  1. hey fellow neighbour (or ex-neighbour ) Congrats and hope you have a fuss-free smooth renovation! Cant wait to see your transformed home! Been to the estate before and really like the green tranquil environment the estate offers. Cheers, Sunset Way (who is residing at Hillview now)
  2. Day 8 of renovation 31st May. Starting to see the enclosure of wet kitchen taking form. Side view of the wet kitchen Another view of the wet kitchen with maid's room and toilet at the far end. Looking out into the side garden from wet kitchen.
  3. Yes it is very messy and disruptive but I have nowhere to move to. Therefore, I decide to stay put and bear with the renovation. My contractor was telling me today that the completion should be in mid-July. Still quite a long way to go for me.
  4. Hey jumbopanther! Congrats on your purchase! Hope to see pictures of your place soon! Have a smooth renovation! I am having a live-in renovation at my corner terrace currently.
  5. Love what you did to your balcony! Nice! Oh there is a cat on your bed! So cute! Is that a boy or girl? I have four cats at home. Three girls and a boy!
  6. Hey san20sg, Congrats on your purchase! Nice functional layout you have there! Cheers, sunset way
  7. Progress to the new wet kitchen.
  8. Day 3 of Renovation... Kitchen is all bare now. Yay! Took this shot of the bathroom from standing outside the window lol guess a bit more hacking to go! Bricks and cement arrived!
  9. Day 1 of Renovation: 21st May 2012 The guy who came to saw off the iron fence was very experienced! He cut through the low wall and it will be hacked by the guys later. The concrete beneath the floor tiles in the kitchen is so tough that it took a while for the guy to hack. The guy cut off the portion of tiles to be hacked as I will be keeping the existing floor tiles for the new laundry area right beside the back boundary wall. Bamboo blinds at the laundry area were taken down as they cant be used after the renovation.
  10. Current kitchen and this will be the dry kitchen. Current laundry area but it will be the wet kitchen.
  11. Some pre-renovation pictures to share... Fence beside the main gate and letterbox. Plan to create a side gate over here. Will be hacking the low wall at the patio and then lay chengai decking Outdated bathroom tiles.
  12. The plan is to renovate the bathroom as the wall and floor tiles are very very dated. The massive work will be in the kitchen and backyard. The current kitchen will be the dry kitchen and I will be installing air-con in it. That will be ideal for baking! Part of the backyard will be enclosed to be the wet kitchen where the heavy cooking takes place! The space after the new wet kitchen shall be the laundry area and perhaps storage. The new floor plan;
  13. Hello everyone! For those who have read my previous thread "An EM situated amongst greenery", that place is actually my parents'. I have moved to Hillview Avenue (a complete new environment to me) and did no renovation when I moved in. The house was in a liveable condition. However, the plan to renovate parts of the house materialise when the current kitchen is starting to disappoint in terms of functionality and storage. Therefore, I decided to have a live-in renovation and bear with the noise and dust for the next 5 weeks. (estimated by my contractor). First of all, The floor plan. My place is the corner unit and this is the floor plan of the first level. The plan is to renovate the bathroom, kitchen and the backyard area. No change to the rest of the house on the first level.
  14. Hi EoneKhaled, Thanks for the compliment! Yeah I shall take more pictures of the place since I have moved out of my parents' place 1 year ago. Will post more pictures soon! Cheers, Sunset Way
  15. Since I stay at Sunset Way, I do have a small collection of different EMs in the estate. This angular layout is located at those high-rise blocks and for those who love having a small garden outside their home, it has a rather long corridor for potted plants. I got to know about this layout when I was walking around the estate admiring other units and saw a 2nd storey unit with Peranankan windows and decor at the balcony. Then the female owner came out to her balcony and saw my brother and I admiring her decor and so she invited us up to her place! That was then I knew such interesting layout exist in my estate! Anyway, just for sharing! Would be contributing more as I do have a collection of floor plans
