3 months aft moving in... and so far so good... the furniture survived the children!! Still have not found any good fireplace fake woods....... but will take my time.

I changed my main door with this company called 'Goodwood' located at Toa Payoh..... Price reasonable... and service A+++++!!! I'm so please with their service.. that I went back to them 3 times! 1st time - change main door 2nd time - change main door lock to digital lock 3rd time - change both MR toilet & Common toilet bi-fold door (PVC) PM me for contact if U R interested....

I bought my sofa in the midst of reno... the key reason why I felt I didnt size it properly is becos aft going down 2 the furniture shop & seen what we like.... we jus call them to confirm the size of the sofa vis the measurement of our living hall. What I afraid that the sale assistant gave me the wrong measurement... and thus... right now... I can only live with the oversize... yeah... can put the whole family up on it!! Basically I didnt do much to my living hall... jus the TV wall and fireplace.

Yeah... I like it too... customised fr USA (online)... glad it came on time, as I order it only on 14th Dec!!

Jus a quick sharing on 'not the only one looking'.... it is like buying stuff at computer fair, etc... everyone watching... and everyone's eyeing....... does not mean ppl who buy on first day will catch the best deal... and does not mean ppl who buy aft the fair will not get better deal too.... Thus... it also depend on how despite the buyer is.... if not in hurry..... there will always be better deal that may come along the way.... but if buy got the cash & like it very much.... buying at first opportunity may also be the best choice.

Thanks for sharing yr positive view abt the fireplace. Guess it is $$$ worth spending then. Yeap... it is not centred to the TV, as but the TV Wall & Fireplace is kind of sharing the living space... then sofa area is also kind of sharing but the TV & fireplace view. Yeap.... I like it that way.... as I wanted the fireplace to be a family place. Now waiting for the other wall deco fr USA for the dining area... and the master room.

I am not air-con expert... this is what I know... Inverter is more energy saving... tho it cost more... thus, not fair to compare inverter with non-inverter.. if need to... should compare xxx brand non-inverter with yyyy brand non-inverter I bought Toshiba sys 3 inverter last month..... basically what I know is Toshiba's compressor is the only brand that is still 'Made in Japan'. Hope this help in yr decision making.

Hi Emma, thanks to yr recommendation... I used them too. Reno completed this week. Overall, tho there are hip-ups.... like abit tiling problem... wooden door problem, etc A&D (Alan) always responded to my feedback... and always there to offer solutions. 2 nights ago,... aft finding new defect on the toilet door.... I sms him at 3am.. guess what... he even reply me at 3am++ For reno standard.... slightly above average For respond and responsilibity and willingness to hear me out... I take my hat off for him. Guess this is one importance factor to look out for in a ID. Mistakes do happen... but whats more important is the 'aft-sale service'

First of all... jus to give to yr hubby design Next, to share a story to comfort U... Last time in my Air Force Days, there is a very very 'cannot make it' CO of the Training School.. that everyone kana... and everyone hated... so... Everyday when the cadets see his car drive into the school.... they curse he kana car accident. Oh no!! He really kana car accident.... and tho didnt died... lost all his memories!!! So... aft he back fr coma... was downgraded to Air Force Museum Director "Watch Door Dog" Moral of the Story :- yr Contractor kana so many curses fr the forum ppl... sure got cursed alrdy.. jus waiting to happen.....

Thanks for taking time to read and giving me constructive solution...... Well... it is sad to say that my sofa set was the last piece to come in... and before that... with the dinning table in first... I had to decide which way to place it.... as the dinning light will need to be adjusted to the centre of the table. Well... I was taken back too cos I think I over-size the table too!!!... infact... the dinning lighting was adjusted once before (move out of the centre of the fault ceiling toward the centre of the table).... Thus now... that the sofa is in.... and I adjusted the dinning table abit.... I really hate to change the positioning of the table again.. cos that would mean asking my father-in-law (electrician) to move the dinning lighting again... *I think he would kill me if I do that*

Got my coffee table at Furniture club at IFC.. at $599 U want more pic on the 2 drawers as well?? Blue light?... hmmm... thats idea.... guess I can give different type of florescent tube... and change it according to season... hahaha... fake fire.. yes... many before U make that suggestion to me.... I understand the good thought.... but as I mentioned before.... it will jus make it slightly better... but on a whole... it still look fake. The throw light I put it was to make it look abit like fire...... & ofcos... given the $$$$... this fireplace can be even more real... but that is as much as I budget for... and for that kind of budget... I willing to accept what I get now.
