The ID firm i got took me half a year to process (ie. changed second ID as first one fresh from 'sch' wasted 3 months and 2nd one is a LATO (Little action talk only) took another 4 months b4 commence reno job.) WHY DO I CARRY ON WITH THE PACKAGE? cos already paid $2k+ (in rush) deposit! So no choice, got to carry on... Renovation supposed to commence b4 X'mas 08 but delay until 3 weeks b4 CNY 09 then start work! And now yet complete! I need to before things will move. Have also called the boss few times to update him on his 'excellent' services provided yet things did not improve. Boss came out with excuses not to come down to the renovation site to see for himself when I challenged him to come and see for himself. End of day, take your time, craft the contract towards your advantage. Be more critical in the contract negotiation... demand for penalty for failure to meet deadline. Must sign on the contract!

Hey just wanna share on point 1). I just overlay both bathroom about 1.7m width by 3m length. ID quoted about $900 for that job, however I semi-DIY them at half price! Mine is a new BTO FLAT, hate the flooring so i overlay them - cheaper than hacking as new flats cant touch the flooring for 3 yrs. 1) Bought Floor tiles + 2 x 50 kg cement = approximately $250/- (at HAFARY located @ Defu Lane, still got 10% discount) 2) Employ freelance worker @ $100 per day ( 8 - 5) , took 2 days to settle!

My renovation has started since b4 CNY and yet completed. I also realized that there is no permit applied after the initial one expired in jul 08. Any advice?

Sold last week. Pls close. Available again as the previous buyer failed to honor the deal. Updated the post too as many asked whether its 2nd hand or brand new.

Ever consider Feng Shui ? Mirror is an element of 'water' hence should preferably be placed at areas of your house to enhance the desired outcome (ie, health,family,wealth...etc)... similarly, wrong placement of mirrors may cause some adverse effect/s. Just for considerations.

After i read this forum, i came to know a cool software - Goggle SketchUp. So, downloaded it and 'played' with it and after 1 days of DIY, finally got some advancement in my expected 3D design/drawing to appreciate the result of our to-be-renovated new house at ATRINA Blk 272D. Picture beats a thousand word.. and whats more? 3D Pictures! My Floor Plan Partial Design Completed! Partial Design Completed (with walls removed)! Will share more when we can decide on the details of our reno. Meanwhile, comments are welcome.
