  2. Not really la, we actually carried two of these! Haha. Hand carried them in big plastic bags and only abt 1+kg each. just had to be especially careful cos scared might crack it along the way. But it was worth it! If you ever find them in vietnam - ho chi minh, check the diff stalls that sell these cos the quality and workmanship differs.
  3. I got that from Vietnam many moons ago. Can't really rem the price liao, bought too much misc stuff then. But if I were to guess, shld be abt 50-100?
  4. Haha, that's interesting. But to satisfy your curiosity, actually it's quite easy cos my wife and i will just pull the bed out and we'll slot in the bedsheet from both sides.
  5. Thanks to all for the compliments. Hey risis, got the mitsu projector for abt 1k plus during a sale and got an onkyo receiver and speakers to acc it. Can PM me if you need more info. Just fyi and a rough gauge, u should be able to project an 80"-100" for a 3m distance.
  6. Yup, it's created right outside the toilet so that we have a bigger shower area. It's behind this feature wall in the MBR (u can see a white+light green striped door behind, it's before that door):
  7. total reno cost (excl electrical, lightings and accessories) is about $32k~. Quite a bit went to the doors, windows and grilles cos whole house had to be redone. =(
  8. Hee, no la, not pro enough to draw those. We got the flowery stickers from ikea tamp, think it's where u can find all their stickers and wall paintings. The 'plate' design with the hugging couple was from vietnam.
  9. Thanks all again for the kind replies. Yup Bluezing, all the best to your reno under Summit too. Btw, here are some pics for those keen on a home cinema/projector set up. Room is small but can still squeeze in a little enjoyment for frens and family. Mitsubishi projector With lights on: Lights off for Action! (taken from ice age 3 trailer on hd)
  10. Thanks all for your compliments. I'm still thinking of ways to spice up the bedroom, seems quite spartan now. Doing things a little by little. We haven't even got our clock though having already stayed in for about 4 months. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can spice things up, feel free to drop them here! Btw roamca, total reno cost (excl electrical, lightings and accessories) is about $32k~. Quite a bit went to the doors, windows and grilles cos whole house had to be redone.
  11. Old and new MBR MBR bed, still haven't decide where to place wedding potrait MBR basin behind feature wall
  12. Living room to kitchen Old and new kitchen with hacking done DIY design on side wall of living room
  13. It's been sometime since I've updated my T-blog and frankly, I've almost forgotten about it till my friend mentioned to my about the website. Well, have been really busy with wedding and work. Just had time to settle down and here's some photos for an update. Sorry I'm not a great photographer and some photos don't really do my ID justice. Will update again when I get a better angle of things. For those who had PMed me, sorry I missed them. Here are the photos you had requested. Btw, my wife and I are pleased with the work done by Summit and Alex has been very professional and prompt in getting back to us, even after we've made payments. Old and new entrance: Old and new living room
  14. Hey snoopy_tiong, there's actually already a thread under summit in this forum with a no of posts/pix from previous owners who had engaged summit. check out this link: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?sh...8278&st=360 Mine is also in progress under summit. Good luck on your reno.
  15. That was really a great price. "It's a sony..." Now eyeing for any promos on beds, sofas and aircon. Any tips?
  16. Think if it looks really nice for your room divider, why not? It's not practical in the sense that it's mostly aesthetic. otherwise if there's not much use of the space there, should be fine. I've seen some T-blogs here that use string curtains too. Can always change when it's dirty.
  17. Congrats! How about placing it in the MBR? Or can try selling off at hardwarezone/VR Zone or www.xtremeplace.com. Another option is to check the other prizes given by Star Furniture and do a swap with another winner if there happens to be something that you need i.e.barter trade? Good luck!
  18. It was last week and ended over the weekend but they have it quite regularly at expo. Think the one before that was just a month away. Monitor the papers and look out for any of such offers. Good luck!!
  19. Saw your Sony TV on your T-Blog, it's fantastic-looking! Always liked sony screens but too bad beyond budget. Haha, not exactly an LG fan but so happens there was a sale on their TV. Got it for $1400 for their limited sets. For the fridge and washing machine, have been eyeing them for sometime already (for potential buyers, it's 740 and 865 respectively). Did some bargaining on them though. Standard delivery charges at $30. Now still have many more items to go...
  20. Finalised on the following items during the recent HN roadshow at expo. Now looking out for aircon and other smaller items. Hope to post some pics of the completed tiling works soon. LG LCD 47" (LB9R) LG FRIDGE (GR-M492YLY) LG WASHER AND DRYER (WD-14331AD)
  21. More updates... Electrical is already in progress and tiles are already in. Kitchen storeroom has also been hacked! Fiancee and I were astounded by how different our kitchen looks like. Think the ex-storeroom there blocked too much light. The wiring, getting ready for the L-box to be up. The kitchen after the storeroom was hacked. The materials and tiles that came in.
  22. Thanks for the suggestions! Agree that the string curtain doesn't make a practical choice. It was our initial choice but now studying other options too, possible a feature there or something. Actually wanted a fish tank cum cabinet there but it eats into the budget. =(
