hmmm.....(jus my humble thought, hope u dun mind!) u got 2 different laminates for kitchen cabinets? maybe use the same laminate thru out for better consistency? i not sure how different the wet and n dry kitchen look like though. my floor laminate also from Power Dekor, the elephant brand right? but my color is 'chestnut'. jesperbg also chose 'Java', same as u. from what i heard from him, Java uses a newer and better technology so good choice u got there!!

Anyway we've moved in (sort of), with no TV and internet connection yet, we have been spending our time cleaning and unpacking and more DIY DIY Part 3 Cabinets below Windows **** Area We've been quote at $1k to $2.5k to change the laminates or the doors and we thought tat's really too exp! esp when the cabinets are still working so well, jus tat the colors are abit off hence hubby decided to do some magic on them Total Damage: less than $250(for 2bedrms and living area) + 2 weekends + some cursing and swearings from Hubby Before After With new curtains; i chose half length curtains so as not to cover hubby's hardwork hee

wtc it will really varies. for my case, my entire house lightings is less than $300 when some got just a dining light for more than $500. my entire sanitary wares for 2 toilets are less than $500 when some can get a rainshower alone for more than $400. really depends on what u like and ur budget. looks over functionality or?

growler me too, Uncle seems to be avoiding my calls. believe it or not, there are still rectifications not done, its been almost a mth since my reno completed and i sorta give up liao. even Jason also abit bochup abt my hse now. the last call i get from Uncle is to pay him the last payment and tats it. 1mth no contact him le. somehow i feel, he only bother abt those big big reno lor, we small fry nia~~ all the best and hope Uncle will turn up tomoro at ur hse!

i think e drainage change is a must, it'll cause u a lot of prob and it'll look v weird! my progress was v slow too, i went down twice everyday, noon and evening. and i know they work 2 days rest 3 days tat kind, was quite upset and called up Uncle then things start to move a bit faster. got to nudge Uncle a bit, say got certain 'good' dates ur FS master say must meet. hehe

hi Gaku, i would suggest you ask Uncle to amend all the mistakes else u would really regret everytime u see it. For us also, we soft heart and tell uncle we accept how the tiles were done in my MBR toilet. The head tiler also gave us a 'reason' why they were layed vertically instead of horizontally and so we sorta accept it. but when i view the pics of smallboy's kitchen and familyof4's kids' bathroom tiles (we all used the same tiles) , they are laid horizontally like how we wanted it. now i still feel kinda sad lor. i think the head tiler was just trying to convince us to accept then. so i think u better call up uncle and tell him u r very upset and also hope tat the progress can be alot faster! ask him to rectify all the changes also. seems like most of ur stuffs r done incorrectly, be firm lah. else more n more 'mistakes' will jus piled up like our case and towards e end u can only 'slowly accept'. all e best!

oh mine! i din know it was intended not to be sealed! my hob actually move abt when i cook then i realised it was not sealed at all, tot it was a mistake! and quickly ask Jason to rectify.... he also din tell me it was intended wor, and now it was sealed until tight tight. now i am worried it will damaged my table top if i change e hob.....

i met Jason when i was asked to choose laminates and paint color. shd be soon for ur case bah.

pinkdreamy, i saw e Ariston white hob n hood at Ikea Tampines, shd be for sale bah. wakzool, i also hv water seepage on one of my living wall towards the corridor, HDB came and they insist tat e painter din paint properly and have quite a heated discussion, and they keep pushing us to Town Council when it was Town Council who refer us to them..... We then ask e painters to come in n repaint tat whole wall again, and the seepage mark still there lor. Gonna call them up again. I really cant stand e way HDB works.....
