions. We really value and appreciate his time and effort spent on us, without even mention about contract/deposit at all. His experience guided us through in deciding on the final design. Meanwhile, we also received quotation from HooBee and U-home (yes, we went back again!). HooBee's price was very reasonable, but somehow they seems to be extremely busy all the times. U-home's quote was very competitive and the designer was nice. But at last, it is the trust and confidence that wins. Specially, Ken insisted on his pricing and put the contract in risk even when i showed him that others offered a much lower price. He insisted that his quote is already the cheapest he can give and is absolutely worth the $$ for their standard of quality. Well, i trusted him and gave him the contract. No regrets so far. 2. The reno process I have to say that the whole process went smoothly except some minor hiccups with the carpentry. And here comes the lesson. We bought an art clock and indicated that it must be embedded into the sliding door. The message was somehow lost and we saw a plain wood panel. So the carpenters came to modify it. It looked terrible after the modification based on my instructions and they have to re-work again and again...and the lesson is NEVER NEVER give instructions to the workers, it's their/or your ID's job and professionalism to figure out HOW to do it, instead you should just describe/specify the final appearance. 3. The final WOW to be updated ....photo not taken yet

Any One Use Rinnai Rh - Katana Hood?
m12345y replied to lazurite's topic in Electronics & Electricals
fyi, after using them for a few days, the rb-2cg is excellent, the katana hood is so so in performance but at least you won't hit your head any more... -
If you are looking into miele washing machines, please pay attention to its cycle time. I was put off after been told it took 2 hour to wash...... bought brandt wfk1248a + vap831e instead btw, i was also told that the honeycomb drum is good in the sense that it's very gentle which means if you have all the high class clothes, yes, honeycomb drum will care them better. On the other hand, if you just wash jeans etc, normal drum may wash them cleaner.

Anyone know where to buy stainless steel table legs/frames? I am thinking of building a solid surface top or caserstone/quatz dining table...
-

Any One Use Rinnai Rh - Katana Hood?
m12345y replied to lazurite's topic in Electronics & Electricals

mine is the smallest EA of 126sqm, sys1 will be on occasionally therefore non-inverter. I went to the IMM shop. all the while, i think gain city is the shop to go until i saw the replies in this thread:P anyway, i also got quote from hong tar, price wise slightly lower, but considering the free 5yr warranty, gc is still cheaper.
-
Hi Bros, I am very likely to sign up with gain city to install the following Mitsubishi Heavy aircons 1. System4 Inverter for bedrooms, 12k + 9k x3 for S$3761 2. System1 non-inverter single-split 24k btu for S$1477 with all the piping upgrades and with 5 year warranty. I have the impression that the sales guy is very firm on the pricing and does not seem to be negotiable. Is it so? Do you guys managed to bargain certain amount?

My reno will start in nov, idealy i should start shopping now for kitchen: hood & hob, oven, wash machine, dryer and accessories sofa & dining table set & mattress toilet accessories air con What are the things that are likely to have a promotion during the christmas sale?
-
We deal with ken, project manager. Don't know the design part is passed to whom... Anyway, ken seems to be quite experienced, and most importantly, we can talk! their pricing is a bit steep, but we managed to agree on a comfortable price though we have not signed on the dotted line yet. Will update you all if we use them ... reno starts from nov4th

but given the same usage pattern (i.e. how often you open the doors), I suppose a 4-tick fridge still saves you $$ comparing with a similar 3-tick one.

The quotation i received does not include re-wiring. ID just said sth like $10/ per light installation. so what does re-wiring exactly refer to? I am thinking of install a few two way switched light, does this need re-wiring? btw, my flat come with all concealed wiring, will it be eazy to change to two-way switch for dining/living/bedrooms? thanks.
