I did mine without handles. My ID had it made in such a way that the bottom of the cabinets are with 45degrees 'slope'. Pros: look nicer without handles. Cons: more expensive to make it with the 45degrees slope.

Well, my ID quote me $600 for the painting while the paints we supplied to them (my aunt is in the paint shop biz, so got free paints from her). If we were to use the paints supplied from the contractor, it will be $1,200. Very expensive lor. We painted the house with the help of hubby's KPT 'khakis', spent 1½ weekends and got it done. Very satisfied with the works indeed. But got to buy the khakis dinner but still worth it and most importantly, they enjoyed it. Haha...

Only saw in the brochure that the oven is made in Italy. They did not mentioned about the hoods and the hobs though.

Hey, that's wat the citygas promoter told us on 11-Aug too. So weird. We are now comtemplating between Rinnai or Le Germania. Should be getting a Rinnai oven.

The promoter from City Gas say Rinnai is from Japan. Yes, la germania from italy. I will be using it very frequently, that is heavy usage. Rinnai is cheaper in comparison to La Germania but still expensive to Ellane and Fujioh. Thats to say that with 3 rings of fire, food will be cooked faster and thus saving more gas. Well, with experiences from my mum, she said that La Germania is good and durable. Turbo is not lasting, etc. replacement: Thats why I am looking at one that is of standard size. Thanks for the info, leen. Well, at least thats not for me. I am very into FengShui. I purposely asked my designer not to put the stove and the basin directly opposite of each other, its away from each other. Why Rinnai no good?

No lah, we used the back of the screw driver to knock gently on the tiles. Yes, we did use some coins to aid in the check. We actually used the back of the screwdriver and knocked gently and we used the coins to verify. What to do? Only by doing this step then we are sure that the floor is good and safe. Seriously, can deduct the money from the payment, since we are the QC inspector and we should be paid as well?

Ya lor, just so happpened that I stepped on one hollow tile on sat, so we decided to do a through check on every inch of the tile. No doubt its very tedious, but have to do it. we spent more that 2hrs checking on the tiles. So tiring. Else, in future, there might be a possibility that the tiles will "pop out" from the slot. Better be careful on this part.

Ordered the washing machine from the HN sale on last sun. We took the Samsung WA10V5 (8kg), that cames with $70 NTUC vouchers. This is a good buy in comparison with Best Denki, GAB and Ban Kim Chuan (in Bedok). Anyone know whether Samsung washing machines good or not? Any recommended brands for the water heater? Yesterday, we did a check on our floor tiles too. Found 10 tiles hollow in the entire house. Haiz. Had complained to my ID, they will do a change of the tiles this week.
