bi-fold door at kitchen is original fr previous owner... we jus painted it over. Main Door is new.... though we initially wanted to jus paint it over too... but the lockset is 30 years old alrdy... soo... decided to change. Got it fr Goodwood (toa payoh)... most recommendated Gave me discount even though I only purchase 1 door + 2 step stoppers; on day of installation, I ask them to ask the vanishing guys to come another day (last min), no issue & no complaint fr them; today aft they vanished..... they never ask me for the remaining payment ($450) So.. if I am dishonest..... the main door will jus cost me $50 dollars!!! Hahaha... not lah... me not like that one.. will go down during the weekdays to pay up the balance. What more can U ask for given such good service!! A +++++ company.

carpentry was supposed to complete today, but got some mis-alignment.. so 95% complete probably finish up on Mon... Doors painted Main Entrance Door installed

I used white worktop before in my ex-home.... generally..... if yr family are the cooking kind... meaning... cook often... then I'm sure will clean up the kitchen often... then... white should not be a prob. If dont cook often.... meaning... long long time cook once.... then it is usually a habit not to clean up kitchen.... then... sometime stain will form if not clean immediately. Black should have no issue.. cos cannot see anyway Ofcos.... if the colour need to blend with theme of kitchen.... then itis really design choice

Yes... I agree with our_home, served by Sally... and not only friendly, patience, also give discount one!!(Even when I jus buy a entrance door + 2 step-stoppers) All their quote includes door+delivery+installation If I ever change doors again... I will definitely go down to them again.

I'm amaze by my ID's schedule of his workers too.... very on target. total carpentry works man-days : 5 days (including tomolo) (Master Rm Wardrobe + Kitchen 1 metre wide full height cupboard + TV Wall + Fireplace + Balcony Suspended cupboard) * not forgetting that for fireplace, they have to wait for the tiler to finished the tiling before they complete the solid top*

Agree with atlantis... I checked with my ID at during the midst of the work today.. and he said too that market is slowing down... business is lesser now.... but the more affected one will be the bigger companies. Anyhow... that means that reno price will be affected.... low demand.... more companies 'worry' more package should come out soon. Sooo... if you are not planning to move in early.... within the next 6 months... it is good to wait..... infact... not necessary waiting... jus go around asking for quote... jus dont comfirm until U fiind a really good deal, with good design & good quality. Jus my opinion

Yeah... that the highlight of my reno... and yesss..... today... the walls are up... and fireplace 90% completed!!!! Yeapie!!! anf ofcos. picssssss...... Went down to Palace of Lightings last week.... very happy with their service and recommendations. Bought all the lightings and ceiling fan from them. Their aft service is very good too. Thought that they given me 2 wrong tubes (cold light)... cos we wanted (warm light)... no question asked.. went down to change it..... come back and realised that it was we mix-up... cos the warm light is quite bright.... so we thought they give us the wrong one. hahaha.... Anyway.. Raymond serve us well.

We back to the lighting shop tonight, to change a pair of tube lightings that I had thought was included wrongly. Turn out that it was not included wrongly after I came back to install it.... We wanted warm-light.. but thought they give us day-light... aft installing the exchanged one with the shop. turn up it is the same brightness.... so it is not included wrongly, but more like tube warm-light is pretty bright itself. Nevertheless.... the shop never question my intention to change it when I call them up last Sat. As promised by the sale guy... I went down today, and the items are there really for my collection. Thumb up for Palace of XXXXX.. though pricing may not be the best..... the service, honesty, sincerity.. never regard.

Finally went down to Toa Payoh to order my Entrance Main Door. ($490- Solid Door) The shop service is great.. and the price is very competitive... I would say a very good price. Have full range of doors there. Bought also 2 step-stoppers..... though suppose to charge me $15 per piece.... she end up give me discount... and only charge me $5 per piece. Will take pic aft installation on Fri. Definitely recommend those who want to change their door(s) to check out this place.

I look forward to moving in before Christmas too.... then can have Xmas cum New Year cum House Warming Party Yeah... we were surprise too when we first step into the house..... cos 30 old 3-4 rooms flat... usually walls not plaster; kitchen have small wall tiles; piping old type;.... but for this owner, he is an agent himself...... thus guess he know he will sell it someday, so I think he did quite abit of reno when he bought it. (piping and additional balcony was done by HDB in upgrading project before he brought it) By the way, I an the 3rd owner of this unit now. Do you have a reno blog too? Love to see your lollipop room too. I still have wall sticker decor that order online that yet to be up in my children's room.

This week has been slow.. though no much has been done physically at site.... we have made lots of purchase (Lighting... WC & accosseries.....) The painting has more or less completed.
