Could this be the uncle who change the hinges for the metal gate...in the event you guys are approached pls check carefully when he mentioned abt the security of changing the hinges of the gate.. he will not inform you of any payment until the hinges are changes...keep saying it's approved by hdb a few times..keep "ngeh ngeh" hdb here and there...then proceed to show u on 1 hinge as to how easy it is to open the metal gate etc.. then there was no payment mentione watsoever...by the time u say ok change adn it is done..he asked "u mean u dun knw hv to pay ah ??" ...then no choice have to pay lor.. there are few occasions when someone "ding dong" the door bell @ hm...but by the time we time we take a peek, there is normally no one @ the door..it normally happens in the aftnn.. anyone encounter the same??

wow..read the article well well.. was kinda disappointed abt the reply given by various authorities 1 mentioned tat residents are being educated abt crime prevention measures.. wonder wat hve they taught us so far ... the only thing i knew/noticed so far was the notice tat was pasted at the lift landing .. the other 1 mentioned that "security factors are carefully considered in the design ..." hmmm... anyway.. lets jus hope tat wif this article, it will hinder non-residents from "invading" our blocks & garden by khim's missy...

So agree with the restricted access to the sky garden...as for the teen delinquents, they dun seem to fear the MIB tat much nowaday I feel...MIB always issues warnings ony but then nothing major which will deter these boys fr keeping away...

well..the missy at hm has been asking me abt it.. so m telling her i m gathering information in here.. before agreeing to anything.. she's easily swayed by tis and tat .. m thinking tat it's nt tat visible too.. cos if they wan to break in, they hv means and ways to do it.. as for the vandalism, well..... the only way to stop is basically to stop them fr gg up to the garden.. rem how they use to block the entrance to the garden before it was fully operational.. well maybe they can install access gates at the same locations...

hmm.... seems like i hv to go and c which level install the security thing anyway.. y did u say tat it's an eyesore or even a magnet..

thanks meepok & cutebaby i called the company ystday to check.. apparently they r nt charging for the devices currenly regardless of where u r residing .. contradicting... cos their staff who knocked the door said that it's a community service given to residents in our neighbourhood.. and he said there's nothing to be paid to the company.. only tat our residential phone line charges will be abt $30++ a mth .. but the gal who talked to me on the phone told me that i have to pay $38 to the company every mth and i have to be bonded to them for a min term of 3 yrs. m still considering abt it .. anyway, i was at the garden on national day the other day gosh..so many ppl.. and loads of teenagers who apparently i believe dun even stay there.. kinda upset to see the vandalism being done to our block... i also feel that our garden safety features is not very good..i find the railings kinda low for children.. kinda easy to fall over ... anyway.. i think u guys in here share the sentiments as me abt the security and vandalism issues... i read abt u guys mentioning of allowing access to the garden only to residents of block of 79.. which i think is gd.. any updates how things are??

hi there.. I am a new member for tis forum.. I am residing at blk 79D.. Have u guys encountered ppl from a particular security company offering "community service" by installing free security systems... cos they "ding dong" my door the other time ... and how tis guy blah blah abt the crime rates in our estate etc .. me jus curious.. have been a follower of tis forum but no one seems to post anything abt this need to knw how u guys feel abt installing the security system thing .. m having mixed feelings abt it
