Hi familyof4, I've actually just installed a bifold door from snowden, cost is around $310 inclusive of GST and installation. As I'm very particular about dirt and algae/mould that gets trapped on the lower track and I'm not too comfortable about PD doors, went for this and we simply love it. Here's the webpage from which I purchased my woodgrain lookablike bifold door. http://www.snowden.com.sg/ Cheers, Janice

poor pinkpetter, I too love the idea of having a wall between the kitchen and access balcony. Are your folks still thinking of doing a minor reno?? Thought you just completed your reno in Dec 08??

Thanks preciousjam and pet, think I'll get both the corrugated cardboard (for the floors) and the plastic for the beds. Thanks again

yes, when the aircon guys came over to my place last Thursday to strip the old aircon trunkings and lay the new trunkings etc...(they worked from 10am to 11.30pm), I almost fainted from all the dust and dirt and debris from their drilling. Took me 2 whole days to change all curtains and bedlinens and throughly clean up the place. And now, the painting guys are going to come on Saturday, don't know what to expect, cos first time repainting the place since we moved in 12 years ago.

Yes, full of furniture. In actual fact, we've already stayed in for the past 12 years

Btw, could anyone kindly advise where I could purchase some of those industrial plastic sheets or corrugated cardboard? Wanted to buy some to line my parquet and granite flooring and also the furnitures so that they would not have any paint splattering on them while the workers are painting . Appreciate any kind recommendations.

haha, yep, pinkpetter, you've got to be his favourite. Uncle said you recommended him a lot of customers.

Thanks for your reassurance, pinkpetter. Btw, just curioud, are you the Xiao Mei that Uncle Soon is referring to??

Mmm, Uncle just came to my place and left already. Painting can only be done on Saturday. Uncle said will get them to work throughout till Sunday. Actually my place did not do any reno, but I got Uncle to remove all the build-in shelves as well as the build in cabinet housing my ugly toilet pipes( cos I purchased a new aircon and they needed to tear down and replace all my own aircon truncking) in my MBR toilet. Small project actually, but the removal of my MBR Toilet door( which was custom made wood sliding door type), made a lot of big holes on my MBR wall, which needed it to be plastered up before I could repaint the walls. Have ordered a bi-fold door, but the supplier mentioned that it is better to install the door after painting, what's your take on this? By the looks of it, might have to install the toilet door first than wait for the painters to paint, otherwise, got to go without a toilet door for my MBR for the next few days. (Have already been without a door for almost 10 days, and everyday got to put up with my hubby's "music", as he doesn't like to use the common toilet. Haiz...

Thanks pinkpetter, Uncle just called me, said he will be coming over to my place from Woodlands now. So far have not talked to anyone else except Uncle. So i don't think Jason even knows of my existance. haha

hi pinkpetter, are you able to locate Uncle Soon? He promised to bring 2 malay painting guys to do my painting on Monday, but flew my aeroplane, did not inform me that not coming also, until I managed to get him on Monday afternoon. Then said that couldn't complete the job elsewhere and promised to do the painting today. Supposed to come over to my place yesterday night to collect my paint codes to purchase the paint, waited for him till 11.30pm (then fell asleep). He did call around 11.30pm, but I was already fast asleep, waiting for him the entire day till night. Then today, flew my aeroplaine again. Workers did not turmn up, neither did he. Have been quarelling with hubby the past few days, cos if uncle don't patch up and plaster my MBR walls and do my painting, my MBR toilet door cannot be reinstalled (already told the door people to install today, cos thought painting would be completed by today if started on Monday, but now had to delay the installation till Friday, but today still no painting?? If you manage to find Uncle, please ask him to call me back, cos he told me this morning that he will come over to my place and will an-pai something, but till now still no news. Think hubby won't be pleased again if he still see nothing done today By the way, I'm Janice from Bt Panjang. A Milllion Thanks

Hi aubrey, no particular theme, as this is our first time repainting our house since we purchased it 12 years ago. The previous time, we used all the Natural Whites Shade from ICI Pentalite (Bluebell Classic, Orchid White, Lily White, Apple White). This time round, we were thinking of having bolder shades of colours for the rooms, and for the living roomwe hope to adopt more neutral or earthy tones, with perhaps a feature wall behind our sofa set. Would greatly appreciate any kind recommendations as Uncle Soon will be collecting my paint code to purchase the paint tomorrow. Will be starting painting on Wednesday (if Uncle Soon never fly my aeroplane!!)

http://my.imageshack.us/v_images.php Hi, Sorry for the messy outlook. My son's room is the one with the bicycles in it. The other is the MBR, Guestroom and Study rooms. Thanks

http://my.imageshack.us/v_images.php I've wish to repaint my hall , but I'm undecided as to which paint selection is the most suitable for my hall. We are currently using ICI Pentalite (one of the Natural Whites shade , for the hall, can't remember which shade though). After having lived with this paint coour for 12 yrs, we want to have a different and bolder shade for our hall, without making it look too dark and cramped. We would like a somewhat earthly look thats cosy and without compromising on the spacious feel. As we have never done a feature wall in our home before, could you kindly recommend whether this feature wall should be the full panel stretching from my main door all the way right up to my bar counter, or just the stretch behind the sofa set, or perhaps the wall behind my prayer alter? We would also be greatful if you could also help us with the colour selection for our bedroom doors and main door. The doors colour would be a colour that goes well with the hall colours Our hall is made up of a custom made glass partition for the study room , TV console and Bar Counter (All in cherry wood). As for the rooms, we've tentatively chosen Latte (Dulux All), Guest Room (still undecided), My son's room Melon - Dulux All). Should we paint all the walls in one colour tone or should we have a natural white shade on 2 walls and the contrasting bright tone on just one wall?? Any comments or recommendations are kindly appreciated.
