Err... I think there is other forumer here who have fireplace.... hmmm.. but maybe they have a bigger house... not like mine.. jus a 4 rm. Yes... there is 2 focal points... TV wall & fireplace.... thats why I challenge the ID to blend these 2 together like it is one. Hehhehehee.... that why you see in the 3D design.. the bricks is extended onto the TV wall... and also to the white wall... both way Yes... their schedule is very on-time. Week 1 :- Haking Week 2 :- flooring & patch up wall Week 3 :- platform, painting, fault-ceiling next week :- Finish up painting & fix WC & washing basin, start carpentry works & living hall lighting (by my father-in-law)

I miss our frens in USA... when I'm with them.. their place is always with a fireplace.. with families pics around it..... It is very family.. and I like that cosy feeling... so my theme is more or less "family" and ofcos... modern classic looking... Ohh... colour choice is abit stuck too cos we decided not to touch the granite flooring

Thanks for all the reply... Yes... very well maintenance place... all things looks new too.. spacious... but my wife doesnt like the pakay floor... so decided to take out the wordrobe & floor (all three bedrooms) Selected ID alrdy. 1) Change WCs, basis; additional extension to cupboard in kitchen; mono tiles for 3 bedrooms; built-in-wardrobe in master-room; TV-Wall & Fireplace; platform for balcony; change room entrances; painting & works - Total $1700 ++

Old Flat Came With Old Tv Antenna Cable, Why Cannot Remove

My father-in-law, who is the electrical contractor for my new house reno (resale flat)... took out the antenna cable. Basically 'cut' it off. I believe he knows what he is doing.. becos he is a contractor himself. Wouldnt 'sabo' his son-in-law right?! -

Yes... just got mine a few hours ago.... 2nd visit to expo (1st visit yesterday night).... got the Toshiba Sys 3, Inverter, R410A, 1/2" insulation, at $2899. Took the offer of 5 years warranty (transport + labours + all spare parts) They have $2600++ pricing too.. but that is for other insulation type.

Jus engaged them. Seen one of their completed reno home.... owner has only positive comments. (even without the presence of Art & Design) Reno works looks okie for me.... Their quote is definitely one of the attractive one in the market. -
Hi Priscilla, I jus engaged my ID and from the look of your items, I believe my ID firm should be able to meet your $15k or jus 1-2k more. For the same job, my ID quoted me much cheaper than 3 other firms I checked with. He quoted me $17K, while most came back with $19k, $20K, $25K If interested. PM me.

Hi, Sad and sorry to see the state you are going thr now. Dont want to comment abt what you have alrdy tried... jus want to suggest possible solution. I have a church friend, (not very close, but knows of the ministry works he does in the area of red light district, ex-prisoners, ah long, etc) I know he able to 'sit down' and 'neg' with ah longs etc. Maybe he might be able to help... This is jus a suggestion, he may not agree/ or do not have the ability to help. If you are keen.... then I can check with him or see if he can come up with better solution. NOTE :- Usually, (hear this fr ah beng friend), ah long tag it to address, and debt sometime are being pass-on from 1 ah long to another ah long.... meaning, they 'sell' the debt to another ah long who is interest to collect back the money... and let another ah long try to collect back the 'bad debt'. Thus... this might go on and on and on..... and end up, diff ah long will keep coming back to the same address. fyi, I dont have prove.

I agree with the rest. 35K is really not worth it... for a place that up north. I jus bought my resale at amk, ave 3, jus 5 mins from MRT... n my COV is 20K.. and that is very high alrdy. Consider that I can get amk at COV 20K.... somemore next to MRT..... you should really forget abt the 35K one. B patience, sure no regrets one.

Not true... I heard fr ppl who know these ah long, sometime, the 'head' changes or the 'smaller head' run away fr the 'big head', or join another gang, else 'sold' those unclaim debts to other ah long..... etc.... and what happen? Other ah long's brothers will be trying their luck in trying to collect back those bad debts... and will only know this address..... That is why we always see reports in papers of ppl trouble by ah long... even though they are not the one owe $$$.

Amk Resale Advise Needed

Hi koopus, I stay almost my whole childhood in amk and I am familiar with the town..... Frankly, (my opinion)... those blks around 350 area are not worth paying that kind of money. reason1 :- Those are new type of flat, meaning pre-fa type, like le-go blocks. also they are very near each other, cos can see the living room of opp blk. (I have fren staying in those blks) reason2 :- sq-area, they are not like the old 5rm(130+sq-metres).... I believe it is only 110+sq-metre reason3 :- though near market and swimming pool... itis still a distance away from MRT and main road (when I refer to main road, it should have direct buses to town).. the nearest road at blk 350 is ave 8, and only buses is 24, 22, 25, 159, 853... 262)... end up... you still need to tranfer to get to mrt. reason4 :- There are upgraded HDB flats, old 4rm type, with upgraded piping, toilets, lifts, additional utility room (3bedroom + 1), corner house, just opp blk 350... and it sq-area will be almost around the same as your 110 sq-metre, jus a few sq metre smaller. Have you seen those??? I believe the vaulation for those unit are around 300k - 390k... hey.... at least 200k cheaper you know!! reason5 :- For a vaulation price of 380k - 450k... you can get 4rm upgraded (3+1) nearby amk central or even 5rm old type with bigger sq-area nearer to mrt. Why I'm pretty sure abt the $$... cos I just bought one 4rm upgraded with balcony (blk 302)... at $390k vaulation... though on the high side for a 30-years old flat... its toilet, piping was changed 8-10 years ago... and it is nearer to mrt. The finally decision is yours. Think carefully. -
