  1. Hi rondy, just take a look at the last 2 pics yeah, totally blocks the windows when closed.
  2. if u mean the line at the bottom, that's one of the tracks for the transformer door. my id proposed that just the track on top is strong enough to hold the sliding door, but i kiasu so ask him to add another track at the bottom. yeah, my wifey always ensure that things are put back exactly where they used to be after use.. i think she will make sure that things are always in place, and i will have loads of cleaning and tidying up to do from now on..
  3. Thanks for the compliments. It may look nice, but I think maintaining this will be very hard work ah.. hahaha.. Anyway, here's a close up of our fake bay window, and my fave photowall.. still waiting for my id to send me the remaining pics..
  4. Hi all, here are the pics! Our dining room Our kitchen Our living room Our living room with my transformer wall closed To be continued~
  5. Hi all, been MIA'ed for a long long time due to my WWW commitments. Our house have been handed over for sometime already, but I cannot move in yet as we will need to wait til the customary then we can move in officially.. Anyway, my ID has gotten professional shots of my place for his blog and he sent me the pics liao. so i will be posting the pics soon~
  6. Hey neighbour, have been mad busy lately with work + wedding preparations so no time to upload pics.. hahaha... will try to upload more pics asap..
  7. if u really interested, they have a "showroom" at jalan permimpin or something.. quite near thomson.. its the house of the stall owner, and have quite some nice stuff there.. their price is lower than the thomson plaza country shop too..
  8. Hi klipp-klapp, Thanks, your place looks great in the photoshoot too.. the wooden worktop got 2 layers of finishing le.. so should be relatively protected bah.. just that we cannot flood the kitchen top bah.. need to be careful loh.. price to pay for a nice look.. Hi Rasp, i helped you measure the gap for the kitchen sink le.. its ard 15cm.. dun think can put alot of things bah.. hahaha.. yeah, we like the dresser too, but for a moment, we were wondering if its too modern for us or not..
  9. hahaha.. no new pics at the moment.. will take more pics after the delivery on saturday..
  10. Yeah, we decided to leave it open for those "taller" bottles or things that wifey will need.. will be putting baskets in them instead.. We got this at a country stall which moves around in different shopping malls.. if i'm not wrong, they are at bukit panjang plaza this week.. anyway sorry for the lack of updates.. been quite busy with quite alot of stuff.. and finally bought my coffee table and tv console from ikea last nite.. even the staff was like, wah! all white ah?
  11. not yet leh.. even after may, i probably will be only staying weekends nia all the way til our wedding in sept.. as for gatherings, maybe after sept? got quite some stuff to settle right now, cos its house warming, solemisation and wedding all in less than 6 months thanks! i think i'll just let my wife decide on the decor bah.. hahaha.. she seems to know wat she wants for the decor stuff.. anyway she is paying for the decor so i dun mind.. heee.. good luck in the nice stuff vs affordability struggle! heee.. hi ashes, sorry i forgot that you asked abt the pics. i took them but forgotten to upload.. heee... anyway, here are the pics:
  12. yeah, i agree. just try to ask loh.. no harm asking mah.. wah.. its been a long time since i practised my mario karting leh.. hahaha.. but bring it on~
  13. hahaha.. yeah, thats the bad thing loh.. will keep playing until u get used to the place.. i only vaguely remember which switch is for which light after my 3rd visit..
  14. hmmmm... let me recall how many switches i have... 14 switches for my living/dining area lights and fan.. hahaha..
  15. yeah, i understand.. renovation is really a siong (financially) but fun phase... but sometimes have to make sacrifices also.. next time got more budget then fulfill other dreams.. hahaha
  16. yeah.. so are u going to get the ikea kitchen too? hahaha
  17. not for every door.. cos its kinda pricey to have it in every door.. hahaha.. anyway my wifey will scold me if i slam the doors.. hahaha my ID subtracted some money per feet loh.. i cnt remember the actual figure le.. i think is $80 per feet or someting like that.. using the ikea door is definitely more expensive, but i think its very well worth it~
  18. hi apple, i think its better to split the lights up, so you can have a choice on how bright u wan u dining/living area to be bah.. for my case, 1 switch is allocated to max 2 lights.. Pro: flexible lighting and save electricity con: extra cost of switch and super difficult to remember which switch is for wat.. but in general, i think having more switches is still the correct option in my opinion la..
  19. hahaha.. no choice la.. wana save cost by getting off the shelf stuff rather than fabricating it mah.. then turns out ikea stuff so suitable.. hahahaha... hmmmm seems like i'm doing free advertisement for ikea huh? hahahaha! we only bought the doors from ikea for the country look, everything else is from the ID's contractor.. but my ID say very headache cos need to measure the doors very carefully as they are fixed sized..
  20. u mean the white shelf at the tv console area or the window shelving? the window shelving is custom-made, whereas the white shelf is from ...*drum rolls* ikea (again) hahahaha
  21. i see.. i'll be officially moving in ard may, and wifey will only be officially moving in after our customary in sept. til then, this will be like a chalet for her nia.. hahaha.. anyway somemore pics here~ this is going to be our tv console area, but we haven't gotten it yet.. looks like we will be getting an ikea one again.. hope it can last.. zooming to the cute figurines we got from the Lim's Art shop sale~ 40% off! think they are quite matching to our theme.. hahaha.. somemore figurines at the shelf beside our "fake" bay window.. and a miniature tea set we got from phuket~
  22. the address is: Picket & Rail Building (Click to enlarge map) @ 566 Woodlands Road Singapore 728697 Tel: 6362 2096 Opening Hours: 11am – 8pm (Weekdays) 10am – 9pm (Weekends & PH) Bus No.: 160,170,178,960,961,927 or visit website: http://www.picketandrail.com/index.html last time we went is cos they have a warehouse sale, so there are some items on sale there.. other than that, i think its just a more complete showroom bah.. the price for our bedroom set is the same at the warehouse. anyway, its quite near to IFC (relatively near) so can shun bian go there loh..
  23. Yeah, i think will take some time bah.. wats wainscoting effect? hahaha.. we never really did much study on the country theme.. just bought a book on country homes, labeled the things we find it nice and pass it to my ID and he pretty much did the rest liao.. hahaha nope, not doing it le.. quite hard to fit in our current design.. hahaha hahaha still need quite some work to be done leh.. but its our job to fill up the empty canvas liao.. hi rasp, if u really want, i can go back this weekend and measure how much is mine bah.. but isn't it better to ask ur ID or contractor about how much he/she would leave there?
  24. actually i think for the best range of picket and rail stuff, its better to go to their warehouse at woodlands rd.. cos their outlets dun carry everything due to space constraints.. eg. my bed set only available at imm, and not IFC and suntec (before it closed)
  25. nature nature or dogs dogs kind? most likely black and white or serpia kind pictures.. how about u?
